I’ve been a member of this PF for a while and have always appreciated the clean facilities, friendly staff, and well-maintained equipment. Unfortunately, the recent addition of a heavy, constantly running scent machine has really changed the experience — and not in a good way. I understand the desire to keep PF smelling nice, but this goes far beyond what’s necessary. Myself and other members have left with headaches and nausea due to the overwhelming scent. I really do enjoy PF otherwise, but unless the scent machine is addressed, I will no longer be a member. I hope management reconsiders the current setup.

I have been a PF member for many years, and have always enjoyed the environment. I use this location 7 days a week when im not over the road working. Unfortunately a few weeks ago a scent machine was installed, and its so strong throughout the entire gym You can literally TASTE IT. I have left 3 times feeling nauseous, and a few times with a headache. I am not the only person that the heavy scent has effected. Many have complained but it has been met by deaf ears. One employee even stated she left w a headache from her first shift with the machine running!!! I will certainly be canceling my membership if this takes effect for all locations, as it is absurd to be throwing an overbearing amount of chemicals in the air when people are BREATHING HARD FROM THEIR WORKOUT. . The one star reflects the negligence of members request to AT LEAST turn down the amount of scent that is being sprayed. The staff does a great job greeting You with a smile, keeping things clean, and stocked. I have went to this location for the last time until its rectified

I’ve been a regular at this Planet Fitness, but the last few weeks have been miserable. About three weeks ago they installed a heavy chemical air-freshener machine, and ever since, people have been getting sick from it. Sore throats, coughing, burning eyes—it’s not just me, it’s multiple members.

Several of us asked staff to unplug it, and nothing was done. It got so bad that I finally unplugged it myself, and instead of addressing the health issue, an employee threatened to revoke my membership. That’s incredibly inconsiderate and shows zero concern for member wellbeing.

A gym should be a place you go to feel better, not to breathe chemicals that make you sick. Until they fix this, I can’t recommend this location to anyone.

Love this gym. My son and I choose this location over the new one in Ofallon, even though it's further, because its less crowded and the people here rock! I have a Black Card membership which is worth every penny. You get a free guest each visit, access to all machines, free classes, massage beds and tanning. I recently found out I have a pinched sciatic nerve in my back which makes certain workouts very painful. I asked at the desk for some tips and JT wrote me up a whole 5 day workout plan tailored to me. He is such a kind soul and has been super helpful, along with the rest of the staff here. Definitely recommend this location if you are wanting an encouraging/judgement free atmosphere. 💜

I signed up 6 days ago and Mary was excellent help with helping set up my membership.She helped me pick out the best membership for my needs. She answered all my questions and questions I did not even think of. Everytime I come into the gym, I notice how the employees are always welcoming and friendly. I always enjoy coming to this Planet Fitness because it’s one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever been to. The equipment is always spotless, the floors are well-kept, and everything feels fresh and inviting. A big part of that is thanks to Tyler—he goes above and beyond to make sure everything is in great shape. Not only does he keep the place shining, but he’s also super friendly and approachable. My wife got the black membership to start losing weight, almost immediately afterwards, we had to cut back financially and needed to cancel the membership. Can't cancel online and nobody picks up the phone. The only options to cancel are to send a registered letter or go in person and sign paperwork. After dealing with this announce, they charged us a cancelation fee even though the black membership is a no commitment membership with no cancelation fee. Tried calling again to get it refunded but still nobody answers the damn phone.

I travel a lot, so I've been to a lot of Planets. This, by far, has the nicest locker rooms and Black Card Member features. Lots of tanning bed options. Everything built for comfort and consideration of the client. Not a huge facility but what they are lacking in machines they are making up for in amenities. And the space is used wisely so it doesn't feel crammed together or claustrophobic. Newer machines that are top models. Everyone was really friendly.

I visited Planet Fitness in Wentzville on July 1st 2025, just to pick up my daughter. As soon as I walked in, the staff member immediately asked me to check in—without even pausing to ask why I was there.

