The staff seems more interested in goofing off and gossiping amongst one another than greeting members or being attentive to member needs. Me and my mother went into the gym wanting to workout. This was my mother’s FIRST time going and they said just because her location said St.Louis they denied her entry even though this location was accidentally selected and mind you she’s older so she needs help with technology . My mother literally went home and cried. No one I mean NO ONE should be denied from making themselves healthier and wanting to better their life. The desk people were so rude to her and said she could not enter, which was weird because my friend did the exact same thing and they let her in? They even changed the location FOR HER while they said my mother had to wait 90 days because they couldn’t change it. Make it make sense. Have better hospitality, do not shame people for wanting to better themselves. My mother never wants to step foot into this gym again, thank you for that. Thank you for making her feel terrible about her self. Absolutely awful.

The place is clean, however, the staff is usually fairly rude and the fact they wont let you pay with a credit card is VERY SKETCHY! There are so many common sense cyber-security issues involved in someplace like a gym having access to your checking account. I have also personally witnessed one of the employees getting high in the parking lot before walking in for work.

When I asked who I'm told was the manager, she said there was no one above her I could speak with about the billing practices and that if it wasn't ok, I could simply not join there. Unfortunately, for now it's too far to go anywhere else. All anyone can do is wait for another gym to open in the area. Mr. Owner, if you really encourage me to ask about it the next time I'm in there, how about you let your staff know how to reach you. And the security risks far outweigh any benefit to the EFT draft payment method. It's the same as giving someone your ATM card and pin and asking them not to take your money.

Overall the gym is great. I had a argument with a boy at the front desk about semi truck parking. He was no help at all, rude with attitude, worst combination.
Fortunately the manager named Brad showed up and explained the reason why the trucks are not permitted on the property and showed me a spot right across the street where I can park my truck and work out in peace.

Fantastic staff! The front desk people are always nice and friendly. The facility is typically nice, the only thing you gotta watch for here is the roof is really leaky, anytime it rains or snows look out below! But otherwise a great place to work out and I'm happy to have them in Festus!

Front desk people couldn’t be more disengaged and show less mannerism than what they do. Would be nice to see some new enthusiastic faces that actually look the part of working at a gym. I've been a member of Planet Fitness for several years and have been hitting this one since it opened. Always greated before and after my workouts. Only thing that could make this facility better in my opinion would be to add a bike rack or two outside the front for those that would enjoy riding to the gym. Festus has a couple local bike shops and I'd take advantage of having a rack outside to ride my bike in. I know, a bike rack isn't preventing me from riding to the gym.

Make sure you cancel your membership 7-8 days before the monthly renewal. Went in there on the 16th to cancel before it renewed on the 17th. They said the charge was already going through and it starts pending on the 10th. I am paying my bank $25 to cancel the $10 charge just so they can't get my money. The people that work there are amazing and always nice though. I would make it a two star because of that, but you guys don't have a SINGLE chest supported upper back row machine or a hack/pendulum squat. And I'm talking an upper back row where my arms can flare 90 degrees. They have 124 treadmills that are never all in use though!

I havent been here in so long because I used to be so nervous working out with strangers but times are changing. I came as a guest this time because starting out is so hard!! Everyone seems so approachable and there was a lot of friendly energy at the counter but one (Jessica, I only remember because my name is Jess too!) was so so sweet to me that I almost cried. Nice gym. Problems with their billing has caused me to cancel my membership after only 6 months. I've continually been charged a late fee when I've never been late. It's not been corrected and now I'm told refunds are 2 to 4 week minimum. So I've canceled. Bad enough to pay on time, and still get late fees. Planet Fitness isn't happy with that. They want to over charge, not fix their issue and them try to sell paying back the money they owe me.

Must be going out of business.

I've already came in person multiple times. I've spoken over the phone a few times. It's you're business and reputation, I'm not jumping through more hoops.

Do not sign up for this Company, they charge a star-up fee. 2 weeks later a monthly fee , another monthly fee filling that and within 2 months of membership you’re paying an annual fee when you don’t have the service for a year. The put my membership almost an hour away from my home and want you to come in person to cancel your membership, which that was not told to me at the initial call to cancel on June 23rd now they’re saying because I asked to cancel over the phone and not come in person they are charging me for service that I can’t use. For a membership that started 6-4-23 and supposed to end on 6-23-23, I’ve been dukes out of $140.22 for a membership that was supposed to cost 24.95 a month. Please make that make sense

Clean facility, lots of options, reasonably priced, like the black card option and perks. High school students get to work out for free in the summer (if they have a membership, you have to ask them to pause their monthly premium, but they will). Just found out from Jake, the manager, this location no longer offers any classes or personal trainers. This is one of the reasons I joined planet fitness. Brandon Initially answered the phone and said if I didn’t like it, I should just cancel membership. Shocked by his statement I ask to speak to a manager. Jake stated that I can’t get any credit towards the annual fee even though I just discovering changes in the annual benefits.

Update
I was told I had to come in to cancel membership. I was told as long as I came in before the next billing cycle I would not be charged. I showed up two days before the billing cycle. Then I was told something different. I was told you have to show up a week before the billing cycle. So they charged me another month. There is no reason to have a customer come in to cancel. PF just wants to make it difficult so they can continue to charge your account. Be aware

Went 1 time in August 2022 after a trial ended from June 2022. I wasnt shown where anything is,, how to access anything.. i mainly signed up for black card for the aqua massage. Paid for 8 months, but had IVF and very limited restrictions with the pregnancy.. I contacted to cancel and they continue to charge since March 2023. Will now have to send a certified letter so I have proof, which is very inconvenient.

Very sad and confused about as in why? But recently my year plus long membership has been cancelled out of no where and I was told to leave the gym and was given very little information on the subject but was told "I was told to leave before the cops were called as he was suggested.. I enjoyed the gym and was a frequent participant until recently and even after online I signed up again and pay for my membership I used several gyms through out the area and the moment I go the this location and see the young man that approached me I haven't had my membership since still no clue as in way ..... Now I'm deeply depressed and discouraged and embarrassed.
