This gym is one of my favorite places in all of Columbia. It's got lots of interesting movements on the set boulders, the best community comps I've ever climbed in, Saturday morning yoga (!!!!) and serves as a hub for the local climbing community. I hope it's around forever.

This place is absolutely amazing! Me and my daughter who is 10 years old, go there on regular bases. Over last 4 months my daughter is on the intermediate team who meet Tuesdays and Thursdays.
It is perfect for families to stay active and have fun.
Staff are so nice,

My son and I absolutely love CoMo rocks. If you ever wonder if your child is too young, my son started climbing at 3 and my friend brings his 2 year old, highly encourage bringing them to climb. Everyone is so nice and it has become a comfortable place for us to hangout and climb. Not only has my son's confidence gone up, mine has as well as well as my strength. I was an injured runner who felt they lost a large part of them, CoMo rocks gave me something new to focus on and achieve.

Stopped by this gym when visiting family in Columbia, and was very happy with the variety of bouldering routes. I appreciated that there was a baby top-roping wall so that young kids and beginners (that are afraid of heights) can get started on less intense routes. An overall clean, solid spot with helpful staff!

CoMo Rocks is an excellent bouldering gym. The are tons of routes that are reset regularly, a Beastmaker wall, a Kilter Board, a gym space, and even showers!
Route setting has only gotten better since I've become a member. Staff and owners are great.

I'm new to climbing and now subsequently "hooked" after my brother got me to go a singular time to CoMoRocks. I've recommended it countless times as a gem of a beginner bouldering gym, but with a load of advanced routes. Sadly, unlike climbing ratings, I can only go up to five stars for this amazing place.
(edit: No longer a beginner, and wow; it's still just as amazing!?)

An awesome bouldering gym. Friendly staff. Helpful regulars who love to chat and meet new people. Routes are well-made, regularly refreshed, and designed to teach specific techniques, e.g. toe hooks, pinches, pockets, etc.
Heard a rumor they may add toproping somewhereβsure hope they do!

Great option for rock climbing in Columbia. Bouldering walls are tall enough for a challenge. They have programs for children. In general this is a friendly place for children.

My family and I go to Como Rocks weekly. It is a special bonding time for us.
Many of the climbing areas are accessible for my 4 yr old. She has really taken to the sport.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Thank you, Como Rocks.

At first I was a bit skeptical however once I made my first trip in I was amazed. The owner was super cool, the layout was super clean and professional, good air flow throughout the building, great lighting and just overall a great place to climb. Go check this place out!!!

Cool rock climbing gym! Our group of 3 each got day passes along with shoe rentals, and they were pretty reasonable prices.
As beginner climbers, we very much appreciated the harnessed areas to warm up before trying out the easy bouldering paths. The facility itself has liquid chalk provided, a kilter wall that you can connect your phone to to load up different customized paths, a smaller harnessed area, plenty of bouldering walls with hard and easy tracks and even aerial silks. There's a chess board in the middle of the place for climbers looking for a quick break.
Overall a cool place to check out if you're into exercise/ outdoor activities.

We brought our summer camp program in and they treated our kids like champions. McGowen was really good at encouraging the kids to stretch and got them to the next level. Great energy and the staff was constantly making sure the kids were safe. What a great addition to the COMO culture. The place was clean and organized. Will use again and again.

The overall sentiment I would like to express after being a member with this gym for the past few months is "meh."
It's a fine bouldering gym (and regardless what their website says and the presence of auto-belays - it IS just a bouldering gym in disguise) with some interesting routes - plenty for all individuals of any ability to find something and be successful. Their kilter board and spray board are very nice, and even their low level climbs in the V0-V1 tag range are a bit more interesting and fun than just simple ladders (which is quite difficult to do!) Their grades are quite spotty and inconsistent, with the V4-V5 blue tag covering a WIDE range of difficulties in my opinion and the V6-V7 green tag being quite soft pretty consistently. This is non-unique to this gym, however, as most gyms struggle with this and I feel it is an issue inherent to climbing grading systems.
I suppose my main qualm with this gym is that the price is very disproportionate to what they offer. $65 a month (with a student discount) with a $60+ start-up fee for a rather small bouldering only gym is quite ridiculous when you consider that it costs much less than that for a gym like Sequence KC with 130 boulder problems and MUCH more space.
The events (that you must pay for even if you're a member) were also run quite poorly in my experience. I was particularly disappointed by the Magnus Midtbo event, wherein they had a Q&A full of questions that he has previously and repeatedly answered on his YouTube channel and the place was so packed you could barely get on the wall. I overheard one of the owners mention they booked 80 attendees for this event, which if you've ever been in the space you could imagine how sardine-like that would feel. Magnus was supposed to be walking around and providing feedback to people's climbing, but he ran and hid in his make-shift green room (the weight room with a curtain placed over it) probably because he was absolutely overwhelmed and I don't blame him. I left early feeling like my time and money was wasted. It was a clear money-milking endeavor - quality be damned.
This place is fine but really more expensive than it's worth and the events are not great. I hope they open up a larger location where they can actually climb top rope and lead, at which point their pricing would be a bit more justified.

Came up from Springfield and stopped in for a quick session. I would recommend advertising as a bouldering gym since the walls are all the same height and most routes are for bouldering instead of top rope. Overall a great time with lots of fun routes with variety from new climbers to experts. Will be coming back (just without my harness next time).

My 8 year old son had a blast & Jalen (apologies if misspelled) was super helpful. He explained everything very clearly and directly to my son, made sure he was comfortable and let him know he could ask questions if need be. Will definitely be going back again.

First off all of the staff makes you feel completely at home and safe. The routes are the best that I have ever climbed! Daveβs V4 made me feel like a V4 climber but it was a little on the soft side for personally. My favorite route that I didnβt top was the magic school bus. Overall 7/10.

I really love this gym already, been waiting for it to open for 3 years now. There is a wide variety of routes available, although the V2s are all pretty muscley. Love the bathrooms and general aesthetic of the whole place. But here's my main gripe:
They just announced that their main hours will be 12-8, which is pretty shocking. As an ordinary adult, I work a 9-5 so I will have to commute home, eat something, then commute to the gym and will most likely be faced with an extremely busy atmosphere until 8pm. Because who has time to go climb at 1pm on a Tuesday? I fear that most people are like me, who will only really utilize the hours of 5-8, resulting in a way overcrowded gym that is already pretty small. I was there last week where just 25ish people seemed like a lot for the facility to handle. I was expecting CoMo Rocks to be like other climbing gyms, which are generally open 11am-10pm. I'm afraid that if it's too busy during the hours I can go, I will have to cancel my membership because it just won't be worth it. I hope that's not the case and I hope they change the hours to be more accommodating.

Thereβs a good variety of routes for all skill levels. Most of the gym is bouldering, but there are some auto belay and top rope set ups too. The kilter board is really cool too!
As a member myself, Iβd I definitely recommend a membership if youβre serious about climbing and wanting to improve your skill.
