Kids (10 and 7 yrs old) are not allowed to stay in the waiting area. I did not know since its my first attempt to try Planet fitness outside of our town where I have been member for 2 yrs and kids are allowed to wait in the lobby. Besides their gym has tiny space, the lady in the front desk spoke very loud probably because we are asian. My kids noticed her attitude towards me. I advise asian people not to go here.

Good evening! (Or depending on what time you see this message, good morning, good afternoon, or goodnight.) It has come to my attention that the Gym Gods have called upon me to review the establishment based out of Warrensburg, Missoura. This Planet Fitness in particular offers a plethora of opportunities for personal growth, both mentally, and physically. For starters, I really enjoy the atmosphere and I believe the team members who are dressed to the nines in Barney colored purple shirts create a special and unique power. The Power Of Positivity! You can feel it beckoning through the air, and it fills up your lungs as you begin your body’s journey. When you take that first deep breath, it’s like the heavens open up, the sky becomes clear, and then the vision becomes clear. When you enter the gym, you are whatever you were when you came in. But by the time you leave, you are a new person. Reborn from the ashes of your former self, you are overcome with a sense of purpose. And every step you take feels like an earthquake of tremendous magnitude. Nothing can stop the force that you are. The Hydro beds are the greatest invention ever created and with the black card membership you get access to shake and bake and bring your friends and family, and everyone that wants to GO BEYOND! PLUS ULTRA!

The absolute rudest staff I have ever experienced now works at this location. I tried to speak the the “manager” Mel about 2 of the 3 staff that were working the other day I was in the gym being rude and disrespectful and contradicting what a different employee had told me just days earlier (I just wanted the Royals game on one of the TVs).

Before I could even finish what I was saying, she rudely snapped at me and went in a tirade about how she disciplined the one employee that was actually polite “for not following the corporate rules” and then proceeded to tell me that the TVs can’t be changed and corporate planet fitness makes the rules because it “breaks the sound app for the phones” and so on, and basically started admonishing about the whole thing, when i told her the sound app actually worked just fine.

Bottom line is that Mel is an absolutely horrible representation of customer service, and it’s unacceptable to admonish a customer because they are concerned about rude employees.

They proudly display a giant poster that they are the official fitness partner of the Kansas City Royals, but they refuse to put the Royals game on TV. When I ask, they lie and say “they don’t get that channel,” or “we can’t change the tvs” but that is a LIE. Today, on both TVs numbered “1” they had the alternate Fan Duel Sports KC playing the OKC Thunder vs the Lakers. that’s pretty damn odd considering you can’t physically get the alternate Fan Duel Sports KC without also getting the main version it, which means not only DO THEY GET the channel that shows the Royals games, they CAN change the channel, because those TVs didn’t get to the alternate broadcast channel (which runs NOTHING unless there is an overlap with the primary channel) on their own.

It’s just very disappointing that I’ve been a member of this place for a few years now, and every time I ask about the Royals games I get lied to, even with the proof it’s a lie is on full display as I write this.

Was excited to see PF just up the street from the hotels. The gym is quite small by my experience with PF and other similar chain gyms. Equipment and the gym were well-maintained and clean. Some regular equipment (machines) were missing, I would assume due to lack of space. Did not expect the 10pm closing time on a Friday night.

This would be the first PF I’ve been to where I was told to sit down once walking in. I walked in at 6:50a not knowing they didn’t open til 7a. Doors were unlocked and I walked in as the young man behind the counter told me to sit until they opened at 7. Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded waiting if I was greeted kindly instead of only being directed to sit down. Needless to say I was the only person in the gym until I walked out at 8a. Nice small clean gym just no friendly customer service oriented personnel. I completely understand it was early Saturday morning, but a gym isn’t a place to have unhappy or unpleasant associates.

The staff is AWESOME at this location! Sam, Scott, Michelle and the rest of the team are so nice and welcoming! They also cheer you on for having a good workout and they keep you encouraged to keep up the good work. They even have become accountability partners to so many of the regulars including myself and my husband! There are days when I don't feel like working out and I drag myself in and they are there to greet me with a smile and encourage me to go get the work done!

Tried to speak with manager and get my account transferred for over a month never got a call back or got transferred. Instead they cancelled my account(without my knowledge or consent) and said they “were unable to help me any further”
The PF in Wentzville, MO gladly helped but management at Warrensburg location was not pleasant to deal with.

