Equipment is out dated and some are starting to have rust spots. Gym is very dusty , there isn’t anyone cleaning machines (there might be water only in those spray bottles). You definitely need to wipe down before use. The gym gets super packed after work like 5pm. Their turf area is basically unusable at 4-6 due to classes. Sometimes it feels like I’m fighting to use different machines, there’s a lot of people who babysit the same machines. This is NORMAL in most old gyms. There is a kids room somewhere but I have seen small children near equipment so I generally do a scan of the room to check which is annoying. We love the kids just not on the gym floor. My wife’s biggest complaint is the restrooms. We’d love to come early but the bathrooms showers are so gross moldy and always have used (someone’s personal) towels on the floor, rusting shower curtains, it just not appealing. Not to mention the toilet doesn’t seem to be inserted correctly so anytime my wife sit down it the whole toilet moves. My wife is itching to deep clean the walls. This is a decent gym, when staff is there they are very nice. Love the vending machines variety & when staff is the front had pre workouts for purchase. They just really need to step the cleaning up and fix some of the machines. It’s a little pricey for a dirty gym guys.

I dropped in a few times while I was in town and really liked this gym. Clean facility, nice equipment, and the staff was friendly. Had everything I needed for a proper strength training session.

First I would like to say that the owners, Chauntelle and Oli are amazing. I'm visiting from out of town and have mostly dealt with Chauntelle. I can't say enough good things about her. The gym is 24/7 and I had an issue with my key card on Thanksgiving day and Chauntelle came and helped me immediately even though the office was closed for the holiday.

The gym is great, they have very large turf area with at ton of power racks. There is a large selection of plate loaded leverage machines (Hammer Strength) as well as a large variety of weight stack machines. The gym isn't lacking at all. They have an awesome Pendulum Squat and Pendulum Leg Press as well. They even have tanning available. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Absolute Fitness in Bolivar, MO.

They seem to be upgrading a lot of stuff recently (2024). A little crowded only because there are a lot of machines. The loose items like the bands, bosu balls, and a few other items could be in a better spot but overall pretty good.

The gym is under new ownership. Definitely new and improved. This place is so much cleaner, more organized, and wonderful costumer service. I will not be working out anywhere else, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a gym. They also have a great variety of supplements and protein snacks to purchase. The owners do a great job on social media. They will always post if a class has to be canceled, and they do this well in advanced. Communication has been a big difference with the new owners. The owners will occasionally post poles on social media to see what their costumers like and are interested in. They definitely put the satisfaction of their costumers at the top of their priorities. You will not be disappointed with the new management. They definitely care about the place and it shows.

I would give zero stars if that were an option. Not only is this place gross, the employees are very rude and clearly only want your money! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I would rate less than zero. One of my close friends let me know that this place is dirty. Same trash from two weeks ago still in the garbage. I was on the phone with her when she was talking to the rep at the place who was rude and super unhelpful. I will stir people away from this gym always. Also the people they hire to come do classes also just don’t show up.

Update: The actual owner of the gym called me back and talked to me. He said he would refund the membership fees I was charged. I appreciate that and feel much better about the gym. I have changed my rating to reflect this. I hope they will get someone to answer the phone that will reflect the value of the owner.

The gym itself is okay, but nothing to write home about. The locking mechanisms in the red light room and tanning room were always broken so you had to go dig out a key and hope no one got the other key and walked in on you while in the red bed or tanning. I couldn’t ever get my headphones to work with the elliptical machines and no one was ever around to help with it. I had to call and cancel my membership when we were under quarantine, because the gym was closed and I couldn’t go in person to do so. I wasn’t charged the next month. Never heard a word. I figured it was cancelled as requested. Nope, I was charged double this month! And now I have to submit it in writing, by email, and be charged one more time because I have to give 30 days. I fully believe that Covid protocols should have been given another option because I obviously couldn’t do it in person because no one was there, and to charge me two times in one month is absurd! I was even charged my membership fee when they were shut down. I will never do business with this gym again.
