I’m in STL for work until the end of the year and have been here a full month now. Here’s why I love the St Louis - Midtown Hotworx location (and I’ve been to many): 1)It’s clean! 2) Friendly, knowledgeable staff members - s/o to Emilee. 3)The saunas are hot when you arrive for your class (during staffed hours). 4)They keep the cubby’s stocked with hand towels and lavender/Eucalyptus sauna spray (I ❤️the sprays). 5)The table of equipment at the front for guests to try before purchasing. 6)The other members seem to be considerate and conscientious. 7)Convenient and Free parking!

Love Hotworx and this convenient location with free street parking and a lot behind, too. Just five min. from our home in the Grove and conveniently across the street from Fresh Thyme where I get my groceries after a great workout! The new ownership is great. I'm convinced there's no better workout than Hotworx to get your sweat on! Love getting in and out in under an hour and that they're open 24/7. I can go when it's easiest for me, can't beat it!

I’m so glad midtown got new owners I live in soulard & I’ve been forced to drive to Maplewood or Creve Couer to work out because the old owners had the location so bad. I just worked out here for the first time since the switch & I am happy to say I’m done driving far! I can work out close to home now. To start off, I was decently excited to have stumbled upon this place. I walked in to get signed up, there was a lady at the front who claimed she would sign me up for a student discount. I didn't have my Student ID on me and she reassured me that it was fine and that we could proceed, so I took her word for it. She would smile at me and say "the membership is going to be 59 a month," and I just nodded my head thinking I got the discount. Turns out, I did not and you have to spend upwards of $120 to complete the waver fees, and get a mat and towel. I should have checked the monthly membership beforehand, but I did not think she would outwardly lie to me. On top of that I'm a decently tall person (5'9) and the saunas are honestly meant for shorter folks. It's nice when you are in there by yourself, but add just one more person and it's cramped. I've been taking their talk of detoxification at face value as just by reading other reviews and simple google searches will show that it's a talking point (a clever one) to reel people in. All I'm saying is do your research to ensure this is the option that is best for you!!

First time trying Hotworx today - perfect day for it since it was freezing cold - and I loved the facility, classes and staff so much that I became a member. I joined Hotworx just a few days after the new owners took over last month, and they have already made SO many improvements! All the machines and saunas work great, the space is clean and well lit, and you can see that they really care about making Hotworx a great experience. I know they have much more in store and it will keep getting better, so I’m excited to continue being a member for a long time to come!

Studio is under completely new management. Have been attending this location for two years, stuck it out through the previous owners because of how effective the HotWorx sessions are. The new owners are attentive in every way. Machines are all back in the best working order I've ever enjoyed. Staff is on hand and helpful to the fullest degree. Would encourage anyone to visit and see for themselves.

Everybody talking about cancelling memberships & stuff I mean gosh it's not that difficult just cancel your membership yourself online....they will charge you like $1 a month if you plan on not using it cause they know how beneficial it is...and most people start their membership right back up!!!!!

DO NOT purchase a membership here. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for months. The owner said he would cancel my membership. Never did I keep continuing to get charged. They blocked me when I try to message them. Do not buy a membership here I keep having to dispute the charges with my bank due to this. The owner called me initially when this happened and then never actually canceled my membership. I’ve been continued to be charged for months.

Please beware! This franchise owner is a crook! I have been trying to cancel my membership for over a year now and no one returns my email or phone calls. I’ve spoken with several people at the location that have told me that Manager or an owner are going to call me back in regards to canceling my membership and no one has done so. I have tried to dispute this with my bank and, put blocks on the account, but HOTWORX just changes the name of which they are withdrawing from my bank via routing number and account number continuing to take the money. Franchise owner is a crook. How can you do this hard-working people. I have a new membership through a franchise out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The “sweat everywhere membership” I speak with that owner all of the time. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do to stop this crook from taking my cash. Stay far far away! DO NOT SIGN UP AT THIS LOCATION!

Update: there was a guy named Jared working in the HOTWORX facility on Forest Park. He claimed to be a franchise owner and would help
Me with this issue. He messaged me for about two months never giving me any concrete detail of what was happening with my case. His excuse for not having concrete reason was he has been on vacation. Well, since I believe Jared has blocked me.

I travel so I use the sweat everywhere and this location is the worst I've been in... I love hotworx for many reasons! Great workout with fantastic results, private and usually kept pretty clean.
This location is dirty, the saunas are never hot. I saw the owner come in one time and he didn't do anything but go in and sit down. He didn't even make sure the saunas were hot..... the TV in one sauna has been off for days, all of the hot thunder machines haven't worked in who knows how long, one of the hot cycle machines are also broken and have been broken and there are no foam rollers out for people to use.... it really feels like this man chose a job where he could do the least amount of work, and that is to own a hotworx.... it's pretty unfortunate he can't do that bare minimum to keep the place looking nice and working properly 🤷‍♀️

Similar to a lot of other reviews, I cancelled my membership, sent the email as I was instructed to do and opted for the with the 60 days notice option. After 60 days, they did not cancel my membership and continued to take money out of my account. After 6 phone calls, they still have not refunded my money. I am going to try to put a stop payment through my bank to prevent future payments from being withdrawn but I would not recommend doing business with HOTWORX.

This is nothing but fraud! Stay away from them. I was a hotworx member for 2 years and I moved to St Louis and changed to sweat everywhere. The afterhour codes never worked. I asked for a cancellation and they said they would refund too. Not only they didn't, they charged my card three months in a row! They would refuse to give my money back. Plus no one answered my calls, I could leave a message once and then I realized that they have blocked my number. I called them from my phone, no answer, then from a different number and they picked up the phone! So rude, unprofessional management, filthy studio and terrible parking and location. Scammers!

