If I could give this Planet Fitness a 10, I would. I travel extensively for work and I use PF all over the country. This is by far the NICEST and CLEANEST PF that I have ever visited. Credit goes out to Summer, the GM and Josh, the assistant GM. This gym has it all. They have a great layout. They have the most stair climbers I have ever seen. My home gym is fairly new and we have 4. This PF has like 10. They have a dedicated area for powerlifting in addition to the usual smith machines. They have a ton of Hammer Strength machines that you would only find in an old school gym. They offer the regular services too but WOW, just WOW with the added machines! I am sore today but in a good way. I took full advantage. I hope more PF's take note and add these types of machines and equipment. My camera was not working or I would add pictures. Worth the trip in or if you live in the area, to join.

Planet fitness is your ultimate starting point. It’s a gym that has everything needed to be proficient in the gym and live a healthy life style. If you’re looking for heavy weight, look elsewhere. There are no free weights beyond dumbells, and the dumbbells only go up to 70(75? I don’t remember fully).

In short, nothing wrong beyond the crowd Planet has of people just being nonsensical, taking forever, or just using it as a social spot to meet girls.

Absolutely ridiculous experience at this Planet Fitness. I was in the middle of a leg curl set at my max weight, full tension, when one of the staff members, a short scrawny dude, decided to interrupt me mid rep to comment on my footwear. Not only is that unprofessional, it’s flat out dangerous. Stopping someone during a max lift could have seriously injured me.

If safety is the real concern, then maybe the staff should learn basic gym etiquette first. There’s a time and place to mention policy, not when someone’s under load. The fact that he prioritized some shoe rule over my physical safety is beyond dumb. Completely unacceptable behavior. Do better.

Used to be great, then when crunch came to town and set up their gym, planet fitness tried to copy the layout and JAM packed more gym equipment in. Now it's too crowded. I've been stepped on and they let anyone in. The last 3 times I've gone in, there men there not in gym clothes just floating around staring at woman trying to work out and even pointing and nodding (happened directly to me twice) done with planet fitness. This is the best Planet Fitness gym that I have ever visited since 2016. I have visited and worked out in over 150 Planet Fitness gyms since 2016. Even the Planet Fitness gyms in Mexico. This gym was just remodeled over about 1 1/2 months ago. It has everything that you need in it, matter of fact, it is overwhelmingly fantastic 😍. It has all the new equipment (ALL), IT HAS FREE Rubber fat Weights ... 3 free weight multipurpose squat rack with hardwood floors 😳😳👀...No kidding. You can use these for incline press, deadlifting, flat bench press...it is a difference between the Smith machine and these multipurpose squat/press racks. It, even, had a free weight curl bar that you can use on a free weight preacher curl sitting bench 💪🏽... Amazing!!! You can even do triceps extensions exercises with the bar on a bench or standing up. This gym has everything. So many cardio machines that you will even start cardio here....no lie. You have to see this place to believe it. I was told by Cameron (a go luck Planet Fitness guy that works there) that there is another Planet Nearby (owned by the same local franchise) that has the same stuff as this gym. I truly recommend you visit this Planet Fitness gym if you are in the nearby outside St Louis area and say "Hi" to Cameron and get your workout on. I hope other Planet Fitness gyms will boost up like this if they have the finances...even Mexico. My review stars is 10 out of 10 freaking stars for this Planet Fitness GYM.💯💯💯💪🏽

Fellow truck drivers: this PF is the best I’ve seen in all 48 over the last several years. They have sinks with proper spigots instead of IR sensors, **walk-in showers** that beat the truckstop chains on pressure and temperature adjustability, they have free weights, and everything is spotless. And importantly, there is infinite parking across the way in the mall lot….and the mall isnt owned/operated by morons. Security said they don’t mind trucks parked here overnight, because they realize how much revenue for businesses we generate. Huzzah! Intelligence has been found on this planet, and it isn’t even artificial. Will mark this on my GPS for sure. God bless, have a good workout, and keep the rubber-side down.

I was diagnosed with MS last year and today was my first day going back to the gym and both gentlemen working the front desk was so helpful and patient with me and my high school daughter I was nervous about having to use my wheelchair but everyone that worked there was so kind and cheerful. This location is the only location I enjoy going to even before the renovation…it’s always been nice and very clean with great employees VERY TOP TEIR …..I’m so glad they’re back open!!!!!!!

