Coach Bryan is the best Muay Thai coach you could ask for! He doesn’t just teach Muay Thai, he lives it and pours his heart into every student. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, he has a way of making you feel seen, supported, and pushed to be your absolute best.
The atmosphere he’s created at Low Kick Camp is one of family, discipline, and respect! It’s impossible not to leave every session feeling stronger, both mentally and physically.
Training here has been life changing, and I can’t recommend Coach Bryan and Low Kick Camp enough. If you’re looking for world class Muay Thai with a coach who truly goes above and beyond, this is the place.

The best gym in the city as far as I’m concerned. I have been coming to LKC since about 2013 and seeing the gym take new shapes over the years has been amazing to watch. Bryan is one of the BEST coaches to have on your side. Not just for training purposes but for everything that life throws your way. LKC truly feels like a “home”… Whether you’re trying to learn something new, teach your kids some discipline/protection or truly train to compete. This is your spot.

My son who is on the spectrum goes here and it has been wonderful for him and his cognitive development! Master Bryan has really supported and challenged my son to new levels of confidence and his self esteem has boosted greatly! Becoming a young man in our world takes other men ushering the young men into it! My son looks forward to these classes and sometimes we get private lessons in the summers just to fine tune the skills he’s learning! All of the individuals we have met here have been wonderful and have helped my son develop into a better human!

I absolutely love this gym. The atmosphere, the coaches everything. The environment is so welcoming, which was a very important piece for me, stepping into a movement practice that I didn’t know. The structure of the gym is thought out to help you grow. Starting with understanding the basics, then moving onto intermediate, and then leveling up from there. I am currently an intermediate student, but am always able to check in with the coaches for help. Every coach that I have encountered at this gym is not only friendly but knowledgeable and the owner Bryan Is welcoming and wise in the wisdom he has in Muay Thai. As a woman, stepping into a predominantly male sport, having this open welcoming atmosphere is key. In this, I’m not just a woman working out I’m a member of the team and part of the Low Kick Family. Training at this gym has offered me so much movement therapy that I didn’t expect. And the principles from this sport have carried into my day-to-day life. If anyone is interested in Muay Thai, I encourage you to come check out this space.

Yeah , I don’t know what happen here with the lesson I scheduled but I had shown up at the scheduled time & when I arrived I had caught 3 individuals leaving & they had asked if I had a lesson for today 04/06/24 & I said yes , I had inquired about lessons & the person told me to come today at this time & they then asked who I was coming for & referenced another coach .. I said I had no idea who I was gonna be training with & referenced my texts on how when I scheduled the appointment I had asked who I needed to ask for upon arrival & I was told that someone would just be there to train me .. well that plan worked out real great , I spent 200$ waited a week then now don’t even get to train .. rather disappointed. Don’t think I’ll be returning after this first impression.

Low Kick Camp is a great center for Muay Thai and fitness. I came to town for a wedding and needed a place to train. The gym environment was awesome and very inviting for all demographics and skill levels. Even though I was experienced I took their fundamentals class. The coaches are very knowledgeable and teach students fundamentally sound techniques. If you want to learn Muay Thai Low Kick Camp is the place for you. If you’re experienced and wanted to get better at Muay Thai Low Kick Camp is for you. Either way Low Kick Camp is for you. Every time I come to town I’ll definitely train there.

I took a training class from Coach Bryan last year for my armed guard card requirements and fell in love with the gym and learned more self-defense techniques in two classes than I’ve ever learned from anyone. Around the same time I completed my class, my oldest son was trying to teach himself the basics of Muay Thai. When he turned 18 last year I reached out to sign him up for formal training at Low Kick and finally had the opportunity to take him to his first class. As I suspected, he fell in love with the gym, the other students and the coaches. When he got back into the car after class (dripping sweat and stinky) he was grinning ear to ear and he screamed: I LOVE IT. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.”
I am so excited to see him get started on his training journey (and hopefully competition, someday) and am grateful to everyone at the gym. Thank you, to all the coaches and to Coach Bryan, for the warm welcome and the honest feedback he received about what he’s taught himself so far. I was worried being watched and receiving feedback would change how he felt about the sport and it has been the complete opposite: he’s even more committed to learning/training and being an excellent addition to the team.

