I had the pleasure of using this gym while being in town for the holidays and it exceeded my expectations! The quality and quantity of equipment is impressive and the staff were awesome!

Great place. Nice people.
Don't listen to the people who say it's too cold. If it's a little chilly, quit complaining and throw on a pullover. And then you start working out and you get warm and take it off. That's what I do sometimes.
Being a little on the chilly side is better than being a hot humid gym - which are the worst.
Crunch Fitness is a great place!

Tried to cancel my membership. No communication from them at all. Had to go in to cancel and they’ll still charge you. Management is terrible

Well it’s subpar at best. Everything is crammed together and people are literally on top of each other. The layout is meh and there’s no good area to stretch without getting plowed over by people milling about. Benches are bolted to the ground which gives you no room to move around. No cleaning areas, so none of the equipment is clean. You’re just laying in other people’s sweat. Bathroom/locker room is so small and cramped. I’ve had better.

Very clean and very big. A far shot from the one I normally go to in Columbia. I wish my home location were as nice and clean as this one.

Honestly a great gym. Everything is brand new. Tons of equipment, plenty of space. Even when it's crowded, it still feels relatively spacious because of how large the facility is. Nice amenities too.

My only critique is that the locker room sauna is not hot enough. It feels 130-150F. The ideal temp for saunas is around 170-180F. This requires much less time in the sauna and will keep it less crowded. Please consider pumping up the temp, management!

BET this place shuts down in less than a year. Might look nice on the outside but once you get inside and know the 'staff' it's offensive and a turnoff. I'm going elsewhere.

Buyer Beware! Says month to month but when you try and cancel they put you through many loops to cancel your membership. Then when you put a block on your credit card to not be charged, they use separate mids from other locations to charge the card on file. Since you signed a 'contract' they submit that to your Credit Card company and unfortunately you'll lose every time. So when you sign that month-to-month just know it'll be closer to a year!

I signed up before this gym even opened as one of the first 500 “lucky” members. Just two days later — before the gym officially opened — I cancelled my membership. I was told my account was deleted, my information removed, and that no further action (like paperwork) was needed.
Four months later, I was charged over $160 in three separate transactions. I contacted the manager, Aron, who offered me 5 months free instead of a refund — which I never agreed to. When I asked for my money back, he told me to speak with someone named Dan and to check back later. I never heard from anyone again.
To make matters worse:
I never used the gym at all.
They entered my email address incorrectly.
They’re now claiming I needed to sign cancellation paperwork — even though I asked about that up front and was told it wasn’t required.
They continue to say I agreed to free months instead of a refund, which is completely false.
Extremely disappointed with how this was handled. I was charged for a service I never used, given the runaround, and ignored. Be cautious when signing up.

A great place for a great workout. Tons of weights and machines--never have to wait even at busy times. Classes galore, and tanning too. A complete fitness facility.

The gym itself is very clean and has plenty of equipment. However the services offered such as the scale that’s used to track your progress (whole point of a gym) is obsolete unless you schedule a training apt with a trainer. This was suppose to be included however the trainer staff is very rude unless inquiring about a training package. Considering canceling my membership.

Really like this Crunch! The place is clean, the staff is super friendly, and the vibe is always good. There’s plenty of equipment and it never feels overcrowded. The gym has everything you need, and the energy here just makes you want to work out. Definitely my favorite spot to get a good lift in.

Price is great, place is clean, lots of equipment. Even when it's busy, there is still equipment available. I get greeted by name when I walk in, the kids club is very secure. I like that they have specific workers only for kids club compared to other local gyms that have teenagers watching your children. Highly recommend!

I joined before the Manchester location opened. Such excitement and high hopes. I signed up for personal training. Had an absolutely amazing trainer, then she had to leave for family reasons. I was not comfortable with anyone else so I wanted to cancel the training sessions. Contacted the club advised them my plans and that with my extremely busy work schedule I would b in as quickly as I could to do the paperwork. Then they withdrew 240.00 from my account. I left work went into have a conversation. Didn’t go well I signed the cancelling of the training then they charged another 240.00. My trainer left end of June and I had no more sessions. I was so aggravated I also cancelled my monthly membership. I believe that Crunch must reimburse me a minimum of $240.00.

