-Truly high-heat dry sauna (and recently renovated)
-24-hour access is a major perk
-Rewards program

The Bad:
-Often crowded at all hours - late evenings included. It consistently feels more packed than any gym I’ve been to.
Edit: Much less crowded since Crunch Gym opened down the street.
-Locker room cleanliness could be improved. The equipment floor is generally well maintained, but the bathroom and showers often lack basic supplies like soap, and the locker room feels noticeably outdated.
-No direct phone line to the facility, which makes it difficult to reach staff.

Overall:
I still keep my membership primarily for the sauna, which is excellent, but I now work out at a different gym. If you’re here for the sauna and 24-hour access, it has strong value. The rewards program is a nice perk.

This place should face litigation for predatory contract law. Over 50% upmark in interest for leaving early, their corporate customer service doesn’t exist, they place calls and funnel you through to wait for you to leave and stop bothering them. This place needs to be corporately revised and litigated for every single dirty clause in the contract given. Considering many other US gyms are facing similiar issues and losing, it’s only a matter of time until they face a class action. Who knows, maybe I’ll start one? They do not care about fraud, nor pay attention to their actual gyms, I pray for your executives.

If I could give this gym 0 stars I quite literally would. This is the most scammy horrible gym membership you could ever possibly purchase, don't even think about it. Want to cancel at some point, it's going to be the hardest thing you will ever do. Finally able to cancel it? Doesn't matter, they'll charge you anyway. Workers have no idea what's going on and don't even try calling any of the number online because it's just going to be some patronizing AI bot. There are sooo many law suits against this place for contract law. Spare yourself the endless financial suffering and just go to literally any other gym.

A 5+ year member. I recently started using the sauna. They reduced the temperature for some odd reason. I asked them to increase it, and I was literally told "I don't know what to tell you,". That same day, I walked into the sauna and no less than 7 people (everyone) complained about the same issue. Another individual also reported it to the staff, but the staff couldn't care less. Specifically, the Fabio looking guy. Today, I learned that they increased the temperature. After being rude to customers, they went ahead and increased it anyways. So strange...

I had a membership at Club Fitness for almost 4 years. Last August, I wanted to cancel because I was leaving the country for a couple of months. Unfortunately, they only allow cancellations in person, so I had to wait until I got back. While I was gone, I lost my card and had to cancel it. As soon as I returned, I went to the Ellisville location and canceled in person—no issues, no mention of any outstanding balance or late fees, and I never received any kind of notification after that.

A full year later, I get a letter from a debt collection agency called "Aldous & Associates" saying I owe $190. I couldn’t even get anyone on the phone at Club Fitness to ask what the charge was about, so I just paid it to avoid it affecting my credit. Really disappointing after being a loyal member for so long.

I canceled my membership earlier this year because for months i dealt with a knee injury and was unable to go. Before that and after I tried to go often and just the amount of llama headed kids camping on the equipment on their phones and just hanging out was disturbing and frustrating for myself and others simply trying to get healthy. I even switched up from the evening to morning to have a better experience and it was just as packed with kids and unable to have a workout without a pack of llamas crowding the equipment. I thought about resigning up and giving them another chance and honestly I just walked out because it has only seemed to have gotten worse rather than better. It’s a shame to , because it is such a great club to work out in but I am an adult with a job I can’t come in at 2 o’clock in the morning simply to work out

I canceled my membership due to multiple reasons. First starters the 15.00 Plus Membership increase. I've been a member since 2016 and all the clubs have just significantly went downhill. It's just a bunch of teenagers working the front desk that don't even do their jobs and play on their phones the whole time. 2x now I have requested to go tanning and they forgot I was sitting there waiting. They were too busy flirting with the females. I hope Crunch Fitness blows them out of the water.

Good Luck trying to cancel your membership. We canceled my husbands membership on March 19th and yesterday on April 15th, we were still charged $43.58. I called and was told that they need a 30 day notice of cancellation. I call BS on this one!!! They are ripping people off left & right. Actively added extra rubber on the bottom of the machine flat press taking away the great stretch at the bottom. (a big contributor to muscle growth) 👎🏼

EDIT: water bottle machine is still broken and parts are still missing from some machines.

UPDATE: talked to management, (very courteous and understanding) and apparently the extra rubber was added on the machine to save the floor from being torn up. Ironically, people are STILL putting 10 pound plates underneath the machine, even with the added rubber. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏽‍♀️

It's a busy location, but I've always been able to get my workout done without much hassle. Staff are all friendly and helpful. I haven't yet noticed any out of order equipment to be able to comment on how quickly maintenance tasks are performed. Yes, the toilet area in the men's locker room would benefit from more frequent cleaning, but it's a men's locker room, that's to be somewhat expected. Other gym members have been kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful, though I must admit... I've found it a little surprising how frequently my workouts have been interrupted by other members proselytizing religion to me. Overall, this location has satisfied me, and I would definitely recommend it as a great option to anyone in the area.

The gym has weights being left on the machines at all times. No one wipes down after themselves.
Mainly gyms with this predatory cancelation and membership practices are the worst types of gyms. Even if you're moving away they will do anything in their power to keep you in contract. Oh you have medical issues that prevent you from exercising? Guess what you'll have to provide proof of your sensitive medical information to strangers to get out of the membership which they will still probably make you pay 100+ to cancel it.

Very disappointed in this club recently. I have had a membership for years. I spend a lot of time on cardio equipment. Cable channel availability has been inconsistent at best. FOX cable news recently no longer available and cannot get a straight answer why not while others still available such as CNN and MSNBC. What’s going on here?

Picture of the Leg Press at Ellisville location with 14 45-pound weights left on the machine. I see this all the time back there where the machines are. And, there's a camera so Mgmt. can see who's doing it. I'll gladly edit this post and give more stars if/when you actually enforce your own rules about re-racking the weights when done.

