There are several great choices for yoga in Columbia, and Lotus is one of the best. The environment is welcoming, and they genuinely mean it when they say all levels are welcome. Brandy's instruction is phenomenal, as is that of some of the other instructors. I wish all at Lotus success and happiness, and encourage others to experience yoga at this very special Yoga studio.

It's my favorite place in town to practice. The vibe and the teachers are all amazing. Shout out to Josh as one of the best teachers in town, too! If you haven't taken his class run, don't walk, and feel the love he has to share for yoga and self-love. I always leave class feeling so grounded and ready to take on whatever life is going to throw at me.

Lotus is a great yoga studio. They are very welcoming to all people of every ability. Yin is my favorite yoga class right now. I love how Kimber leaves us in a pose for several minutes. This really gives my the opportunity to stretch and connect to my body.

I attended my first ever hot yoga or yoga class here. It. Was. Amazing. Brandy was so kind and a great teacher. I THOUGHT I was going to finish without needing to lay down but…I couldn’t. Brandy cracked the door so I could get cool air. Brought me the most amazing lavender soaked ice cold towel that felt soo amazing. I will definitely be back for more. Also-very clean and inviting. She has helped my friend lose 100lbs doing hot yoga once a week. Front desk staff was also informative and kind.

Excellent studio and instructors. Classes have a variety of beginners to advanced and all ages. No pressure - you can work at your own pace and take breaks. Great workout for flexibility, strength, and even cardio.

Absolutely love the 60 min flow class. Exhaust the body so you can clear the mind. I always sleep like a baby the night after a class and wake up rejuvenated!

Absolutely loved the sequences, and I could hear our guide over the music. Would be here more if my schedule worked out better!

I commend Brandy for her opening a smaller, intimate, boutique-like hot yoga studio that does not play abrasive, loud music. The instructor is to be a loving guide, and that is what Lotus offers with attentive, conscientious respect for all who attend classes, no matter the experience, age, or body type. At Lotus you can choose from a diversity of classes: a rigorous routine of the 60 minute Lotus Flow with full heat, a slow flow class, a super challenging 26 and 2 class where 26 postures are repeated two times in full heat, a relaxing and restorative Yin class, a warm yoga class for a less sweaty experience, or a lunch time 45 minute Lotus express class. All of these contribute to a really nice balance of daily and weekly discipline that can serve to be your main exercise go-to, or add to what you already do.
If you have never done yoga before or if you are super experienced with a diversity of Yoga styles or somewhere in between, you are welcomed instantly at Lotus Hot Yoga. It’s truly the best option in Columbia, Missouri.

Best place for Hot Yoga. I especially love the 5:30 class with Brandy. I always leave feeling relaxed yet energized. Studio is very clean and I like the smaller class sizes. They have showers in case you need to grab yoga on the go.

Be cautious of supporting this business. Lotus's City Business license was filed after opening 5/21/21, claiming a false business opening date of 6/20/21. Brandy claimed 12 employees and $100K in gross receipts but Lotus's filings claim 1 employee, Brandy. The class I went to had nobody. It is weird there are no pictures of actual clients. The photos on the webpage was staged by the Lift Division. Josh Turner's business license request was denied. He was arrested for a DUI Feb 2019 and convicted of careless driving, serving jail time.
Como staff and writers conduct background checks through our wonderful free City and county resources.

Lotus is now my favorite hot yoga place! I have been to a few different places and this is by far the best. The owner/instructor was very welcoming and personable. It’s very clean and has a cozy feel here. I felt way more comfortable and it’s just a better vibe! I love her unique flow, she definitely cares about her customers. I also liked that the heat is controlled better here and doesn’t blow directly on you. Can’t wait to come to another class!

Brandy has created a wonderful environment with Lotus and I have enjoyed attending Hot Yoga and a few other classes. My first experience with hot yoga, years ago, didn't encourage me to come back. I have been multiple times now!

