Hiring Jay as my coach has made a significant impact in my life. Initially I was intimidated to work with someone who reminds me of KC’s very own version of Arnold Schwarzenegger. He’s had to train me from the ground up. I knew very little about lifting & have never been super mindful about nutrition. He’s able to educate/explain things to me at a level I understand, ensures that I have the proper form, and helps me with life situations too-like being my own advocate too which gives me confidence in other areas in my life. Plus he’s willing to work with my crazy schedule. 10/10 would recommend!

I started working with Jay my freshman year of college in need of nutrition help. My bodyweight went from 190 to 214 in about a year while putting on minimal fat. Jay is very easy to work with and even accommodated my current financial situation. He has saved me tons of stress and guesswork when it comes to nutrition, I cannot recommend him enough.

Jay is hands down my favorite coach for programming. He works with me and the equipment I have available at a variety of gyms, only one of which I will have access to on a given day. Results are guaranteed if you put in the work. His programming always keeps me on my toes and never gets routine or boring. I work out on principle and am not any longer a competitive athlete, so success is hard to define. I have always been happy with Jay’s individualized approach to training. My situation and my physiology are unique to me, and Jay respects that and works with that to get the best possible outcome for me.

I came to Jay as a high schooler looking for guidance on training and nutrition. His e-book and accountability on food helped me put on 15+ lbs of solid athletic weight, and he tailored his programming to meet my constantly-changing goals and needs: powerlifting, athletic performance, even just in-season maintenance. His talent in communication and people skills helped me stay comfortable throughout the whole process and allowed us to adjust to life changes as they came. After seeing other die hard nutritionists on social media I was skeptical about hiring a nutrition coach. But I am glad that I finally decided to reach out to Jay. I have been working with Jay remotely for about 6 weeks, but I've known him since I moved to KC 5 years ago. I met Jay when I first started reaching out to strength and conditioning coaches to connect with for my sport psychology practice. When I stepped into his gym and had our first chat - I knew I wanted him to train me one day! I stayed up with him and the progress he (and his clients) have made through social media and reached out a couple months ago. I had been struggling to get myself back into the gym due to some significant mental health challenges - that and the myriad of previous injuries I've had in college - and I couldn't be happier with the training and support I've had with Jay. I would 10/10 recommend whether you're a professional athlete or a human just trying to feel good in your own skin. Jay is your guy.

I’ve been working with Jay remotely for about 1.5yrs now and I am still just as excited to see what he has programmed for me each week as I was when I first started. My work schedule is nothing short of crazy and Jay is always willing to work with me/my schedule to ensure my training is still meeting my goals regardless of how much/little time or equipment that I have available. I've been a nutrition coaching client of Jay's for 4 months now and have seen fantastic results in improving my health, losing weight, and most importantly, developing and cultivating habits that I can sustain and KEEP the weight off and continue for the rest of my life. I've lost weight several times, but cannot seem to maintain, and with Jay's guidance I feel I'm on a path to STAY healthy and enjoy life and the occasional treat while not binging or relapsing.
I also recently added his workout programming and am enjoying workouts that are 45 min and I don't feel like I'm spending all my free time in the gym. I feel like I'm working hard, then go back to life. He's also very open to feedback and tailoring things to your goals and life needs/priorities. Can't recommend enough!

When I started using Jay, it was purely coincidental. I spoke with Jay on the phone getting a sense of his training methods and thought process. He answered all the questions I had. I was hesitant at first paying someone for the information I already have. However, accountability and discipline is what I was lacking. I began the training and fell in love with it immediately. Having the workouts readily available at my fingertips along with courtesy videos to properly execute the exercise is a plus. I can say, this literally has become a part of my life style versus something I must do to get in shape. I highly recommend Jay, he’s very personable and accessible.
