This was when I was there from 2016-17. Heard its gone downhill a little. But my experience was a good price if you buy the whole year, and its always open so that's convenient. Plenty of equipment everyone there seemed cool. Staff was good. I did get ring worm 2x and the bathroom smelled but hey it's a gym. Also its alittle small for a gym and peak times can be annoying but that's any gym really.

I previously had a pretty sub-par review of this place, but I was being pretty sub-par in my take.

It's clean, trainers are knowledgeable, and aside from bumper plates for olympic lifting, this gym has everything you will need to achieve your fitness goals.

Started at this gym over a year ago. When I first signed up, I loved it! Everyone was so friendly, and I needed a place that had a childcare for my two kids. When the new owner took over, he asked me if I signed up for childcare when I joined the gym. I told him I did sign up for it, (I even had my kids with me the first day I went in) that’s the main reason I joined that gym was because I had to have a place with childcare. He told me that I wasn’t paying for childcare on my account. The next day I went in and he told me it would be another $25 additionally a month on top of what I was paying. As I was at the counter deciding if I wanted to pay another $25 per month, he said, “come on little mamma whatcha gonna do” I immediately told him to cancel my membership and I wouldn’t be back. I did NOT like the way he spoke to me after being a loyal customer to this gym. He acted as if I was lying to him.

The gym is run down, the kids bathroom smells awful, half of the bulbs in the tanning bed don’t work, equipment doesn’t work half the time, and almost every time I wanted a shake they didn’t have any ingredients in stock.

As soon as I left that day, I went straight to genesis health club to check out their prices. For my membership, and childcare I actually pay less than what I would’ve had to pay at Flex! They also have a lot more Amenities to offer, way friendly staff, more classes, and it’s extremely clean!

Clearly stacking the ratings with employees giving 5 star reviews within the last week. Awful new ownership. not a coincidence there are 2 1 star reviews within a week of eachother. We dont work there. Awful people skills by the new owner. Been a member there for 3 years, seen 4 owners. None of them good, but only one was able to make me cancel my membership. later much. id gladly pay $5 more a month to a gym that doesnt make people sit outside and wait for the doors to be opened for them by an "on duty" owner who realistically asked 3 paying customers to sit in the doorway for approx 13 mins before the door would have been opened for them.

I live downtown KC at 10th and Wyandotte, so I live nowhere near Flex 365 but, if I did, this is WITHOUT A DOUBT THE gym that I would make my home. Totally NEW ownership ~ new owner (Gary VanRoss) who is also the owner of KC Physiques...and if you aren’t familiar with them, looking them up is a MUST. Gary is an exceptional human, and is an EXPERT in the fitness world, so Flex 365 is BEYOND LUCKY to have him!! TRULY. Gary will make Flex 365 better than anyone can imagine. I cannot even begin to recommend this gym enough.

Great gym! It has everything you could need to get in a great workout. The staff as well as members are super friendly and welcoming. The gym is under new ownership and the new owner is super helpful and is working hard to make improvements to the gym in all areas. I would definitely recommend stopping in to check out the facility and trying out the shake bar!

I have been going to this gym since May 2015 and pay my dues for the year every May without issue. I just went into my gym an apparently they have a new owner. I say new owner because the guy wouldn't give me his name or when he bought the place, he told me "don't worry about it." Walking in I use my card to unlock the door and proceed to the locker room, at which time he asks me to swipe my membership ID, which I oblige. Upon swiping my ID nothing comes up on his computer screen which quickly prompts him to believe I am just walking into a locked location and stealing for years...because that makes the most sense. He begins to go into how the place has been failing and losing money because of people like me. I have paid faithfully for over 3 years and have brought in customers. The new owner doesn't try to resolve the apparent computer issue, nor take my information, look for my contract, or even be a reasonably well adjusted adult addressing another person. He just bluntly asks me do I want to leave? Obviously I am not going to continue and support a business which doesn't value my patronage. This is a warning to anyone still working out here or thinking about joining. Stay clear!

I think the gym is fine, however the people that own the gym are a bunch of scam artists. I got a message on Facebook back in April of 2018 asking me to join a 8 week program. I was interested at the time because I was making a lot of changes to my health. I went in for a consultation with the owner Zach Norman who told me this 8 week program would be totally customizable to me. He made it seem like it was free but of course when I got there he charged me $900!!! I even have in writing that it says “this isn’t your normal rice, chicken, and broccoli kind of diet program”. I was told I would get 3 personal session a week with zach himself, a full diet plan, home and travel workouts since I travel for work.. etc. I have all the details if anyone wants to see what a scam this is.

Long story short, zach didn’t show up to our first 3 personal sessions.. gave an excuse that he forgot and put me with a 20 year old guy that didn’t seem like a “personal trainer with experience” ... 3/4 weeks later I still never got my meal plans . I got a do and do not list of what to eat which I could’ve gotten from Pinterest... I mean it was ridiculous.

He ended up firing that employee when I complained and said I wanted my money back and I wasn’t getting what I promised.

He agreed to refund me my money and said it was in the “mail”... weeks later I texted him saying I never got my money back... he again said oh it’s in the “mail.”

Months later I texted him with concerns where my $900 was.. come to find out he blocked my number. Up to this point I had been extremely nice and understanding but I just simply wanted my money back. Then I emailed and called up to the gym and they were like oh.. your money is in your “account..” however I never had an actual account with flex. I was an add onto my boyfriend account and under his name so they NEVER had access to my bank account or anything.. and they continued to charge my boyfriend every month the same amount.

I told them I wanted a check and I’d either come get it or they could mail it and another person said... ITS IN THE MAIL.. now let me remind you this is almost 6 months later and still haven’t heard back from Zach or received any money back.

I went into the gym with my grandma to ask The employee to call Zach and he refused to talk to me. I even recorded the conversation with one of the employees to proof to show this guy was blantely trying to scam me and not actually give me my money back.

At Thai point, it is 8.5 months later and I have tried everything to be professional and to get my money back. Unfortunately it’s now to the point I have to spend my money to take the gym and Zach to small claims court.

I just can not believe how unbelievable this situation was and I am truly in awe. For someone who works in the professional world and meets 3-5 business owners a day... I can not imagine someone doing this to a client.. and employee.. anyone. It’s disgusting.

Zach Norman , I really hope you didn’t do this to anyone else. You’ve put me in a horrible position.

Staff and people were friendly. Equipment was modern ad several options per body part. 2 sets of dumbbells up to 50 lbs. Gym was fairly spacious and was clean and organized. Will definitely return when in town.

The experience at this gym is unlike any experience I've ever had.
I would and will recommend FLEX 365 to everyone.
when you go to a gym there is always that apprehension because it can be intimidating. That is not the case with this gym. Everyone that works their is so friendly and helpful. It's a very inviting atmosphere.

I stopped by for the first time this past week and was impressed! I haven't been to the gym in 10 years, the entire gym staff and members (regular people getting their FLEX on) made me feel welcome. They offer a TON of classes. I have never been excited to work out, in or out of a gym, but I can say I am looking forward to going back.