I’d been an avid yogi for years….until I moved to Columbia. I couldn’t find a studio that was welcoming, comfortable or inclusive. Brandy has created some magic with this place. The minute I walked in I felt at home. The instructors are kind and excellent. I’ve heard on more than several occasions others exclaiming this is also their favorite studio in Columbia. I’ve been coming to classes regularly for the past 6 months and feel so much better inside and out.

I went to my first ever Yoga class at Lotus this morning and it was a wonderful experience! As it was my first-time trying Yoga, I was nervous about being new and inexperienced. Thankfully the atmosphere at Lotus was super clean, friendly, and welcoming. The staff was very attentive and made sure to subtly help me through the process making sure I felt both confident and competent. The welcome feeling didn’t end their either. The other patrons were all enthusiastic about the class, and one more experienced class member noted that this was my first time and set his mat so that I could see his easier modifications during the class. The class was challenging, but I felt very in control of my body and able to choose my own pace. Over all it was an energizing, fun, and welcoming experience that I would recommend to everyone.

Couldn't be happier with my experiences at Lotus Hot Yoga. I had never done hot yoga before my first class at Lotus and was a little intimidated going in. I was met with a warm welcome and quickly realized what a safe & supportive place it is to practice. I keep going back and I've been impressed by how inclusive and intentional it is. Highly recommend checking them out!

Great Hot Yoga Studio! I’ve been to a few different yoga places and there’s something special about Lotus. I’ve fallen out of practice for almost 2 years and started back up at Lotus and the vibe is very welcoming and supportive. I know I will be a regular! 🔥

My experience was lonely and self conscious with just a few people in the class. It was obvious friends or family were there as a prop. The studio was brand new and shiny.
The studio is located in a strip office area with empty office spaces on either side. It didn't radiate a positive energy or mind based consciousness as advertised and looked like a thousand other strip mall overnight yoga studio. It's can take a long time exiting the location. Lots of traffic, street lights. 5pm traffic is a nightmare. The pet store is cool.
After learning more about the owners Brandy Bremer and Josh Turner, Lotus isn't for me. There is a disconnect from what she advertises and how she is in real life. The yoga pics of gorgeous yoga models having fun on her website are not real patrons. She only posted pictures of herself in color coordinated clothes as the models.
This town is saturated with yoga studios with most classes never filled to capacity. You can get the same instructors at other studios and feel more comfortable at a cheaper price. Brandy's goal is to have "inclusive" customers and I didn't make the cut. I felt judged because I didn't have color coordinated and expensive yoga clothes. Maybe that's why I was asked to buy a Lotus tee 👕. I felt physically good but spiritually empty after leaving Lotus. I mean she was nice. Showers and plants are nice. I tried a second time but left because no one walked in. At least at my favorite yoga studio, I can go next door and eat hot wings, have a beer and shop at Big Lots.
Was notified all these 5 star reviews are from her ex's Josh , friends and family. They all posted at the same time with glorious and bogus reviews after one negative review confirmed true. After yogi locals swapped social media posts and stories of Brandy and Josh, I had seen enough drunk debauchery for a lifetime plus stuff that is not cool. There's obviously a bad rivalry in town beneath Lotus's shiny new floors.
Don't post a public review if you don't want people to know your email address, cell phone number and a ton of information about you.
I don't recommend buying a Lotus annual pass. Spend your money on Gympass, as Lotus probably won't be open in a year.
I do recommend this place if you don't like the hippie yoga studio feeling and want an inclusive place you'll feel comfortable talking with exclusive people who won't judge you as mingling with people you shouldn't. Lotus would be great for sororities or private sessions for the real housewives of Columbia.

Brae's rude attitude towards a local yoga studio who supported her for years is unprofessional. Mocking my friend as too fat to be a yoga teacher and manager matches her fake eyebrows. She scoured for a drunk sugar daddy to pay for a yoga studio, next thing you know she calls off her wedding to the sales paint dope who did it. Gettin a tattoo of your business logo on back of your neck isn't a business plan darling.