The "remodeling" they did at mid rivers was horrible. All they did was paint the walls and move the equipment. They place looks cramped. The strong urine stench in the lady's room seems like it hasn't been clean for a long time.

I've been going to the Planet Fitness Mid-Rivers for over seven years and I've missed it since it closed for remodeling in early April. I was told that it would reopen in 30 days but there's nothing about it on the website and the trucks are still in the parking lot. I'd appreciate some reopening information, please.

I’ve been going to this location for about 8-9 months now and everything was fine for the most part. However, on December 13th I was randomly charged for a $86 tanning lotion that I never bought. After inquiring about the matter, I was told by the general manager Chance, that an employee had accidentally charged it to my card that was on file, because the tanning lotion was purchased by a customer who came in right after I had scanned my membership…not sure how much of it I should believe, but I didn’t think much of it since Chance had told me I will be getting a refund. It’s been well over 2 weeks now and I’m basically getting pushed around whenever I call them about the refund, as they are “waiting for it to be approved”. Since they were testing my patience, I went ahead and made their job easier by filing a dispute through my bank. Just wanted to put this out there to warn others about the lack of accountability from the managers. I understand mistakes happen, but it’s also important to resolve the issue, rather than just apologizing…especially when you’re taking $86 dollars out of my wallet for no reason.

Old life fitness elipticals; water tub rowers are less than half full so there is little to no resistance. TVs are old, tiny, and the signal is split so many times it doesn't work on well over half of them. They do NOT have small lockers/cubbies on the main floor like most other PF clubs so you have to use the locker room which is notorious for theft.

Everyone besides the new assistant manager Nolan is great. Literally canceled my membership after he was confrontational with me.

Location is very clean, rarely equipment is out of order and the amenities are nice. Again, staff are friendly and welcoming - especially the overnight and morning crew.

However, after a recent rude and aggressive confrontation with Nolan, I decided it’s not worth dealing with that guy.

Most of the time I go it's too crowded for me to finish my workout. I had to walk away and give up today because absolutely, every single thing that I could have used or even subbed for my workout is taken. Every time I come home and try to work out here it's the same story. Perhaps if, on the weekends and fridays, they remained open twenty four hours, there wouldn't be such a cluster of people trying to get their workout in at 8 - 10 am on a saturday, or that, I and others could have the option of coming later. Just throwing it out there that all the planet fitnesses that i've traveled to while away for work, when they're open 24 hours, seven days a week they aren't as crowded. And some of us work night shift, so that's a huge benefit. But I will say for a fact that if I stop traveling for work tomorrow, I would cancel this gym membership. That I travel is the only reason that I ever bought into this.

I’ve been a regular member often bringing a guest, the staff is usually friendly but recently had a frustrating experience with the assistant manager. There have been recurring issues with checking in my guest, and this time we had to drive back home to get a physical ID, which was very inconvenient. When we returned to clarify why this keeps happening, the assistant manager continually interrupted me, beginning every sentence with, "Like I said..." before I could even finish my sentence and ask a question. He seemed to be under the impression that I was trying to argue with him, when in fact, I was just trying to find a solution.

I understand the importance of following protocol, but as an assistant manager, it's crucial to listen to members, empathize with their situation, and offer helpful solutions—especially when the protocols can be inconvenient. Instead, I was met with an unprofessional attitude, while another staff member stood behind him snickering. This lack of respect and customer service was very disappointing.

I used to come here all the time. The staff was great, very welcoming. Now the staff changes often. and the ones now I don’t think are nice at all. I have not seen the staff change like it does here at any other Planet Fitness. I also had the frustration of the eyewear when tanning. Update: The sign on the door needs to be changed from 24/5 to 24/3. It's false advertisement. They're certainly not open 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Aside from that, the last few months the vibe is definitely different. Staff is not as welcoming & interactive as they used to be, music selection is lacking, to put it kindly (read the room :/), and the showers apparently are now "cleaned" by simply flooding the entire area.