I had to change to 3 stars
1. I was told by counter person I could t work out as a guest which was part of the reason I signed up ( I eventually did )
2. Do not go when the loud classes are going on it's so chaotic and disturbing smd yiu can't even hear your workout partner at all even standing right next to them ... otherwise .. it's a great place just today was not a good experience

was debating whether or not to give this four stars, but I went with five because you really love the place... The only problem I have is the trainers like to hang out and talk to people on the machines and it takes forever. They'll hang out and take up a machine talking to their customer or client for sometimes a half hour and they don't move and you just wanna work out and move on.... I don't really think that's very considerate and they're not doing anything. They're just talking they could go talk somewhere else unless the people who wanna work out Workout

However,

My wife and I are so happy we joined this gym. I have met some of the most wonderful people at this gym have worked out. There's plenty of space very minimal times of having to wait for something .... But the people who work there are just absolutely amazing just wonderful people and the gym is outstanding

BEWARE! As Zeeshan said! We had Same Experience. Just READ everything you are signing!!
Went round and round with them for a couple months trying to resolve. First attempt to cancel was an online form outlined on Crunch's Website, which apparently doesn't count as cancelling! Ended up paying 2 additional months And an 'Annual Fee' also for something never used.
They conveniently charge Annual fee after a couple months in. Didn't realize this would happen (I'll take the responsibility for not reading the Many pages of fine print). Ended up cancelling only to realize still have to pay the 'Annual Fee'. In order Not to pay the Fee, you have to cancel within 60 days of signing up. They don't charge you the fee until nearly exactly 60 days in, so unless you've read the fine print on this and cancel before they bill you, you can't get it back because now it's past 60 days! Yiiikes...!!! Sheistery IMO. Never Again!
Good Luck. I'm sure the gym is nice for those who use it.
***Recommendation: Just Know what you are getting into before Signing anything.

The equipment is great and plentiful, locker rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly. I see Doyle and Casandra the most often and they're always friendly. Everyone else is nice too though. I had a slight billing issue with the wrong payment form being billed and the Managing Partner, Dan, took care of it promptly. It's a great club by any standards, and especially at the price point.

Finally switched here from another commercial gym. Big shout out to Michael Tinsley who signed me up, he’s a great human being. Andrew Stevens is a phenomenal fitness expert, leader, and inspiration in the community. Lauren, one of the trainers, was incredible in our 1 on 1, really listened and helped me with exercises for rehabbing and strengthening my shoulder/knee injuries.

Atmosphere and environment here is unmatched, friendly and welcoming staff. Equipment and capacity is next level and beyond any commercial gym I visit. Everything is clean and organized, the amenities, recovery tools, and childcare is exceptional.

The negative reviews are unlike what the gym actually is and I find them to be untrue. Any gym you goto is going to have their annual/sign up fee’s and Crunch’s staff makes it clear. For the price you pay and the great luxuries you get from this gym, it’s well worth it.

These people care about their passions, they care about the community, and they care about you. Great job, ya’ll!

BEWARE - Joining Is Easy, Canceling Is a Trap. Read the Fine Print Before Joining!

I signed up for Crunch Fitness during a $1 promotion. Later, I froze my account due to some personal responsibilities, yet I started receiving emails asking me to pay an annual fee. I didn’t understand why I’d owe anything for a frozen account, so I didn’t pay and they added late fees on top.

When I went to cancel, they demanded the annual fee, late fees, and one extra month of membership. I ended up paying $110 for absolutely nothing. Over time, I’ve paid more than $150 without ever using their gym once.

Signing up is quick and easy online, but canceling is a whole different story. You have to go in person only when the manager is available (9 AM–5 PM). If you can’t make it during those hours, it’s nearly impossible to cancel and they’ll keep charging you.

Everyone should carefully read their terms and conditions before joining. There could be hidden charges and policies that will hurt you later.

No, I would never recommend this to anyone.

Got a membership in may. It is now August. Look in my bank account and I was charged $70 after getting charged twice before with a normal membership amount. I talk to the employees and they say that it’s the annual amount and that I can’t get rid of it. When I was signing up no one made me aware of this annual fee and it doesn’t make sense that I was charged for it 2 months later. I was planning of pausing my membership for school but now there’s no point since I’m good for the year. I also can’t cancel it for next year till 30 days before insuring that most people will probably forget about it.

My son and I were excited to attend this gym only to get turned around because of the kids care is over capacity. Now I have a 5 year old crying , please have a better system like reservations for a kid slot or have enough employees where your not turning people around do to capacity, I guarantee there going to run into more issues because of this !

