Club Fitness is the scam of all scams. Do not sign up. They will make it nearly impossible for you to cancel, and will not be any help when it comes time to terminate your membership. I have paid my account in full (and have receipts), but my account has been handed to collections, and Club Fitness will not confirm with them that my account has been paid in full. There are no phone numbers to contact anyone on the phone. No email addresses to talk to anyone online. And no one in any of the stores has a clue what's going on. They hide and make sure that you are not helped while they continue taking your money. It's a miserable company and miserable experience. If you decide to do business with Club Fitness, make sure you're prepared to make a life-time commitment.

FEMALES BEWARE: 24 HR SERVICE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS: PLEASE READ
I pay close to double price for the 24 hour perk. After 3 months and 4 conversations, the front door will not scan people in through the 24 hour door, under any circumstance. While unacceptable and frankly a complete rip off of my money, there is added danger with the unhoused frequently resting on a bench by the door. So Iโve basically been charged double price for them to lock me out and risk danger with a stranger mere feet away. Charging me twice the price just to lock me out at 2AM next to a complete stranger. Club Fitness should be ashamed of themselves. Go ANYWHERE but hampton for 24 hr service or legit risk your safety.

Iโve been going here a long time. Itโs affordable so idk if my standards just donโt align with the price but itโs just eh. The Astro turf area is often dirty and is usually low on mats even tho thereโs barely anyone using the facilities at that time. The door to gain access to the facilities before staff hours is also very inconsistent. Which isnโt ideal for a woman (or anyone) in the dark. The times I usually go its not overcrowded at all which I appreciate. It gets the job done which is all I can ask for I guess

Make sure you get any cancellations in writing. I have not attended this gym in over three years because I moved out of state in 2021, and cancelled my membership with a front desk attendant before leaving who assured me my account was closed. 3 years later and I am still receiving communication about owing for a gym membership, there is no way to call and get this resolved. I have sent multiple letters to headquarters in Arkansas to cancel which have never been received. The only way to close my membership is to fly back and speak to a front desk associate which is insane. This has been a nightmare just to close a gym membership, should not be able to collect from someone and have zero way for members to communicate over things like this.

Been a member for years and am so frustrated with their fraudulent business practices. Apparently creating an account with them means youโll never be able to cancelโฆ. I moved and had to go in person to cancel my account (ridiculous they have a website and app but you canโt cancel online). Anyways I went in person to cancel, used their kiosk to cancel but was not provided with a cancellation receipt (their automated phone line said I should beโฆ.). I spoke with staff and requested a cancellation receipt and they said it hadnโt updated yet in their system โwould take a few weeksโ. Itโs now a month later and theyโre still charging me for my membership. Absolutely disgusted with their business practices and will be reporting them.

New update - now that they changed the codes used to get in again, the scanner on the door doesn't work for my phone anymore. Now you get to stand outside while homeless guys on drugs yell at you to kick down the door - not exaggerating. Maybe if you're lucky someone will leave the club and let you in eventually. Get it together, guys! Access is the most fundamental part of a gym membership and you can't even manage that!
Been a member for about 5 years. I like the location and the equipment, for the most part. I wish the management wasn't so incompetent and hard to reach, though. A simple comment or feedback box for overnight users would suffice so we could tell them when something breaks or when the music is blasting ridiculously loud. The thing that really got me angry, though, was this month when they downgraded my membership without telling me. I had 24 hour access to all locations. Then they restructured their memberships (raised prices) downgraded me to non-24-hour access at only this location. I understand costs go up and would have upgraded had they told me. They have my email and mailing address and push notifications on their app on my phone. I get other emails from them about when they are hiring or when there are closures or policy changes. The staff person at the desk said they had signs posted in the gym for a while, but I was very busy at work and was unable to make it to the gym for a couple weeks, and frankly modt people don't read signs at the gym - thankfully I did 2 weeks after they downgraded my membership. Get it together, Club Fitness. I would have upgraded had you told me. Basic customer service starts with communicating to loyal customers. Looking into other gyms now that are better managed.

It keeps going downhill with the plaza itself desperately needing a face-lift. They keep rising prices and pulling things, and putting money into the wrong things. Plus, the rising issue of non members sneaking in and sleeping or hanging out in the locker rooms and being odd to the point you don't want to even lock your stuff up. Looking into other gyms.

