Brian and the entire staff are truly top-notch. They do everything they can to make the basketball experience fun and enjoyable. The games are always competitive, which keeps all of us motivated to play our best. There are also referees on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights, which makes the games even more organized and fair.
I also appreciate the extra care that Brian and the team put into the facilityβlike using a humidifier so the air doesnβt get too dry and the court stays safe and non-slippery.

I canβt say enough good things about Pickup USA Basketball. The owner does such a great job running everything, and the trainers are amazing with the kids. Theyβve helped my son grow so much, not just in his basketball skills but also in his confidence. Itβs been such a blessing to watch his progress, and Iβm so grateful for the time and care they put into every session and every kid.

Lowkey sucks memberships only. I can only play once a week. Doesnβt make sense to pay $50 a month to play 4 times a month. Solid though if you use this as ur main gym itβs worth it. Only do pickup runs 3 days a week. Stop calling this Pickup USA this one is basically just another community centerππ

Basketball AND fitness? The BEST place to go in all of Kansas City for basketball and fitness combined.
The owner Coach Boyer is elite and coached college ball over 20 years! The people are great. Pick up games are awesome to watch because they have refs that officiate the games, so they're like real games.
The personal fitness training is #1 for athletes and for the general population too. Maybe you want to lose weight or build muscle or build a booty. It's tailored to your fitness goals.
You can see the building off the highway and it's easy access to get there so that helps.

When I called this place to sign up my daughter I was assured that she could come in with zero skill knowledge and be coached up. On the first day of camp, the kids attending already had a high level of skill ability and knew the drills without instruction.
My kid was left trying to replicate what she saw the others doing. Occasionally the coaches attempted to offer little instruction on how to do an activity but my kid was not ready as she had zero fundamentals and left mostly to her own.
I called to express to the facility that my kid is so far behind and had been told she would be fine in this camp but it felt untrue. The man who answered listened sympathetically and offered that the owner might call me back.
What I got was a very confrontational owner dismissing my criticisms. Very frustrating experience. He threw in a jab about a refund that I never once asked for. I wish he could have just listened to my concerns and took it on board for the next new kid that possibly started, so they too might not have their passion for the game driven out before possibility of finding a love for the game. Or donβt tell newcomers that you will coach up kids when you wonβt.

There is no better place than Pickup USA Fitness for comprehensive youth basketball development! I recently moved away and my son misses this place tremendously! Brian Boyer and his staff do an amazing job!!! If you are in the KC Metropolitan get a membership! You won't be disappointed!

BEWARE. ..
Paid for 1 on 1 training for my son and did not get it. 1rst trainer was not engaged was focused on training his nephews under my paid 1 on 1 time. Day 2 I arrived then he texted me saying sorry he forgot he has someone else booked. ( After me driving 30 min. ) I then showed up a 3rd time he left b middle of practice to go train someone else. And ended training 15 min early. I finally spoke up and requested a new trainer. The 2nd trainer brought his son. I advised I paid for 1 on 1 training and he says he's training his son also regardless. ( Even tho my money was paid) open gym is cool at this place but no real training. . It all went down hill when I paid for 1 on 1 training. Money and time lost. Will not be returning to this facility ever again. Very unprofessional. And not happy w money list. Definitely did not get what I paid for

Clean, not packed, friendly. My son trains here with Brian. He loves Brian, who is the owner. He has restored his confidence and provides him opportunity to practice what he learns in games that have referees. We are impressed with the progress he has made in just few training sessions.

My daughter has been using a trainer at PickUp USA since it first opened. She looks forward to going every time and has definitely improved her skills and game and feels ready for the upcoming high school season. The facility is clean and bright; staff are all knowledgeable, pleasant and greet her by name. It is worth the 25 minute drive for us!!

My son and I thoroughly enjoy this place. The facility is always clean and spacious. There are multiple courts to use for scrimmages or individual skill development. The individual and group training sessions have dramatically improved my son's game. The trainers are very knowledgeable and passionate about helping players get better. I highly recommend this gym!