During covid, Planet Fitness closed its doors. When this happened I ended up having a stroke and couldn't get into the place to close my account nor could I go to the post office. They were closed down and couldn't go in to close my account which only left one option to send it in the mail. I had a family member go in to close my account for me because I could not when they opened their doors. The family member explained to the staff what had happened and that I couldn't come in. They would not let them cancel for me, how ridiculous and told them that it was my problem not theirs. I wrote an email to planet fitness letting them know that I couldn't get in there nor write a letter at that time. What did they do, well they continued to charge my account the fees. If you can buy online, why can't you cancel online. I have been being charged since 2020 when they closed almost 4 years later and I am still being charged. And still continues to charge me. Lost $1,289.40. I do not recommend using them, terrible customer service especially for the people with critical care issues. Thanks Planet Fitness for taking my money at a time that I needed it and kept taking it.
Update 6/17/2024: They reach out and tell me to send an email to them, I did so far 6/7 I emailed, they asked a question on 6/9, I replied 6/9. And from 6/9 till 8 days later nothing, no more responses…….

The manager here is absolutely rude. I asked him if the wifi was working still so I can use the app to check myself in. But he had a bad attitude and got snarky with me and I'll check you in the computer. I don't appreciate that he gave me an attitude. He needs to be fired. All the other employees are good with the exception of the manager. Corporate officials. You need to take legal action on the manager here or I will go to a different Planet Fitness to workout. Checking in from the last time I wrote this review from a year ago. Just had another bad experience from the other day. I just went to workout on 6/12/24. I was just minding my damn business I had Bluetooth on just listening to music on my phone and everything and and I was getting ready to go get a paper towel and one of the bottles so I can get one of the equipments wiped down after using it. Another person was screaming and hollering at me for no reason at all I was staring at her when I technically wasn't cause if I was getting one of the bottles and a paper towel to wipe down one of the equipments. Doesn't give them the right to yell or curse at me at all. Planet Fitness you need to do something this cause I don't appreciate that I am getting judged like this. I thought Planet Fitness was Judgment Free zone. I felt like I got judged at because of this other person that was working out at that gym. My feelings got hurt because of that and I want to see some action. I'm about to call the corporate office if something doesn't change. I had an issue accessing the gym where my barcode didn’t work. Under the guidance of the employee at the desk, we created another account and I scanned my barcode and all worked perfectly.

Fast forward to the end of the month and I get charged twice for the annual fee of $52.90 and twice for the monthly fee of $26.64.

I then spoke to the manager, Summer, and she informed me they would not be processing a refund for the double charges. So I paid $159.08 for ONE month of Planet Fitness’ membership.

Their employee obviously didn’t rectify the issue and instead compounded it, then the manager doubled down on it. Horrendous customer service and will never enter a Planet Fitness again.

They literally let a guy who has been taking pictures of girls in. They still havnt kicked him out. One guy caught him and was gonna fight him, because the fellow took a picture of his gf. He was mad because he doesn’t understand why someone like that would still be allowed there. Management literally gave him a warning and did nothing about it, after getting caught 3 times. BTW, everyone, at 2 months you will be charged 50$, the reason is completely bogus. No one reads the terms and agreement, so I warn you here. They only have 5lb increments too which is scruff because any good gym has 2.5lb sizes. The massage chairs also have a universal code if you want to go unlimited times. It's an okay gym, I really dislike that it's no longer open 24/7. It was when I signed up in 2017 and as someone who likes to go when there's less people in the gym it's hard to pull off on the weekends when it closes at 7:00pm. Went to the gym to tan after taking a break during the winter. Upon scheduling a tanning bed I was asked to present my eye protection, to which I did not have any as it had not been required during the previous year. I was then told I had to pay extra to use a service I was already paying for.

