I pay for a Black Membership every month because I currently am unhoused so I use my membership to get ready for work. One of the females “Liz” is very judgmental when I come in. She definitely goes in to the locker room and flushes toilets while I’m showering. Maybe it isn’t on purpose but it messes up the water very slightly. They also charged me a late fee after only 3 days, most PF Clubs wait 5-7 days to charge a late fee, and I hadn’t even gone in to the gym since my payment was due. I was upset because I was charged every penny I had left until payday and the manager was so cold on the phone it was appalling for 2025.

I’m assuming the “Liz” woman is judgmental towards unhoused people because she isn’t very nice when I come in. I pay the fees and use the gym like I’m allowed to. I quietly use the dirty showers, get dressed for work, and am in and out within 30 minutes. I don’t think I deserve to be judged in a “judgement free” zone for that…

Jermaine Deserves Recognition!

My sister and I have been members of this Planet Fitness for about four or five months now, and one of the main reasons we’ve kept coming back so consistently is because of Jermaine. He’s genuinely one of the kindest and most helpful people at the gym. He always greets us with a smile, offers guidance when we need it, and takes the time to make sure everyone feels comfortable and confident using the equipment.

It honestly saddened us to hear that he won’t be working as much. Jermaine brings so much positivity and warmth to this location—it’s hard to imagine walking in and not seeing his friendly face. It’s rare to find staff members who truly care about the people who come in, and Planet Fitness will definitely be losing one of those people if he’s not around as often.

ALSO!! The manager, Connie, is consistently rude and unapproachable. She lacks basic customer service skills and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for members. She often seems irritated when speaking to members, never greets anyone with a smile, and brings a very negative energy into the gym. It’s discouraging to try to have a good workout when the person in charge seems to go out of her way to make interactions feel unpleasant.

Don't ever go to planet fitness how they treat you is an absolute joke. Chippewa St Louis Missouri. A month after joining up to planet fitness I had been robbed they stole my bag and wallet out of the locker room. Why they can't find out who's robbing the place is because it's the employees are robbing The customers. Its an inside job. The employee at the desk after being robbed had asked what was my social security number that it was part of the investigation for planet fitness I guess they think everyone's not very smart. The guy at the counter wanted that information so he could start up accounts in my name that I would be liable for. Somebody had came in and sat down in the seats in the front they had said they just came there to pay their phone bill the planet fitness employee had went up to him and handed him something (I'm guessing my wallet) and he left to go on a spending spree to multiple locations, while the counter person for planet fitness kept insisting I shouldn't go anywhere because they will steal my car (probably to distract me to take more of my money)

I had quickly closed down My bank account and a few days later planet fitness pulled money out of my closed account. So now I owe $65 of late fees plus the annual membership fee of $50 that shouldn't have been charged yet. because I could not access and get things changed over in a few days. I asked if under the circumstances they could waive those fees as I was unable to change my banking information before they charged my monthly fee. The messed up thing is they are supposed to take the annual fee after 2 months of being in a membership I suppose they took My annual fee at 35 days because they figure I would cancel their membership after being robbed. So in reality I got robbed twice once by the crook and once by planet fitness. They just all started giggling and trying to hide it. I had them get a manager above them and they said under the circumstances there's nothing they can do. I would have to pay all these fines myself. I had asked why should I continue my membership what have you done to increase security. And received no good answer. I canceled my membership and will be finding elsewhere to go.

Planet fitness had told the police I didn't have a lock on the locker so planet fitness policy is to blame the victim to resolve them of liability. I put a lock on my locker every time I left it. The manager at planet fitness told me I wouldn't have gotten robbed if I had a lock on the locker.

I had took a look at 40 other reviews of other people complaining about cars and lockers being broken in to so they apparently do not care about their customers security.

I canceled my membership today after being treated extremely rudely by a staff member (short girl with purple hair). My sister was only standing with me, not using any equipment, but this staff repeatedly followed us and demanded she change out of sandals, speaking with a bad attitude. I’ve brought her before and no one ever said anything. Instead of focusing on customer service, she was confrontational and made the whole experience uncomfortable. I canceled on the spot, and judging by other reviews, I’m not the only one. Management clearly doesn’t care.