I'm giving a rating of 1 because there's no option to rate this business as 0, which it truly deserves. It's a complete FRAUD. Please, for your own sake, steer clear. The management in St. Louis will gladly take your money and then completely abandon you. They are consistently absent, never answering the phone or returning calls, and there's no email provided to contact a manager or anyone of authority.

I had a lengthy membership in Texas and decided to switch to the Sweat-Everywhere plan for my new job in St. Louis, Missouri. However, I couldn't even step into the studio to begin my workouts because the door code was dysfunctional. After numerous attempts and frustrating visits to the studio, where I was met with a closed door, I finally managed to catch the manager one morning while they were there for a repair. We mutually agreed to terminate my contract and issue a refund. I left, thinking the matter was resolved. Yet, three months later, they're still charging me.

Hotworx lacks a central corporate entity to address client-related issues. Despite presenting themselves as a cohesive company, these studios are merely franchises. If you encounter a problem, you're essentially left to fend for yourself. It's a shameless display of incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction.

I frequent the HOTWORX facilities in the STL AREA. This one In midtown certainly appears to have a decreased level of care in comparison. It’s very very dirty. Lots of things out of place, falling apart, lacking attention. Certainly not the same experience as the others. I planned to begin coming to this one more but for cleanliness alone I won’t be able to do that. And I don’t like that you can’t mute the video in sauna 2, not sure about the others. Most of the facilities you can turn the volume all the way day and listen to your preferred audio instead.

After having a HOTWORX membership for over a year, I cancelled it via email (per the store managers instruction) on February 20, 2023. The manager told me the cancellation goes into effect within 60 days of sending the email. He acknowledged my email when I sent it and said I was all set. I was still (unexpectedly) charged in May, June, July, and August of 2023. I’ve been reaching out to the general manager at HOTWORX every week (typically 2-3 times a week) to get this taken care of. They were able to stop the charges and end my membership, but they still haven’t refunded me for the months they incorrectly charged me (may-august). This business owes me hundreds of dollars. I eventually gave up and realized the money wasn’t worth the time I was spending following up with their incompetence. Do not go here; you will regret it. They are thieves

Buyer Beware! I canceled my membership, it was a 60 day notice. After my 60 days, they took another month automatically. After many attempts and broken promises from Hotworx to refund the month back, I've finally given up. If they need the $65 that badly, I guess that's ok.

My advice, go somewhere else...anywhere else. The sign up is misleading. They REQUIRE you to buy their mat and towel. It's nothing special. The workouts are fine the first few times, but they don't change. There's no variety. It's next to impossible to communicate with anyone there. When you try to cancel and they keep charging you, they lie and make false promises and you never see your refund.

Bottom line, there are many other gyms and places to workout. This place is disreputable. Save your time, your money, and your headaches.

I absolutely love the Hotworx company, and when I moved to St. Louis, I moved my membership to the Forest Park location. This Hotworx failed to maintain its cardio equipment and had poor communication/customer service when inquiring about these updates and canceling my membership. However, Maddie (I’m not sure how to spell) was incredibly helpful and easy to work with and why I’m giving three stars instead of 1.

Amazing workout but they cannot seem to keep good staff. The staff they have had lately are rude and don't seem to do anything. Sitting there on their phones while bathrooms need cleaning and tp refills, there's trash on the floors in the studio. It's dirty but they have the staff to take care of it, they just don't. Also, equipment tends to be broken half the time. It's a shame because it really is an amazing workout.

I have tried to get my account canceled with hotworx since April 2022. Frank the current manager has assured verbally me month after month that my account has been canceled and has even sent me an email confirmation stating my account has been canceled. Hotworx has now pulled $213.95 from my bank account and my account is still active. Im beyond furious with their customer service and lack of attention to detail. I have explained to them that I lived internationally now and cannot keep calling every month to rectify this situation. Im unable to get in touch with corporate or the owner of the stl midtown location. Hotworx has access to my personal bank account number that I NEVER provided them. They have now committed fraud pulling money out of my account after confirming my cancelation and refusing to provide any proof, which I have asked for. DO NOT sign up at this location.

I love the gym and this review is because the manager or whoever’s in charge of cancellation enrollment is not successful or helpful at all I have been a member for about a year and I tried canceling it I went through the steps which was email still wait two months to get charged even though I have not use the gym and I am still getting charge and now I’m getting overdraft fees because I am still getting charged and not using the facility if you all fix this issue I will change the star rating!!

Took months to cancel my membership. Wasn’t upset that I had to pay $107 for an immediate cancellation, but I wasn’t given confirmation that my membership was canceled and I was still charged the next day for the monthly fee. My boyfriend had a similar issue, he tried canceling his membership way before me and it still hasn’t processed, they keep saying they will talk to the manager about it but in the meantime he is still being charged $64.22 each month.

I lovvvvvvvve this gym!!!!! First of all, the staff is awesome! You can tell they really care about their job and all of the members. So it’s a real plus when you can go put in some work at the gym AND get genuine support! Secondly, the workouts are amazing. They are very challenging for those who are ready for that. But there’s no pressure to do more than you can. Either way you WILL break a sweat because of the awesome infrared heat that warms up your muscles and DETOXES! This is really a perfect gym! I will be a member forever. Highly recommend!!!

Love this place! I like that there are many different workouts you can choose from so they don’t get boring. That being said, most of them are pretty high level so if you have any physical disabilities, I’m not sure it would go very well. I would definitely say the isometrics and barre are the easiest to start with. Weirdly, the sweating feels really great and it really helps you feel like you had a great workout! (On top of the worked muscles, of course) There is a shower in one of the bathrooms, just FYI
