I was referred to Materra Method by a friend who spoke highly of the studio. I exercised a lot before, during, and after the birth of my second child, so I wasn’t sure how much I would benefit from a private session. That being said, I am so glad I went! Abby listened to my goals and was able to meet me where I was at. In just one session, she taught me techniques to help properly engage my core during heavy lifting and doing complex resistance movements. I have been able to apply the techniques she taught me to my workouts. I already feel so much stronger! I am more confident, as well, that I will be able to continue my postpartum fitness journey without injuring myself and achieve my fitness goals!

I am not pregnant and I haven't had kids yet but wanted to learn more about the breath and how it connects to my core and the pelvic floor. She showed me lots of exercises for me to do on my own so I can have a strong pelvic floor BEFORE I conceive which will translate into a better postpartum recovery.
Abby truly has such a calming and beautiful energy about her. I really enjoyed our sessions and was so sad when it was over. I'm so grateful for her and can't wait to be back to see her when I'm pregnant!

I LOVE Matera Method. Its low impact and really helps tone my body in a way nothing else does. It also feels mind cleansing. Abby is so knowledgeable and great at cueing. She always has modifications and wants all of her clients to get the most out of their workout. The online platform is great because it offers a variety of class lengths and body focuses. The greatest place for mamas - pregnant, postpartum and beyond - to learn how to connect with their bodies and feel empowered and strong. I wish I had known about Materra Method during my first pregnancy, but am so grateful to have found it during my second.
