For the price, you can't beat it. I have a black card so I'm allowed unlimited guest. I really like that, sometimes most of the time my wife goes, I've taken my kids on occasion, and my friends have gone. For the most part the place is clean, every now and than the employees would rather talk at the front desk than do their jobs. This is a great place to go workout for not a lot of money.

If you pay attention to the app and look up which times are busiest, you can avoid those times. You can get a decent workout done in 30 minutes if you want to. The staff is pretty good, but dont always pay attention to those coming in or leaving (greeting and saying goodbye).

They did get brand new equipment.. HOWEVER, there are WAY too many elliptical machines that people BARELY use. And not enough stair masters. There's always 1 or 2 (out of 4) that aren't working!! Their dumbbells max out at 75 lbs. I wish they had free weights INSTEAD of smith machines.. They have young workers who stand around on their phones and paper towel is always out.
The locker rooms smell horrible. They need to add those automatic air fresheners. The other day there was a homeless lady in there with 3-4 large bags/suitcases. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my LOCKED locker unattended. She could've had anything in her bag to cut the lock. They let ANYONE in the building. A couple days ago, a man was sitting at the front table staring at women. They didn't kick him out. ://

** Parking is also an issue because of surrounding businesses.

I'm not going to show pictures but only out of respect for others. And that is exactly what you get from others and staff as well. There is a father who brings in his son with him, and they work out together. Adorable, yes. Now, picture another father and son who work out together. The 2nd son, who is older than the 1st son, goes over to him, not just 1 time, and hearing him say to him, "You are doing great," "I know it's hard at first, but just stick with it," "you've added a lot to your weights than you were at last time-great job!" And more, I'm sure. These are the types of encounters that will fuel this son's lifelong healthy lifestyle. It's such a calm yet electric energy that flows through the atmosphere.

I go there every morning and tan and work out.🏋️. I use the rec Cumberland elliptical and then I work out on all the weight machines for my arms and legs then I use the massage bed Hydro massage. And the place is clean. The staff is very nice and I have a wonderful time. And I would recommend it to anyone

It depends on what Planet Fitness. The ones in Tulsa, OK, and Billings,MT are great. The one here in Florence, SC on David McLeod is great on the machines and weights, but the shower area is horrible.

My teens and I love working out together at Planet Fitness. We figure skate and need flexibility, so we stretch out before and after working out. Also, I like to implement qi gong and yoga from phone into my routine. I can only find space between machines and in locker room to stretch... St. Joseph site could make a defined, mirrored stretching area.

My husband and I started going here during the week. It's been pretty chill. We get to use the equipment we want to, not too full. People are usually quiet. It's very clean. The staff are friendly. I'd improve the music selection, it's always the same stuff. I'd recommend a more versatile selection that would encompass the large age demographic. Most of the younger customers use their own earbuds anyways. :)

Planet Fitness has been a great national brand with lots of locations in large cities to smaller urban centers like the one i visited in St. Joseph, Missouri. The hydromassage has been critical in maintaining my health and durability throughout my 6-month nationwide tour driving and producing events all over the US. I take advantage of all the equipment that focus on hard to target muscle groups from my physical labor portion of work like calf’s, triceps, obliques and hamstrings. highly recommend PF Black Card and big shot out to the manager Brandon for covering a shift from an employee call-in scenario.
