I recommend this place 100X over again for birthday party’s. I love that it’s a private party, and you get the venue to yourself. They made set up/clean up a BREEZE. Nicole was our party host and she was AMAZING. She made it so fun, and talked to all of the kids. She played hide and seek and really just made the whole experience even more fun. We will definitely be back for more parties in the future.

Love this place. Coaches are great and they have a variety of classes for both competitive and rec. We have been going here for a few years and have enjoyed it, so have our kids.

Our coach was inexperienced and incompetent. Her lack of knowledge of appropriate technique was dangerous. Owners refused to return calls despite the thousands of dollars they were receiving from me. Entire business is unprofessional. Go literally anywhere else.

ETA: This is absolutely the correct business. The fact that you want to hear from me now but had no interest in addressing my concerns in real time speaks volumes to the integrity of the way you choose to run your business.

My son has taken gymnastics at Edge the last 3 years. I am so impressed by not only how strong he has gotten and how many skills he can do, but by the emphasis on a well-rounded athlete that is healthy both physically and mentally. The coaches, the other gymnasts, the families are like family. Highly recommend this gym to other athletes!

All 4 of my children, plus myself, at some point have been or are currently enrolled at Edge Gymnastics-Kansas City. We have had at least five birthdays or parties there, plus attend 100+ open gyms, and we do privates on Sundays.

The new updates to the gym are amazing and you can truly see that the owners, Gerri & John love their gym and want to do what’s best for the athletes, while making as many parents as possible happy.

I am absolutely in love with the new preschool room. Not only is the AC on point, but the enclosed space allows the preschoolers to stay more focused on the tasks at hand.

Plus, I cannot wait to see all the new skills that the athletes will gain by having the awesome new in ground pit built by S&S Excavation, aka my amazing hubby Spencer.

Highly recommend!

Best place to take your kiddos for this type of sport! We checked all of them out and this place was the only one worth 5 stars in every department!! They met all our needs and then some ! We will be re-enrolling our girls here soon again before the holidays ! The staff are all great !!

We have been bringing our young kids here for years and we’re mostly happy with the place, but they recently β€œupgraded” the todler area which is now smaller (though they will tell you it is bigger) and stuffy and stinky. Also, they removed all seating for parents. The teacher are fine, but the new set up is not good at all. I would recommend finding a new gym for your kids under 5.

July 18 update: The room still stinks and here are the β€œsmaller classes”. There were 10 kids in this little 8x10 room. Never send your kids here.

So 3 of my kids have been attending edge for several years and absolutely love it. The coaches push them to be better every practice, and my son wants to be just like coach Josh.

It's pretty amazing to have a local gym here in Riverside MO that competes and wins on a National LEVEL!

That being said, this is a gym you bring your kids to if you want them to do gymnastics on a competitive level. If you're more into jumping on trampolines and playing around, there are other places specific to that.

The new renovations are amazing and well thought out. You can see the floor much better and the in ground pit is a great addition to allow further skills challenges.

The preschool area is so much better with being closed in. My 3yr old isn't distracted by all the other things going on in the gym now. Also the a/c is amazing since little ones are more sensitive to that. Great idea giving them their own closed off space!

A+++ to owners and staff that care about its gymnasts success!

I am not going to sign up for my kids any more. it was wasted my time and money. the teacher who teach my sons on today (05/09/23)is the bad teacher I ever see. he always being meant to my older son and always ignoring him. my son ask him the questions he never answer him. he tell my younger son jump on the tall monkey bar ( he not even can reach it) and he is not near by him to help at all
after the class finished they tell all the kids go outside play the bubbles. he let all the kids have a chance to play with the bubble gun except my older son(he stand right in front him and ask him for three times and he still didn't let him get a chance)
what is wrong with you??? huh...... I pay money for you to teach my kids and you are not doing your job to teach them (they are the kids and when they don't know how to do and you not even show them how to make it)
you should go some where to learn how to being a good couch before you get the job

We attended open gym with our toddler today and, quite frankly, are surprised that this gym could operate with athletes in the condition it is. It’s incredibly dirty - the floors, the walls, the air. A very pungent and musty smell greets guests upon entrance. Dust coats the walls and cobwebs are found everywhere. The mats are old, some are split and exposing foam. The floors are filthy. The gym is, simply put, unkept.

Two staff members are not nearly adequate to control the chaos of the max capacity crowd, especially when there are grown men-sized teenagers bouncing around one and two year olds. Parents are lackadaisical and inattentive, which honestly poses a danger to the littlest guests.

We won’t be back, and parents who care about sanitation and safety shouldn’t either.

We went for a private field trip for school. I would imagine when it is filled with alot of kids it could get congested. Overall the kids had a good time and that is what matters.

Fantastic program for my 2 year old. Reasonable prices that a wide demographic of families can reasonably afford. The staff are great to talk to and the coach's are amazing with my daughter. Can't wait to enroll my son when he is old enough.

Never calls you back, I paid for my daughter to go here and she never made it to one class due to me getting covid so I called to see what I could do and they said come to next class. Well my schedule changed I called about getting a refund said someone would call me back no one did. I’ve called a few times and no response. One time I called they said it showed my daughter as showing up to a class before and she never went. So not impressed. Sad I wasted money on this location.

My daughter has been in class here for about 8 weeks. She enjoys it especially because one of her classmates from school is in her class but the whole place is an unorganized mess. Her class has WAY too many kids in it for them to be able to properly learn anything. A few weeks ago a little girl in her class split her head open and the instructors didn't even know because there are way too many kids for them to keep an eye on them properly. This poor girl walked through the gym all the way to her dad with blood pouring down her face and no one noticed. When we started we had no idea where to go or where she needed to be to join her classmates. No one spoke to us. We don't even know her coaches names. We were there for 8 weeks before they even knew who I was to have me sign the registration paperwork and safety wavers. I really wanted to like this gym and my daughter really loves gymnastics but I think we may need to find somewhere else.

This rating is only for their open gym. I’ve not been to an actual class. The open gym is fine for the kids, but the facility is a bit older and feels unclean. There are also giant gaps between trampolines, which isn’t ideal for little ones. We much prefer going to Mercury’s Power Hour. Although it is more expensive, Mercury Gym seems cleaner and they actually have coaches to help out at open gym time.

Didn't care for the facilities pre school gymnastics program at all. The coach constantly put other children before my child. All the other children had a turn to go first though. The other parents were quite rude, and made sarcastic remarks in reference to my child's ability to pay attention to the coach as she was displaying the same behavior as a fellow student. And as we were leaving I noticed that one of the students in my child's class was attending the next class as well. These kids aren't in training for the olimpics, and I don't see too many other reasons why any other children would get the privilege of attending 2 consecutive classes. I am sure this a great program if you are amongst the " I think I am better than you" group. For the people that they are making a point to alienate, it's pretty hurtful. And all they are doing is teaching thier children is how to be jerks. Congratulations you are doing wonderful on teching children that it's ok to purposly hurt others and make people feel had about themselves. Your going to have yourselves the best little group of bullies.

Coaches are great. My 3 year old has progressed a lot in the last few months. He sometimes has a bit of a hard time focusing and listening and his coach is super patient especially when it seems like toddler overload. I also love how they have the toddler/prek area walled off so I don't have to chase him off the bigger equipment!
