I was just passing through KC wanted to find a yoga studio to practice at and Zona Yoga was near my hotel ... so I bought a travel package. The teachers were knowledgeable, challenging, friendly and fun. Kelly (the owner) taught my last 2 classes and I can't say enough about how much I was impressed. She is the most knowledgable teacher I have ever had, not just about yoga, but the anatomy of the body and how yoga impacts it. Learned so many techniques and things to add to my practice as I continue to travel ! Kelly didn't just teach you poses, but helped you develop the correct muscles and techniques to get into them safely. Love Love Love how 10% of all profits goes back into the community! The spirit in this place is truly special and if you get the chance to practice here you should jump at the chance... If your looking for yoga home definitely try this studio ;)

This is a pleasant, comfortable studio in a perfect location. The owners and teachers are caring and well trained. No "fly by night "yoga teachers, they are all certified and are frequently attending teacher training courses throughout the year. The thing that sets this studio apart from the many out there is the experiences of the teachers and the desire to help all comers, especially those with physical disabilities and chronic pain. The
Great Yoga Rope Wall is one of 2 in Kansas city. With the rope walI, I am discovering things about the way I hold positions and use my body, that I never realized. In addition, when my chronic condition is acting up and I need help stretching or just relief from pain, restorative positions on the wall ( as well as in restorative yoga class) enable me to continue to move my body and increase flexibility instead of just giving up and doing nothing. Flexibility and movement are the key to staying vital!

This is my home studio. Has been for two years. There has never been a moment that I've felt unwelcome, or out of place. It is truly a community studio. Kelly, and all of the staff are kind, caring, and compassionate teachers, and people.

Zona Yoga was my home studio for the 2 years I spent in KC (we recently moved due to husband's work). I could not have asked for a better yoga experience! Kelly, the studio owner, is not only incredibly well trained, she's a master teacher! She can teach all flavors and varieties - ranging from therapeutic (she has tons of personal and educational experience here) to restorative, to hot/more intense yoga. She lives what she teaches - which is true for all of the teachers there. They have a passion for yoga, are well trained, and love helping students reach their goals for improved health and ability. Try it out! My favorite classes (if I had to choose) were restorative (seriously amazing) and heated stretch. But there really are no bad teachers and no bad classes here.

Whether you are a beginner or at an advanced level, Zona Yoga has something for you. I love that not only am I learning new poses but I'm learning about the history of yoga, anatomy of my body, and about physics. My practice has grown leaps and bounds and because of that it has helped me through some of life's greatest challenges.
