I would give 5 stars but the steam room is beyound disgusting, there is caulk hanging from the door frame and stains everywhere.
The pool has SCUM on the walls, it looks like they NEVER clean it.
Take pride in your business, clean the place.

Great open gym with a friendly atmosphere. Plenty of aerobics & weight machines & two full racks of dumbbells. Also have a full basketball court. The pool is smaller than usual. The coed sauna, steam room & jacuzzi are a nice touch.

This is a good gym. I wish the pool were 25 meters instead of only 20.

Only been here once, but so far so good. I just joined with a corporate membership through work. Swimming laps is my form of exercise with a bit of weight training. I haven't started weights here yet--a bit overwhelmed with where to begin because there are so many machines. My last gym had maybe 25-30 machines for circuit training. The pool was at a good temperature. Not sure if it's 25 meters or yards. The pool at my last gym was meters, but I think this one is yards. Asked someone who didn't really have a clue. Seems like nobody ever knows. It would be nice if it were labeled somewhere. I use a fitbit for laps, so I want it to be accurate. Felt like I was at a spa with the hot tub, sauna, and wet steam room--very nice (6 months later: Usually the wet steam room looks kind of dirty so I don't go in there anymore. I think it's mostly because people step on lower ledge to sit on top ledge and their dirty shoes leave nastiness. Not sure what the gym can do to stop this, but it's gross enough to keep me from going in there anymore). Suggestions: Would love a big clock or timer that I could see through my goggles (clock at deep end is too small). Also, miss having a swimsuit wringer in the locker room. Also, people should offer to share their lane when someone is waiting. Most do, but many don't.

Hours are horrible. It doesn't open until 7am on Sat and Sun and should be open by 6am. It is too bad it is not 24 Hr Fitness anymore. A lot of people want to get in early and get their workout done. By the way, I have emailed the manager twice and never received a reply.

Great keep charging ppl same amount but cut down on hours of operation and the restrooms especially showers definitely need improvement well for many many yrs now. Golds gym taking over only made things worse

A gym that is all about the money. They don't like corporate discount programs and told me I'd have to go through my work to get the discount. The guy didn't even want to work with me. He instead tried giving me a much higher price that isn't competitive at all with other gyms. I work out at 3 different gyms currently and don't plan on going back to Gold's.

This is a very nice gym, but like all the gyms in Arnold it is constantly packed. That being said, it had great amenities and is worth the increased price tag vs Club Fitness. The only downside is that they only have one large ceiling fan in the gym and it gets extremely warm.

This place is big. And nice. And clean. However, it's still a gym. And I cannot imagine why anyone in their right mind would pay $50+ a month to go to a gym.. thats not including the sign on fee. And thats with a contract. Oh and they have the right to increase your monthly dues. Oh and the sauna steam room things are absolutely disgusting. Sitting in there watching a man swipe the sweat off of his body and hear it splash on the wood seating... Praying it didn't splash on me. Praying my gag relexes don't start. How do you sanitize a porous surface like wood? Wet..and hot... And porous.. blah. I suppose if you have extra money laying around, or just have to have 75 treadmills to feel good .. then this is the place for you.

Visited this gym on a guest pass. They sat me at a desk and tried discussing outrageous payment plans over double what most members pay that I talked to on my visit. The guy refused to accept my corporate discount and said I would have to go through my work to get the discount. He didn't even want to help me. They don't want me as a customer so I will never go back.

I switched from Club Fitness to Gold's Gym because of how crowded it was. I'm paying more for it but it's worth it to me to not have to fight the crowd. The classes that are included in the membership are amazing. I took a spinning class and the instructor (MJ) got off her bike, went in front of me and told me to go faster. I loved the extra push!

Expensive, contract and membership driven. Better gyms for less money and no contracts are recommended and close by.

This location is improving, it used to be a 24hr Fitness. A lot of the equipment is dated (although it is being replaced), and the gym is very dark. So far, it seems as though the priority has been on branding rather than replacing the equipment, so you will notice fresh wall paint right away. 3 stars because this gym still needs new equipment and the bathrooms are nasty.

This isn't the best gym I've been to. Since being acquired by Gold's Gym though they are making great progress in making it one of the best. It's a much cleaner atmosphere since the acquisition and to me that makes a huge difference.

Called for membership info and pricing. They wouldn't tell me anything over the phone. Because of the hours I work it is not convenient for me to get there during normal business hours. Also if it is out of my price range why should I waste my time and the associates time. I feel like they want you to go in so they can pressure you into signing up on the stop. Needless to say I am no longer interested in this gym and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Golds gym bought this 24 hour fitness location, in the mean time while still paying full price machines were missing, the staff couldn't handle our membership concerns and after I cancelled our membership after having to call Golds corporate we were charged more than our agreed membership price when Golds had no authorization to do so.
Update: After a month of cancelling our membership Golds gym still attempted to charge us for our non existent membership. Luckily I had cancelled our card linked to that account based on Gold's horrible reputation and previous experience.