There are so many reasons why I love this Planet Fitness. It’s always open, extremely clean, excellent Black Card perks—massage chairs and tanning beds. Yet the most important aspect I love about this location is the amazingly talented and knowledgeable staff—like Merci and Zeke. Zeke is a brilliant personal trainer. His knowledge, skills, and abilities have helped me attain my personal goals and I’ve lost 20 pounds while gaining strength and mobility. He’s always on time, generous and rigorous with training. He really is the best. I give this Planet Fitness my highest recommendation. Great, clean gym with No Judgement and excellent facilities! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The manager here at the Chippewa location asked me to leave the lobby until I got shoes , I got water and after went out the lobby. I would recommend this location to anyone. I had an account I canceled, and they told me I didn't. They made me do an in-person cancellation because I was moving the state, and they charged me every month. I talked to the manager via email, and when I told him the situation, he didn't respond at all. Poor service. Now I have 80 dollars to pay while I cancel the member.

While I was visiting for a Cardinals game I stopped in the PF. The facility was great 👍 especially the staff on site Merci and Ryan shout out to them both for being not only friendly but also knowledgeable of the equipment. I'm really tired of the way the who I think is the manager ya know the short stubby sharp mouthed died red hair who is the friendliest of friendly to whom she wants as I listen to her speak to most that come but yet EVERY TIME she ever has to speak to me I never get the welcome she gives most especially the men. I mean when I didn't have my phone and one of the other teammate already had me in for a hydro message she cut me and the other teammate off and rudely asked what's your number so she could check to see if I was a black spa member even saying under her breath I doubt it . Then she seen I was and says OH WOW um ok. . I mean what the heck is all that extra for. SHE NEVER SPEAKS TO ME UNLESS ITS RUDELY. I met 2 people since I've been here promoting the gym they now go to because they have canceled their membership here because of her funny acting atittude and sharp tongue making them feel uncomfortable. I mean does she have her own insecurities idk but that's not the way you run a business in customer service. She definitely needs not just customer service communication training but a little common curiosity training wouldn't hurt her either that's for sure!

I have been going to this gym for months.I always have my eye wear enhand when I go to tan. Tonight the manager is helping another person 2 computers over.I am talking to an employee with my eyewear and hand advising him of what tanning bed I want.She stops what she's doing.Helping another customer to yell over the computers.You got your eyewear.. I replied , it's in my hand as always . If she is a manager has a problem.Or question She need.

This location is not a “judgement free zone”. I get complained on by staff for wearing a tshirt with sleeves cut out like a tank top but there’s people working out with sunglasses on and full construction work clothes along with others with tank tops. Wish I looked at these reviews prior to coming here. So many breaking & entering on peoples vehicles you’d think the millionaire franchise owner here could get some quality cameras put in the parking lot after constant recurring incidents.

First, the staff are what makes the place. They are amazing. I'd like to call out Saleh, Hasan, Kayla and Stephanie. The newer crew is also great. What is not great is the management. I was told to reach out to the corporate office with my comments or concerns and I have NEVER received a response back over the last 2 years. I had my purse stolen from a locker a few weeks back and trying to get the footage that night was impossible. I scared the thief with my yelling and they threw it into another locker later, which meant they were still on premises. We could have figured out who took it that night, but staff doesn't have access to the cameras - they had to call a manager. I was told I 'forgot' which locker I used, that's why we found it an hour later - I chose a specific locker. SO grateful for Saleh and Kayla who helped calmed me. I sent a note praising the team and sharing my concerns about what happened, and they NEVER responded. I've seen car windows broken into several times. They've also had personal trainers then pulled them 3 times. I've asked about that and no one has responded. The rotating store managers over the years have mostly been good, but they move on so quickly because they get no support. I've been looking at other gyms since management literally does not care. In the past, I would have recommended this gym, now I would say to find another one.

I was trying to get help changing my home club in the app to one closer to where I am and was told that they couldn’t help me with that, and to call a different club? I tried to reach out online for help and never got a response. Now I’ve been randomly charged $53.74 for something outside of my monthly payment and I can’t get an answer as to what that charge is from anyone either. Customer service is non existent, through calling, using their customer service contact on the website, or their social medias. I have zero idea on how to get ahold of someone who can actually answer my questions and not shove me off on another location that also can’t help.