Good overall, gym offering many amenities, such as personal trainers red light therapy, private women’s training area tanning,massage, chairs, smoothie bar, and other various amenities. The actual gym is good a balance of cardio, equipment, free weight and training areas easy access for all health and fitness levels a little bit here for everyone. Gym is usually in good overall shape, shower areas and restrooms could usually use some attention. Staff is highly friendly as are the trainers.overall I would recommend to anyone looking for a good 24 hour access gym. Membership is affordable with a couple different options

I’ve been a member since club took over this location from golds and it has steadily gotten worse. The men’s bathroom is disgusting, it is apparent that the employees are doing the bare minimum as far as cleaning. The saunas gross, you’re lucky to find a toilet clean enough to sit on, and even the urinals have build up. It would be understandable if they employees were so busy they didn’t have time to get to it, but every time you walk in they’re behind the front counter on their phones or talking with their buddies.

The only thing that has kept me a member is the location. If it wasn’t so close to my house I’d no longer be a member.

This place used to be the hallmark gym for me to go, but it’s starting to turn into a dump. The men’s bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a month. All the cable machines are broken. Employees sit on their phones the entire time not greeting guests. The least they can do is clean the bathrooms!!

Lots of kids workout here. After staff hours they let their friends in and there is lots of jacking around. They never rack their weights, they sit on equipment and play on their phones and a majority of them are rude. I've worked out at several other locations and this one is by far the worst. Changed from 5 stars to 2… I was switched from Golds and haven’t had any complaints for years. Now my “Premium” membership amenities are being taken away. Instead of adding amenities to the higher membership they’re taking amenities away and making you pay more to get them back. Equipment will be broken for 5-6 weeks or longer, kids sit around equipment messing around, no clock in sauna, no temp gauge in sauna, and as prices raise quality goes down. Lots of people complaining and leaving to go to other local gyms. Sad decline to say the least.

I used to enjoy my time here but after the merger of Golds, it seems to be too busy. After they stopped their slogan of “Lift Local,” it’s had a noticeable drop off in the form of corporate America greed. Less about clients and more about pushing metrics aka increasing prices and making existing memberships severely a la carte. I’ll admit looking over my original contract, it’s allowed but they’re essentially forcing those long time members to either leave the gym or pay double for what they previously had access to before in the form of an “upgraded” membership.

The worst gym I’ve been a member of. It has gone down hill over the years. The layout of equipment can definitely be better. Always dirty in womens restroom and sanitation wipes empty by equipment. You never know who the new manager is of the month. I put my membership on hold because I was tired of the broken equipment, weights not being reracked, kids on their phone sitting on the equipment rather than using it.
I made the decision to cancel my membership back in August and now I notice I’m still getting billed starting in September. When trying to contact customer service they tell you that you’re basically out of luck because they already charged you and no one is calling me back or returning emails.

I’ve maintained my all access membership since I graduated college. This option allows members to use all club fitness facilities, which is great for running errands in a different area or moving to a new zip code. The facilities and equipment are well maintained. However, “peak hours “ live up to their name here. I also prefer they’d kept the Chesterfield location open, as it’s much more convenient for people who live and work there.

I followed my personal trainer, Toby Hall, to Club Fitness after Gold's Gym closed. I've been with Toby for four years and am grateful I found him. He has a great disposition and demeanor and can work with anyone. He also has a degree in Kinesiology, so he understands how the body works.
CF did a tremendous job welcoming and integrating members transitioning from Gold's Gym.
The gym itself is kept clean and well-maintained.
Cyndi assisted and resolved an issue I had getting into the Pulse Studio.
Cyndi and Toby are an asset to your company. I hope you all recognize and appreciate how good an employee they are. Good employees are hard to find and keep.

This is the pastiest gym I’ve ever been to. If you want to see what the typical intimidating gym filled with buff guys hogging the machines in cliques looks like, go to this one. If you are fat or anything other than pale, you will get looks and people will stop in their tracks to look at you in all your glory. I had the three day trial and went to try my second day. The first time was a great experience, dropped the kids there and everything. The second time not great. I showed up and the front desk proceeded to tell me it's three CONSECUTIVE days. I thought I must have overlooked it but upon checking the pass and the website, I can't find anywhere where it says that. So my first issue of that's the case is it should be made more clear.

I then decided I had come this far and would eat the ten dollar one time charge. Was meeting a friend there to workout like the first time. And our kids would play together. The front desk the stopped me and said sorry, we can't take your kid unless you have a membership.

Look, it wasnt the end of the world but it was a waste of time. .I'm surprised they did not make an exception as it ses clear it's not a liability issue it's a money issue.

My health-conscious friends and I decided to utilize the Thera-guns in the BURN ZONE. We found the noise level to be extremely jarring. Thankfully, Erin was accommodating to our request to lower the volume to protect our ear health. I measured the decibel reading after the adjustment and found that the new reading was between 70-80 dB (typical conversation volume is between 60-70 dB). I do not want to post the original decibel reading before the adjustment because I don’t want the audiology police to find out about it and shut down the gym.

This is a good gym! I wish there were more incline and flat benches in the free weights area and a couple more squat racks but it’s a very nicely organized and spread out gym with lots of resources!

The customer service we received upon entrance to exit was excellent. Cameron showed us each and every room, service offered, and thorough explanation of any and all fitness questions regarding use of machines as well as affect on body. His knowledge in particular was stellar and a great example of how well trained employees can relate to their customers. Thanks Club Fitness, can’t wait to start my journey!! Ps the kids are also excited about the kids club and the fun activities there!!

The new assistant manager DJ is killing it at his new role. He is extremely attentive towards guests and staff. Definitely highly recommend this gym.