I feel very comfortable coming here after the first year it gets very very busy with all the New Year's resolutions but by around April everybody gives up and it slows down to a reasonable pace to where you can get a machine easily. The showers are not good the restroom downstairs is not that great there are plenty of lockers though be careful do not leave anything in your jacket if you hang it up and make sure you have a lock on your locker or they will still everything you have there are thieves that come in there just to steal.

I've stayed with the same rate that I signed up with 2 years ago but they've been charging more money after having everyone switch over from legacy or whatever. Was specifically told that everything would stay the same just needed to "update" my account; but the amount that is withdrawn from my bank account has increased. Honestly very shady. One of the best gyms I've been to. The gym is always clean and there's a wide variety of equipment. The best part is the staff, who are always friendly, attentive, and eager to help (the assistant manger, Robert, even went out of his way to help me jump start my car). This location is far less crowded than the Maplewood location. Overall, it is a pretty decent gym. The main issues I have had relate to the basement (free weight section). The floor is uneven, especially around some of the squat racks, which creates a problem when lifting. Also, I do not get cell reception, which could be positive or negative, depending on how you view it.

It should be as easy to cancel as it is to sign up. Thereโs no reason why I should have to jump through all these hoops to cancel if I was able to sign up in 5 minutes.
They also take away amenities that were originally promised in your contract and tell you that you have to upgrade and spend more money to get access to those amenities.
Also be aware a lot of the positive reviews are incentivized because they were offering free smoothies for reviewsโฆ

I have been a member of club fitness for the last 14 years. You can imagine my disappointment today when I was absolutely humiliated and embarrassed by an employee at the Hampton location.
I paid for an energy drink today with my barcode and proceeded to go to my workout class. The employee , Cyndy Rossner was incredibly rude and entered the workout area, loudly accusing me of not paying for my drink in front of the entire group. This was beyond embarrassing. I was shocked and reminded her that she knew me from another club fitness location, and she processed to accuse me of โsneaking in to the womenโs areaโ in front of everyone. Being a business owner myself I would have fired my employee if they had dared to accuse a customer of essentially stealing. I received no apology from anyone and I have contacted the Ceo of the company as well.

Thought we paid almost 40$ a month + +40$ every 6 months(80+$ annually) for a CLEAN, safe, and a company that actually stride for utmost quality customer care.... but that's clearly not the case bc they're clearly looking into the hospitality field due to the overhead "costing" too much to have staff overnights to prevent the non members from sneaking in and sleeping half naked on the hydro beds let alone BE THERE IF GOD FORBID SOMETHING HAPPENED AND WE'RE IN NEED OF IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE granted you've raised our monthly membership fees 30+%.....
Not to mention too cheap to even override the systems for your hydro chairs for us to use when it malfunctions(as usual) when you're already LIMITING US TO 2 A DAY NOW....
So for anyone that wants to pay more for less and help donate to their failures for their new workout room/ program that every member is having to indirectly pay for annually losses (can't even use the room I'm referring to unless you sign up for their personal training which is an absolute joke from an workout and financial standpoint)....
Than this place would be the prefect place for you to burn your money and help the idea corp America dirt bag get richer....
P.s, you can't even call or get ahold of anyone directly for any of the locations let alone corp bc there supposedly.... they don't even have s corp store you can even call....

Save yourself a headache. Lies, deceit, fraudulent charging, no customer service, and inability to make things right when things go VERY wrong. You will not be able to reach anybody in stores to address things that may come up. They want your auto payment and place measures to ensure that they get money out of you.
Was fraudulently charged $50 after paying out my contract. They had no record of me cancelling even though I was given a receipt. This is after I was lied to about being able to drop down a fitness plan if I was too busy and they said Iโd be charged for it. Zero availability to solve clerical or billing issues.
It was a nightmare finally getting ahold of someone through their 3rd party.
Take good record if you deal with this company otherwise they could take your money when you need it the most after you pay a lot of money to cancel the membership.
It will take 3-5 days for me to get my money back from when they wrongfully charged me.
Too bad I canโt leave 0 stars.
Wonโt be recommending club fitness to anybody, and Iโll be warning them about my constantly bad experience and zero customer service or phone help availability.
Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else.

