I am a black card member and I typically visit the location in Raytown, MO. The gym is clean and I love the fact that men are not using the place as a pick-up spot for ladies. I can honestly say that we can come in and exercise without getting hounded.

Well, it could be that the men are looking at the men and the women are looking at the women. Heck, I dont know!!! Love is love folks...your lucky to find it in any form in this lifetime. What i can tell you is that I feel safe going here. And, they even have a robot security rolling around the parking lot.

Im not sure how that would help you if you so happen to be getting JACKED 🤔 in the parking lot but the thing is cool to look at.

Now, I only have one suggestion. Planet Fitness should take away those virtual pods that no black card member uses and put in a sauna. Hands down, they will get more black card membership sign-ups.

First day I was here and some random guy was trying to mess with me. I couldn't hear exactly what he was saying over my earplugs, but I can tell that he was yelling at me for not getting out of his way. A member of staff saw it happen and did nothing. Won't be back to this location.

I've been going here for over 10 years. And it just gets worse every year. I am sick and tired to people being extremely rude and they let kids play around on the machines and everything not using them correctly and playing on their phones. I just had a woman steal the machine I was using in the middle of my workout and I went to complain and no one did anything.

Great price for a great place. The staff is super helpful and friendly, the wifi is always working, the bathrooms and machines are kept in clean pristine condition. The only downside here is that the staff doesn't seem to catch the dudes who creep around behind women and sit there watching them from behind. Also, it's a bit frustrating that they let people into the 30 min workout area that aren't actually doing the 30min workout. They just sit on their phones and take up space, usually while watching the girls on the stair stepper directly ahead.

I had no issue with the gym itself. The staff was nice, equipment was clean. The hours worked fine with my . Schedule. However, my car did get broken into on my third visit. The theif broke out my window and took an empty bag stuffed down in the backseat. Cost about $500 to fix and after that I couldn't workout there in peace. It's a shame. Be careful if you go here.

A good place to work out. The staff is very friendly. I do think that it is time to upgrade the equipment. The current equipment works just fine, but the newer locations have awesome machines that have air vents. They also have treadmills that don't require you to remove your hands to adjust the machine. The staff is always nice.
Update: During my most recent visit I noticed that they have made some upgrades. The equipment has been upgraded and it was such an exciting moment for me. As a black card member I have access to the spa area. My visit prior to this recent visit I was introduced to the new calming pod that seem to the take place of the Total Body Enhancement. I have to admit that I probably will not be using it again. It is basically a pod that is just the same as the 20 calming and meditation apps I've downloaded on my phone or came with another app. There was supposed to be aromatherapy with it but I could barely smell it and I have a sensitive nose. That is a waste of money in my opinion. Maybe there is more to it that I have yet to discover.

The worst pt I ever been to. I tried taking a shower and other then some guy keeping the shower certain open the whole time he showered I got into my shower and it smelled awful. I would have to say it smelled like a wet dog in a pool of piss. I could smell it the whole time I showered, no body wash could cover the smell. Also the lady's at the front desk didn't say anything to me when I first walked in. I would avoid this one and go to any other pt around.

This club is a bit on the “smaller” side for the area. The free weight section is pretty tiny. I didn’t go during peak hours so it wasn’t an issue. New treadmills and very clean.

Honestly, I mostly love the staff! They are all so nice, so sweet, so attentive, helpful and always have a smile on their faces! They just really make you feel welcome and like you're at home 😊 (At other locations, they might have better and/or more equipment, but they're not nearly as courtesy as the Raytown location... and I have been to all the locations in my area and a couple in Texas and Georgia.) I also like the people and seeing familiar faces; again, just makes you feel welcome and at home.

I really wish I could give this Planet Fitness 0 stars but unfortunately I cannot. I have been to so many different locations, but this one was by far the absolute worst. I have autism and was denied a day pass today just because I have had autistic meltdowns in the bathroom. I tried talking to them several times on the phone and yet they just don't seem to care at all. I hope you guys can actually be a "judgement free zone" in the future

I literally love this gym! It’s my home gym. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The music they play is really good, so if you accidentally leave your headphones it won’t be too bad. I’ve been to other gyms in the area (cough cough Emmanuel) and this one is better. 😆
