I highly recommend Athletes Plus . This is my daughter’s 2nd season with them and her growth not only in her Tumbling and Cheer Skills but her growth as a person have improved greatly. The coaches and staff are wonderful and care greatly for the children .

I have been with Athletes Plus since the very start. I can truly say that this place is one of the main parts of who I am! All of the coaches taught me many life lessons for inside and outside of cheerleading. Everyone who walks into the gym gets treated like family and feels welcome. I meet many of my life long friends from being at the gym for 15 years! Winning the many championships with AP are some of my most cherished memories to this day. My daughters trained at Athletes Plus for over 10 years. Not only did they learn the physical skills required to be successful competitive cheerleaders, they learned the mental toughness and fortitude needed to be important team players.

Owner/coach Melanie Wissore knows cheer. She knows tumbling. She knows coaching. She knows kids. My daughters learned cheer and tumbling skills, fundamentals and technique. They have won national competitions while at Athletes Plus and they have gone on to win national competitions at the college level.

They also learned teamwork, accountability, responsibility, commitment, and time management. They learned how to encourage and support their teammates and coaches. They learned that you have to work hard to get better. They learned that winning is great but it isn’t everything. Being a team player, a good sport and a gracious loser are important too. They have carried on these lessons not only in their continued cheer careers but also in college coursework, part time jobs and careers after college.

I can’t even put into words the invaluable life lessons that our experience with All Star Cheer at Athletes Plus had taught my girls and how important Melanie has been in that experience. I credit her with instilling so many important qualities in my girls. She will teach the cheer skills but she will also teach life skills that will benefit your own kids long after their cheer careers are over. We love Athletes Plus and we love Melanie!

I trained at Athletes Plus from the time I was 10-18 and then went on to cheer at Lindenwood University where I won an NCA collegiate championship. Not only does Melanie and the AP team coach a solid foundations of basics, they emphasize life skills such as good sportsmanship, kindness, responsibility, team work, and so much more. I will always cherish my time at Athletes Plus!

My daughter joined Athletes Plus at age 3 and has been here ever since! The gym did amazing keeping everyone safe during covid, every single coach is great, and it’s such a positive environment. There is no tolerance for bullying or negativity. I cannot recommend Athletes Plus enough. All star cheer, tumbling, and the little explorers toddler program: everything is awesome.