Clean and nice gym. A great variety of strength and cardio machines, with the second floor serving as a free-weights area
This location is not very busy usually.
The staff is always friendly and helpful with anything needed.
Some more fans or other ventilation would be nice and the water dispenser to cool the water vs lukewarm.
The location does not include the sauna, but the range of equipments and the business compensate it for me :)

They're giving away free smoothies for reviews. My review is actually honest. Check out all of the BBB complaints, then sign up elsewhere. They're taking away tanning, child care, and red light therapy from memberships, even if you're already in a contract. You have to upgrade for more money every month and sign a new 1 year contract to get the amenities that were previously in your contract. Angry owners/management that have zero clue how to deal with members.

I've been going to gyms in the STL area most days for the past 8-9 years and never experienced the problems I have here. Before joining the Club Fitness on Hampton I was a member at the Planet Fitness on Kingshighway & Chippewa for 2.5 years, which is not as nice of an intersection as Hampton & Chippewa where Club Fitness is located, but never had an issues.
I joined this Club Fitness in early June of 2022. On Labor Day, September 5th @ 5pm in broad daylight, my car had a passenger side window broken in the parking lot close to the entrance and was stolen without a key. This was not a Kia/Hyundai if you're wondering. The next day it was totaled during a police chase. When the first officer responded on Labor Day he pulled up and said "no cameras in this shopping center, eh?". He was right. Not a single camera.
One month later on Saturday, October 5th @ 5pm I found an unloaded, semi automatic .25 caliber pistol in one of the two ~3' tall planters about 12' away from the Club Fitness entrance. The police came and picked up the gun.
A few weeks ago, I believe it was Tuesday, January 10th around 5:30pm, I was running on the treadmill near the front of the building when there was a shootout in the parking lot. We all had to hide in a back room for 5-10 minutes until police came and cleared the building.
Today, Monday, January 23rd at 6pm I pulled into the parking lot and counted three different cars that had their windows broken into by thieves that left glass all over the parking lot. I drove home.
1/29/23 edit: this past week alone there have been three armed carjackings in the parking lot.
Back in July of 2022 there were people going into locker rooms to steal car keys from unlocked lockers, although I only saw this on Facebook.
Good luck. It's a nice gym but that parking lot is high traffic, lots of bus stops around, no cameras, and no accountability. Thieves target gyms too so this is the worst one you can go to around here.

I moved over 3,000 miles away and tried to cancel over the phone. They said they required me to physically go in even though my initial sign up was just for 1 year. I had to cancel it via my bank. They then sent it to collections even though my initial year is over and I cannot go to the gym. I plan on reporting this to the BBB as well and talking to a lawyer.

I frequently go to Hampton Club Fitness because it's nearby. I appreciate it's overall cleanliness and Staff friendliness. I prefer the Club Fitness in Afton because it is just as clean and friendly plus has big screen tvs in front of the running and bicycling type equipment so I can watch sporting events and don't have to worry if the individual tvs are working. I find I can workout longer with this type of distraction and also workout next to my friend. Maybe some big TV's could be suspended from the ceiling at the Hampton Club in that area.

I love this location. The staff is always friendly and the gym stays clean. Today I came in to workout and didnโt have my key fob to check in. Not knowing, they have a new system now where you can scan barcode on door or app to check in moving forward. The staff was really helpful today assisting me with creating an account on the CF app and provided me with bar code number to use for future check-in visits!

I enjoy coming to this location because the staff has great customer service and they are friendly along with welcoming.
It is very common to see at least one steak member cleaning. I also utilize their personal trainers and they are outstanding. Isil, my trainer is great. She has helped me stick with coming to the gym for over 6 months now.
I havenโt figured out the busy times for it sometimes changes but the crowd here is welcoming and they mind their own business. I have never felt judged or uncomfortable.

The new manager as of May 2022 is great. Locker room is so much cleaner and the machines are being cleaned. Good work!

Been going to this facility for about a year. The staff is very attentive, welcoming and receptive to whatever you need. The facility is always clean. It would get 5 stars if it had more barbell weights downstairs. In particular 5 & 10 lb plates can be hard to find during peak. I'm wrapping up training with Allie. She's been awesome, extremely encouraging and dedicated to my progress. Would definitely train with her again!
