Outstanding Service at the YMCA! – Thank You, Makayla!

I had the pleasure of visiting the YMCA in Lebanon, MO, on 3/11/2024, and I must say, my experience was absolutely fantastic—all thanks to Makayla at the reception desk! From the moment I walked in, she was incredibly attentive, professional, and helpful. She answered all my questions with patience and a smile, making me feel truly welcomed even though I had never been to a YMCA before.

Makayla’s kindness and enthusiasm left such a lasting impression on me that I’ve decided to become a member at my local YMCA. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in their work and goes above and beyond to create a positive experience for visitors.

Micaela at the front desk was awesome! She was super friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in. She answered all my questions and made everything easy. You can tell she really cares about the people here. She’s a total superstar and makes the YMCA a great place to visit!

Management gone and passing the buck to others while not communicating because they either don't show, leave early, don't communicate and play favorites.
Fees charged after canceled to make extra money because they can't even uphold their end of things.
Pool down due to poor maintenance often.
All in all, horrible communication.
I feel bad for the front desk getting the brunt of it all.

My daughter (9) is taking swimming lessons there. I was told I could not be in the pool area during it. When we signed up, they specifically said ONE parent would be allowed in there with them. They then said, well the rules changed. The lifeguard was very rude. Said well other parents have no problem doing it. I looked at her and said, well I'm not other parents and i will not be leaving my underage daughter in here without myself or a grandparent present. She then starred at me while my child was in swimming lessons. What am I to do? Ignore it? Probably. But instead we had a full on staring contest. So much for watching the children actively swimming in the pool. Just so many little things. Very unprofessional. Not happy at all with my first experience at this Y.

Was ok kinda mediocre gym then they wont let you cancel online. They make it hard to cancel that way you end up getting charged for extra months. Then they say they can send you a cancellation form its a format where you cant even fill in the form they expect you to print and fill it out. They have a very poor system there to make it hard and very inconvenient to cancel for that next winter i will pick a diffrent gym.

Super expensive for no reason. They like to play God and pick favorites. Apparently some people are allowed to swim in the pool with accessories and others are not. There is stool stains at the bottom of the pool, band-aids everywhere. Unhygienic. Not a friendly atmosphere. And don't even get me started on the locker room situation. Place is a joke don't waste your money or time. I wouldn't take me kids there if I was you just saying.

I love the workout on Mon, Wed, and Fri, at 10:00 am. The instructor is very concerned about how everyone is participating and performing the exercises correctly. And the classes are very full. The friendliness of everyone there, including the instructor, is something I look forward to.

I have been going there for several months and the people are great! There are activities for all ages and all exercise levels. I take an aqua class for people with arthritis. Everyone is very welcoming to new folks and excited to see old timers. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

The bottom of the pool was nasty it was green.The Basketball rim was rigged the Basketball kept in and out. And when I could not drink water fountain I to use a tiny cup for water.

I love this YMCA. The pool is amazing. Workout equipment is top of the line. They have basketball teams. Classes in the day and evening times.
Staff is so friendly and helpful and they even have a personal trainer help you for free for 2 visits to show you how to use the machines to get maximum benefit. Love this place !

The ymca hosted a volleyball tournament and knows nothing about hosting tournaments. Over enrolled the tournament. No place for teams and parents to set and enjoy the games. Staff very unfriendly. Place should have only had half the teams. Terrible job, ymca of lebanon!!!!