I visited this gym recently and my car was broken into Sunday morning. Everyone who got their windows busted filed a police report, but it's still sad there is no additional security. Management plus the police are useless. It has become a weekly routine. I will definitely not return seeing that this is common. They stole quite a bit of things. YOUR CAR WILL GET BROKEN INTO. About 25% of members have had cars broken into. It is happening every single day with 0 concern. Club Fitness at Hampton has security in the lot and has no break in problems. Getting harassed by employees about needing second form of payment when you already have my bank info is beyond stupid. I have been a member for over two years and will never miss a payment since you have my bank info. It sure seems like fraud to have your employees grabbing more info unnecessarily. Instead fix your broken TVs and maybe care about the constant car break ins you have every day. This location is no longer safe but they will make sure to hassle you repeatedly about payment and other clerical nonsense. Also interesting to see that the owner/manager finally stopped parking their Porsche in the handicap spot. Surprisingly it only took two years for you to turn of your air raid siren that interrupts workouts.

Every other day it seems like there is broken glass all over the parking lot. As you can see from the reviews this happens frequently. It's worth the drive to go to a safer gym. Our window was finally smashed yesterday, too. Don't wait for it to happen to your car, just go to a different location. It will happen to you eventually as it happens constantly.

I had a horrible experience at Planet Fitness on 12/29. My car was broken into while I was working out, and three other cars were also targeted. Our belongings were stolen, and when I brought it to the employee's attention, she said , she was aware of the issue but said there was nothing she could do. So I went to visit the gym at Chippewa and Kingshighway on 6/24 around 4:20pm. I noticed broken glass in one of the parking spaces. Someone vehicle was broken into. I mentioned it to the two kids working the front desk, they both could've cared less. I told them they need to sweep it up because it doesn't exactly welcome your guest, and it doesn't look good.
As I was leaving, I asked them again if they got the glass up. The young lady said no because management hasn't seen it yet. I asked her to give me a dustpan and broom, and I'll get it up myself. She refused. I know they are young adults and don't understand the importance of image or the delicate balance of keeping customers coming to in and signing up for memberships. If no one is coming because of fear of their vehicles being broken into, you don't have a job.
I understand crime is everywhere, and you protect yourself as best as you can. However, the non-chalant attitude of employees who could care less about the value of the business or their customers is disgusting. I would immediately be looking for individuals who actually care about their level of service to the customers and better attitudes.

Use the elliptical machines here. They are available when I come in usually 10.30am. Staff is friendly and always cleaning. Very happy working out here.

I signed up because they had a personal trainer as part of my membership. Then workers at Lindell and then Chippewa locations advised me they have discontinued having personal trainers. It was a great motivator. ☹

My first and last time at this location. The workers didn't seem to care about their jobs. They were just sitting on their phones. I walk in and the kid said "Which bed." Before I even scannd my phone. I've never been here... I guess he thought I looked like someone who didn't want to work out at the gym? No "Hello" No manners at all. I wanted to use the restroom and work out first (he could see my gym bag) but based on my first impression, I just wanted to get in and out. The tanning bed wasn't wiped down properly at all, either. I hope new guests don't get the same interaction. I wouldn't blame them for not feeling comfortable coming back.

Is great place with great staff, Just be extremely careful when you go into the showers I would suggest wearing shower shoes because I have stepped on glass in there on 2 occasions It was my fault 100% because I did not have shower shoes

I usually go to the South county planet fitness. There's not as many people in there when I go and I never have to wait for a tanning bed

I've been going to this place for a year and the staff are great! Super helpful and keep everything clean. I happened to visit a location in the county and they had newer machines and fancy massage chairs?? Attention Planet Fitness, we deserve nice things too!! Pretty sure we pay the same membership rates.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE !! everyones so nice and friendly here :)) been working out with the summer pass and it's been really fun coming to the gym not to packed and people know how to mine their business >:) would totally recommend anyone to come and try it out
