I’ve been a member for over 10 years and continue to be impressed with this facility. The staff is always friendly, supportive, and professional. Horrible gym horrible owner! The lady that is the coach/takes care of the gym/works front desk is very nice and keeps the gym well maintained only reason why I give a 1 star, I’d give a zero if I could. The owner will ban you over anything and everything, harass you if your home gym is in anywhere else but there and want you to switch in order to keep coming. Now I was banned for “letting someone in that didn’t have a membership” but I was under the impression that they are owned by the same corporation and not privately owned. With this being said I tried to explain that I always do this since the time I get off of work and my home gym being Excelsior Springs location and I always pay James at Excelsior Springs. She completely denied me and banned me instantly. After this I stayed away for a little while until I began working from home on Friday’s. I started returning only on Fridays and would pay the $10 even though I’ve had an anytime fitness membership for at this point almost two and a half years. Mind you not this has been going on for about a month I believe, I showed up one day, asked the front desk lady if I could change then give her the money since she was still cleaning and she said that was fine. After I returned I came out and she said that the owner said that she would not let me workout today unless I called and talked to her first. I said I’m okay can I talk with her today and she said sorry she has something going on and she just stepped out! So I ended it with I’d rather just go somewhere else now. The owner also harassed my girlfriend and my buddy for their home location not being the Richmond location and that they should be using Excelsiors then even though they were just visiting. Horrible manager horrible place! I would highly recommend people checking out other locations or other gyms entirely. And if you go through the bad reviews you can see that the owner is commenting being absolutely disrespectful and disgusting especially since she would want this feedback? I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE!

Manager tried banning me because I asked the staff why they wouldn't release me to the gym I originally signed up to. Had to have the Excelsior manager call and explain because the staff didn't tell the manager what I was asking in the first place. Then the manager said it was my fault for not calling her directly? Small gym anyway.

This place is very clean but small. Think of a hotel gym and you got it. I thought I had access to it with my insurance but apparently not. Definitely not worth 20 bucks biweekly with a year contract! Only reason I used it was because it was close lol. I never lied 😅, I can go to every other anytime but yours? Bougie much. I didn't even pay that much for a Genesis membership. It is a small gym compared to others

I been a member of this gym for a year now and I can honestly say it's been worth it! Amy and her staff have all been friendly and helpful with every patron. Amy builds connections with her patrons and helps anyone with their workout needs. The facility is always clean and the staff do amazing at keeping it that way! I also noticed that more patrons wipe the equipment down after using it than what they did at my old gym. So cleanliness has been a HUGE upgrade for me! There is also a vast variety of equipment to use and it's all up to date and well taken care of! I have no complaints whatsoever and can't wait to continue being a member into this next year! Thank you all for all you do!

Clean, friendly and even though I had arrived on a Saturday shortly after the office was “technically” closed, one of the staff looked at his watch, knew he could say it was closed for the day, he opted for a different approach and stated “how can I help you?”

Refreshing to experience this level of caring!

A couple of weeks went by and I had the opportunity to speak to the owner and share how impressed I was with her staff, and I discovered she is just as caring and thoughtful.

Hands down the best anytime fitness I have been to!! Great staff and owners, very clean and great equipment. One of the very few I have been to that has a great variety of dumbells. There is always someone around to spot you when needed or just help in general. They have a great variety of supplements which is always good! Like I said before hands down the best anytime fitness I have been to and I've been to quite a few as I work on the road.

I have been a member of anytime fitness for about 3 years. In that 3 years i have lost 143 lb and feel like a young man again. If you really want to lose the weight go talk to my friend and co owner of anytime fitness of Richmond Mo. and Excelsior Springs Mark Harmon.