Gym staff is very friendly and the gym is very clean. They also have tanning beds, massage chairs, lounge hydromassagw chairs and 2 hyrdomassage beds. They have a vending machine you can use your app with and charges your card on file or you can use points you earn by going to the gym. Go 8 times a month and get 25 points. And 3 points per visit max once every 12 hours I believe. It could change is my guess, but that's what it currently is. Points are tracked through email and staff can check. They have a ton of different types of machines and many many treadmills and ellipticals. People are very nice and not judgemental here. To use the tanning beds, and massage things you need the black card membership and you can reserve it quickly with your app and usually little to no wait. They last 10 minutes and have music and sometimes picture to match the mucis you chose and are very relaxing and you have a lot of settings you can chose from if you want to for the chairs and beds. I have not used tanningbeds. Use any of these as much as you'd like. It's $25 a month for the black card and you can bring someone every time you visit, though usually guests cannot use those extra ammentities. You can also use any location with this card. Basic card is only $10, just to use equipment whenever you want no extra stuff or guests. The staff knows the machines well if you ever need help with anything. They do not have classes at this location. The app shows different workouts you can do. It also shows your checking time. To check in you use the app and click check in and scan it, or give them your phone number. Yhe app also shows crowd meter(not often crowded but for sure I love this!) They have many perks like coupons to places such as Oakley or hello fresh. Tons of perks and black card has more perks than basic. You can track your fitness journey on the app such as how long you're using the treadmill. You can also track how many times you check in per month. There are a few other features to the app, I recommend downloading to see how you like it. You can add or remove cards for your account there too. And upgrade to black card through the app. Referring friends can get you points $70 off fitbit and free months. Up to 3 times a year. It's worth it. I'll say I 100% recommend this gym. Some old guy was following me and I was going absolute random places to see if my gut was right and he kept going right behind me or next to me. I told gym staff and they handled the situation and made me feel very safe. Autumn is my favorite staff member so far though I've only had the member ship for like a week. I go 2x a day because it's a good place to go. They have nice locker rooms too, though I havent been through the whole thing. Oh and they have the water fountains for bottles too! Ask me anything you want about the gym. I'll answer best I can. I love this place!

I joined the Mid Rivers location while waiting for the OFallon location to be completed. The staff is kind and helpful. Shelby, the GM is delightful. I think I'm addicted to the massage chairs and hydro lounge. I may continue to drive to Mid Rivers even after O'Fallon opens based on my positive experience. This is a really good fit for me. Good people, relaxed, clean environment. I put in my earbuds and sweat out my stress. I have a home gym, but it has lost its appeal. This gets me out of the house and keeps me healthy.

When i had to cancel due to moving, the taller blonde girl at the counter gave me attitude, i signed the cancel form. 2 weeks later i get charge for still having a membership and get told it takes 2-3 weeks to get my refund if i even get it. The guy who helped me on the phone was nicer but still.

another than that it was a nice gym, I enjoyed my time there. Sadly will not be renewing my membership once i'm fully moved after having the struggle i did to cancel it.

Update: I never got my refund, and when I've called a manager who could help me wasn't present at the times. I highly doubt I'll be rejoining a plant fitness in my new area.

*Tips on not being overcharged…Read before getting a membership*

They will say you can only cancel in person or via mail. When you do these steps, sometimes you still get charged (read other reviews). However, you can call your bank and put a stop order on planet fitness. Make sure you do it on their merchant ID. You can also request a refund on other transactions under planet fitness. A bank member told me they have consistent problems with Planet Fitness.

*My Situation

Facility is ok to work out in, but to cancel you have to do it in person or by letter. I was traveling through and bought a membership to only workout a week. I was told I have to get a membership in order to work out and it was really easy to cancel.

When I get back to PA, I tried canceling and was told I can't cancel unless I come in person or send a letter. I couldn't go to any branch to cancel, I had to cancel in St. Peters MO. This is unethical, as I was misled into getting a membership with the promise it would be easy to cancel.

They don't have a red light therapy without the tanning bed so you cannot use it for the 12 minutes that you can in just red light therapy. They have two of the machines that everywhere else I've been they only have one and sometimes you can't get on it at all

Good very clean gym with most of the equipment in good working order. The staff are all very friendly and remember your name if you are a regular. The main problem is that they apparently pay non-management staff $12/ hour. Too much turnover is the result. Come on owners, in this community you can make $15/hour if you have a pulse! Jack, Molly, Madison, Brian, Quintin, Tommy, and Autumn have all been wonderful in 2023 but several of then have bailed out for higher pay elsewhere and who knows who will leave next.

2 star review for letting high school and college kids come for free during the summer. I used to love coming around 8 or 9 pm when the gym was empty and silent. Now it's full of loud kids that ego lift, Slam weights, don't clean the equipment after they are done using it. And just the overall crowded gym is crazy. I've come as late as 10:30 and most of the equipment is being used.
I've noticed a lot more broken equipment now that the kids are allowed to lift for free.

To top things off the company must not being paying worth a dang because they clearly can't get employees to work Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights at this location. So now I have to drive further away on those days to lift.

Considering switching to club fitness because they don't let kids in for free during the summer and they actually must pay or treat their employees better because they are 24/ 7 unlike this location.

Why am I paying for 24 hour access when it's not 24 hours