It would be REALLY nice if the dressing and shower areas were a bit more private. My self along with other members are seen changing in the stalls. Not all of us want to be on display and I with CRUNCH would've thought outside the box with that to be different from other gyms. The showers stalls are small and no where to put your things if youre not comfortable with everyone seeing you naked and exposed and have to change in them. Also would be nice to add bronzing tanning beds as well again another was to be different from the competitors.

My boyfriend and I were given a tour by a guy named Michael (we think that was his name) not too sure if he is a manager or not. A couple times throughout we exchanged looks because of what he said. First time was when walking past stair mills. A guy was on one walking pretty fast and the worker made a comment about him being lazy because he was leaning against the handles and on his phone. Second time was when walking past the abductors and adductors machine. The worker called them “naughty and nice girl machines”. As a young girl, if I wasn’t with my boyfriend I would’ve felt way more uncomfortable than I was with him. As someone that’s worked in a gym for nearly 2 years as front desk staff and manager, I’ve given my fair share of tours and know how to give one. These comments were weird and the reason I decided to stay with my current gym.

Cannot say enough good things about crunch! I was SOO excited for the gym to open and it has not disappointed! Whether it’s being greeted by the staff with “welcome in” or “see you tomorrow” when you leave, you know they actually care about making it a great environment and community. I love how even thought they have only been open for a little over a month, they already feel like friends!

There is NEVER a shortage of equipment or weights and several different areas to work out in. I LOVE how if you want a more private workout, you can go into the HIIT room If a class isn’t going on. The entire gym is immaculate and you can tell they take great pride in keeping it that way !

The classes are PHENOMENAL(especially the Hot classes) and the instructors make classes Fun! I’ve taken FULL advantage of the R&R center/pretty much every amenity they offer. It’s so nice to see the managing partner on sight and hopping into classes with us too! You won’t regret joining!!

I really like this gym — great space and equipment. The only issue is people constantly leaving weights on machines. Every workout, I end up unloading multiple machines before I can use them. It’s frustrating and bad for the equipment long-term. I’m honestly considering canceling for that reason alone. It’d be great if this could be enforced more.

Amazing place, amazing staff. Started a membership and had my housing situation fall out very suddenly, used it for less than a week.

Instead of tacking on any service charges/payments for the days I used the gym, they waived any exit fee and made the whole process 10x easier on my end.

If I’m being honest, I wish I was still working out there instead. Definitely recommend!

Clean gym with lots of equipment! My only issue was with the front desk. Checking in was a little bit of a hassle only because I joined at the St Peter’s location and after that, I did not receive a tour so I had to figure out everything. When I asked an employee where a certain piece of equipment was, he either wasn’t sure what I was talking about or he didn’t know exactly where it was. I hope management works with their staff to coach them on tours so that new future members can have a better experience

We travel across the country, which is one of the reasons we have a Crunch membership. This is the BEST Crunch location we've been to. Plenty of equipment, large space, the new line of bikes, plenty of weights, the plate loaded neutral grip trap shrug machine, and so much more. The only negatives, it was freezing cold, and no neutral lat bar.

Good job Crunch!

I would love it here and I’m sorry to leave a semi-negative review but dmnnnn this place is like a walk-in freezer. We are loving this new gym! Facilities are nice and clean, each class I've taken has been fun. We especially love Kid's Crunch. I have two kids [5.5 and 3.5] who ASK to go to kid's crunch. Everytime we've dropped them off the people working have done a great job and made the kids feel safe. Last night my son was having some trouble settling in and the staff was kind, respectful, and helpful. My children are both neurodivergent and we've struggle in other kids places with workers being mean or dismissive of my kids. Everyone at Manchester's location has been kind to my babies which makes it so much easier to enjoy my workouts. Thank you! We will continue to be back!

I primarily joined the gym for the classes they offer. I hate that we can book the classes only 22 hours before and even if you keep a track of the booking time, the class gets filled in a split of a second. This is just awful that you miss your class booking if you don't hit the 'Book Now' button within seconds of when its active.

The gym is great! Staff is very friendly and facility is really nice. One thing I would love to see are some rowing machines that are outside of the HIIT Zone. Currently all the rowing machines are located in there and if a class starts you have to leave. I wish they had a few with all of the other cardio equipment in the normal part of the gym. Small issue and not worth removing a star for.