Bryan is the man with the plan. I've been doing martial arts for 13 years now and I tell you what he's one of the best fight coaches I've ever had. He's authentic and understanding just like A coach should be. Been training at Low Kick since August 2020 and I can already tell my fighting skills have improved A great deal and it's all thanks to Bryan and everything he does. I HIGHLY recommend Low Kick.

Another great family/inclusive vibe type gym. I was a total stranger who just showed up one day for one class. I left feeling like a regular and took a good beat down during sparring. Check the dope website for class details and schedules. Brian was very accommodating and the group welcomed me. Will be back next time I’m in KC. 11/10

I am glad I found this is an outstanding gym. The coaches are top notch and really focus on evolving your striking and really perfecting/sharpening even small details that I never even thought of. With a Great atmosphere too the gym is really for anyone from a soccer mom to a professional fighter. I’ve even trained with neurosurgeons here. Do yourself a favor and give it a try it’s the best decision I’ve made to evolve my striking.

Male, 20:
I had never done anything like this before. I've been going the last four months. Over that time I've learned all the fundamentals from proper punches, elbows, knees, kicks, head movement and clinch (stand up grappling). You can even take private lessons. The classes are no joke and the coaches are certified. Prices are extremely reasonable. The coach's are really doing this for the love of Muay Thai and the community. You'll be in good hands.

This gym is the best one I've ever found!! I live about an hour from the gym and I can tell you, it's worth the drive every day. The coaches are fantastic, the environment is amazing and very friendly whether you're a beginner or an advanced student. I knew NOTHING about Muay Thai when I started here in June and I've learned SO much, it's insane. Coach Bryan and Coach Brandon do a fantastic job at helping me understand the techniques and concepts and explaining why we do certain things and we are ALWAYS free to ask questions. This gym is like one big happy family and they welcome everyone with open arms. Most importantly though, the workouts are awesome!! I usually get bored of doing one thing after about a week but I can't think of a single day where I was bored doing Muay Thai here. I've never gotten such a good workout in just an hour's time while also learning technique and how to defend myself, it goes by so fast and when I'm done, I know I've learned how to defend myself and just put in some great work to improve my physical fitness.
The price is amazing to be able to attend Low Kick, it is reasonably priced and, for what you get, it's not a lot to pay at all. The coaches just want to help you succeed and they're not out to make money off of your failures like other gyms. I've never been so excited to go somewhere consistently and I've been going for just about 2 months now, and I'm STILL excited every time it's time to start class! I don't ever see myself getting tired of this gym and I'm excited to watch it grow with more members! If you are looking for a new gym or want to learn Muay Thai, I guarantee you won't find a better gym with better coaches around here, than you will at Low Kick Camp.

How going to a Muay Thai gym helped me get through the toughest parts of medical school:
Medical school is one of the toughest journeys someone can take. Compressing undergraduate and medical school coursework into 6 years is even tougher. My time at UMKC’s 6 year medical program was intensely challenging, but immensely rewarding. I loved and hated my life during those years. Then there came the dreaded USMLE board exams. Studying for those exams while I had family challenges, including deaths of my grandparents (who helped raise me), was a difficult burden to bear during that time. I needed a way to decompress, and release stress and tension I was storing in my brain and muscles. Then one day, while I was working on the medical team for a combat sporting event, Coach (Brian Carroll) invited me to join his gym. Many of you who know me know that I am nonviolent person. I’m a vegetarian who loves animals and believes in the principle of Ahimsa, or nonviolence. But I decided to try it out. I quickly discovered that Coach Carroll’s gym was a place filled with discipline and solace. I found a sense of comraderie and family within his gym. He made sure I didn’t injure myself by making me practice the basics before I ever punched a bag or mitts. I was able to take out my frustrations on the bags, and what I released in the gym did not follow me home. I was able to relax and enjoy my life more despite my rigorous medical rotations.
I’m now a second year psychiatry resident and I love my job. I made it through medical school. I honestly believe I wouldn’t have made it without people like him in my corner, pushing me along. His positive belief in my abilities helped me get to where I am now.
I’m truly grateful for Coach Carroll and his dedication to the beautiful sport and traditional art that is Muay Thai. And if you’re someone who is thinking about joining, you know where to find him.