Planet Fitness has a very calm, welcoming atmosphere and helpful, friendly staff. There is a vast array of equipment for anything you care to use. The entire gym and locker rooms are clean and in good order. I love their selection of music playing throughout the facility. I have already recommended Planet Fitness to others and will continue to do so. I really look forward to going for a workout!

The Warrensburg Planet Fitness location is very well run. The employees are friendly and helpful and they keep the place very clean. Many times while I am working out I will see an employee cleaning machines, sweeping or running the floor scrubber. I have been in several PF locations and this is one of the best.

I signed up for month with a black card membership so I wouldn’t have to pay start up fees. I canceled about 10 days later and they still charged me for another month saying that because they take out in the 18th every month no matter when you sign up. They also start the process 5 days before so when I canceled on the 15th it did not matter. I was then told it’s recommended that you cancel 10 days before so your out of the system. It’s all a scam all they want is your money so as long as they can get you to sign up they’ll say whatever they need to.

This Gym has a large number of exercise machines that are well spaced so you can do your own thing if that is what you prefer. The place is very clean and they work on that constantly. Come check it out. I think you will like it.

The staff has always been great, and the extras that come with the black card membership is great. They have a total body enhancer that uses red light therapy, as well as two hydro massage beds, two tanning booths/beds, and massage chairs. The only other thing I wish they had was a sit in sauna, and maybe extended hours, but then again I'm not the poor college kid who would have to be there during the extended hours. Over-all great gym and staff.

Negative tho .. I canceled my membership in writing by mail and it never got canceled and they set it up to come directly from ur account instead of a debit card so be sure to cancel in person I didn't realize I could I was sure the contract said cancel in writing .. I paid almost a year and didn't use it .. and only got my money back for 2 months

10/10 would recommend. I appreciate the app a lot. It makes everything so simple and easy to check in, bring a guest, or to find amazing workouts. Equipment and facility is nice, but I was not pleased with the customer service. I personally was not happy with how they chose to handle their membership process. I was charged for a membership that was no longer active. Instead of notifying me and asking me if I wanted to pay for another yearly membership, they failed to send any type of notification and just went ahead and charged my account anyway when I had full intent to cancel once my membership expired. Felt very unprofessional and unnecessary. Being a student and working to put food on the table and a roof over my head makes every cent count, so I was not happy when I had a large amount of money taken from me for no use or no reason. I don’t recommend giving them your business.

From day one trying to get a membership I have had problems. Mostly with the judgmental staff. The staff always seem too bothered to help you in anyway and roll their eyes when you have a question, or if you are just trying to check in you get the feeling you are just a bother to them for interrupting their conversations. When I signed up, it was like pulling teeth, no one showed me around or explained anything. it was very annoying, I thought maybe it was this one girl and maybe she was new or something. Nope, but my family goes to planet fitness around the country and they have good experiences, so I signed up against my better judgment. My family has personal trainers at other locations, and I had asked about them mentioned a personal trainer, had to make an appointment with the ONE trainer they had. We sat down and after she gave me a generic printed out form for people (like 5 push-ups 5 sit ups kinda thing). I after reading I promptly threw it away; she did not listen to me at all so I really felt like it was a waste of time. The reason this is not a 1 star review, I like the equipment and the TVs that you can plug in and watch as you run. And I think having the “Lunk alarm” is SUPER judgmental for a “judgment free zone” just saying.

Allows active duty military discounts , but does not for veterans, combat vets, or wounded veterans . I could care less about the discount, but when they give the active duty soldier a discount right ahead of my friend and brother Marine with a TBI and shrapnel wounds and deny a discount for him, that tells me all I need to know about this place.

Staff primarily female frequently congregating and socializing at checkin counter instead of cleaning equipment and checking for other things to be done, Toilets and sinks in mens locker room need more attention on a regular basis. Brought it up with a manager and she said it's hard to do... Looking forward to the Sedalia location to open, instead of a 36 mile drive a 10 mi drive. Same owner I hear opening that one, hopefully its bigger, saw the spot next to big lots, dosen't seem as it would be any larger by first glance from the storefront. Keep staff busy owner....

Love this place, It's true what they advertise, it is a "JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE." I am 65 years old and just had both knees replaced a few months back and am determined to keep them in shape since my physical therapy in now done. I do not feel the least bit intimidated to go and work out. I go on a daily basis 6 days a week for an hour and a half. The best decision I have ever made to get strong and remain healthy and PFmakes it enjoyable. Thank you PF for your encouragement thru the available personal training as well. Hydro-massages after workout is relaxing. Tanning is easily accessible, Bonus!!
