I highly recommend this studio!

We have found the studio culture to be warm, friendly, and inviting. Ms. Nola, the owner, does a great job of always striving to do better and offer more.

My daughter is part of the performance company and takes a ballet/tap class. We love that she gets to perform 3 times throughout the year but without the stress of competitions. My favorite performance is definitely the Nutcracker...so incredible and professional!

I take the adult ballet class. I danced from childhood until my late 20s, took a 15 year hiatus and only recently started again. I'm not sure how she does it, but Ms. Nola manages to teach a class that caters to all levels at once. I always leave feeling like I've been challenged but not overwhelmed.

We signed our toddler son up for tap dance and on his second class there, he was kicked out. The class was run as if the children were professionals. He has autism and was new to dance. Yes, he has high energy. But the way he was kicked out was truly disgusting. The teacher announced his dismissal to the entire studio and proudly told him he would not be getting a sticker. We left embarrassed and crying. She suggested a different class, but the way she handled the situation told us everything we needed to know about the place. The teacher clearly didn't want to be teaching. She only wanted her "perfect little students". The website says they are inclusive, but this studio is far from it. Please put that teacher through training. My son deserves an apology.

My girls have been dancing at FMDA for a year and a half now and we have loved our experience. A few things to know about FMDA and how it has gone for our family.
1. Nola is an incredibly well trained dancer with her BFA and professional experience, and that shows in her teaching.
2. Everyone has been very welcoming! I have never encountered any “dance moms” and our girls have made wonderful friends; no cliquey behavior.
3. My older daughters “started late” (meaning they haven’t been dancing since they could stand…my oldest is almost 11 and started at age 9) and this studio is a great place if you are in that situation. Miss Nola will find a spot for every student where they feel both comfortable, yet challenged.
4. Opportunities to perform, even if you aren’t on the competition team. FMDA has a competition company, but they also have “Performance Company” (which is what my girls are a part of). So far this year, they have performed in The Nutcracker, a recital in December, another recital in February, and a fundraiser event at a local high school. Before the season ends, they will also dance at an Ambush soccer game, an optional competition, and finally the Spring Showcase recital. If you have a dancer who loves to perform, but doesn’t want to do the competition route, I can’t recommend this enough! There is an expectation of hard work, but zero pressure and the kids all have so much fun together.
Bottom line: FMDA is a great place with lot of opportunities to learn and grow as a dancer, no matter what your age (oh yeah, they have adult classes, too). If you have a kiddo who is ready to try dance, or you want to find a studio with a welcoming and healthy environment, then I highly recommend giving FMDA a call!

My daughter has been dancing at FMDA for two years, and has learned a lot in a short amount of time. Miss Nola and her dance teachers are incredibly talented and truly love what they are doing. Above all the dedication, care, and heart they have for their students is what makes FMDA so special. We are so proud to be part of Fluid Motion and couldn't be more grateful for Nola and her team.

Fluid motion dance academy is amazing because the teachers are very nice, and they will bring you up, not tear you down.

So if you’re looking to get your child into dance but are intimidated at the established places cause you’re not a “dance mom” …. This is the perfect place. I felt so comfortable with the fact that they allow your kid to be a kid. Example- that they were perfectly fine if your kid wanted to wear a tshirt that day instead of a leotard. They still receive excellent instruction but the pressure is off both the kids and the moms to be perfect.

My sisters, and nieces love this dance studio. Very spacious and welcoming environment. The location is clean and very large, your young ones will have a wonderful time here. The staff and owner are very knowledgeable and friendly. The actual location is on the back side of the blindings facing away from the road. Plenty of parking and and other things to do in the area.

Finding Fluid Motion Dance has been the best thing ever for my daughter! She loves dance, and has been able to really excel in a short amount of time with Nola. Nola is super energetic, passionate, knowledgable, and supportive. She accommodates the girls schedules and helps them to be the best they can be.

Nola always has options for you and lets you know. Her prices are great and she always is willing to find the best fit for your dancer. We love being a part of Fluid Motion Dance!