A little observation goes a long way: I was wearing Birkenstocks with no socks, jeans, and a t-shirt—clearly not dressed to work out. Instead of assuming, it would’ve been kinder (and more professional) to simply ask if I was there to exercise or just visiting.

When I explained I was only there to get my daughter, his response was, “Well, I didn’t know.” Exactly—you didn’t know because you didn’t ask.

A bit of kindness and curiosity can make all the difference. I hope next time the staff chooses to ask rather than assume. It truly makes the world a better place.

So I’ve been a member here since opening. Used to work here too. Loved that there is a ton of equipment and mostly clean. No complaints until lately. Staff turnover seems like it’s through the roof. Staff and managers shit talking and crying in the locker room. They closed for remodels, no problem I think that’s great. I can’t make it to another planet fitness and still be on time to pick up my kids so I temporarily joined another gym and asked the manager if it was possible to freeze my account for the month while they’re closed. He said no problem and put a note on my account. Yeah still got charged my monthly fee. It’s $25 so really whatever but just seems like super greedy and sketch practices. Would’ve been less mad about it if they just said no. Hopefully they work everything out by the time they re open,

Keasiga who is a, well actually The Employee that you have there is amazing. I have seen her multiple times go into the parking and give assistance to people who needed physical assistance to get out of their vehicles and into the health club. She greets guests by their name when the come into the facility with a smile on her face and she is very pleasant and I often see her on the floor speaking to people being friendly and cleaning up the gym area. She is about as perfect as an employee as you can ask for she makes going to the gym more enjoyable.

8 members of our group are members. We were on a tour bus and all of us working out. The told us we had to leave because of our bus taking up too much room. It was parked to the very side and very end of the lot and the lot wasn’t 1/8 full. If all eight of us had been in our cars, we wouldn’t have taken up as much space. After they told us to leave we were waiting for the air brakes to fill up, about three minutes, and in that time they came out and put a large sticker on our vehicle. They were incredibly rude and not accommodating, IN THE LEAST!!!

Staff is usually pretty nice and friendly. The gym equipment is pretty clean, but the locker rooms and restrooms are never clean. Ever. Toilets are always dirty and at least one of the urinals is constantly not flushing/working properly. The shower stalls frequently have band aids, trash and other things left behind by other members. The overall safety and customer service at this gym is nonexistent. My car suffered damages during the time I spent at the gym. Despite reporting the incident to the staff, no action was taken. RUDE staff- there is no way I will pay money to go somewhere to be treated the way I was treated. There are way too many other options in the area. The day manager was part of the problem in my situation so the resolution is that I am cancelling and going to a gym where they treat people like they have value. Every patron should be required to take a gym etiquette class before attending gym. Patrons do not spray off machines after use & some hog a bunch of dumbbells at once.

Dumbbells only go up to 75 pounds. Need them to go up to 150 pounds for the stronger patrons.

This planet fitness is a great location to stop any time of day. Whether it's at 2 or before, kids get out of school or 2 am. before anyone wakes up, this place will take care of you. All the machines you'd expect at planet fitness are here, including tanning and massage chairs. The bathrooms were clean, and all the equipment seemed quite new and in good shape. The staff behind the desk were very nice and kept walking around to make sure everything in the place was in order. They had music on in the place but it wasn't too loud.

Beautiful gym with great features, but what kind of scam requires your banking information? Especially in this day and age where everyone is getting hacked and information is compromised left and right. We were told at the front desk we could sign up with two credit cards instead of a credit card and a bank account, only to have that reversed when we actually began the sign up process. Extremely unprofessional coupled with slimy business tactics.

Edit: In response to the owner's response to my review: It is abundantly clear, both through the company policy and through the abundance of experiences people have proving otherwise, that the policy requiring ETF via banking information is for the company's benefit rather than customer convenience. A dual card system should be enough to prevent a bounced charge. It is, however, much more difficult for a customer to block a charge (particularly after cancellation) if a company has a customer's banking information rather than their credit card information. Also, in response to the company having only the information that would also be provided via a checkbook. Checks have fallen out of fashion, with many companies no longer accepting them outright, in part due to the security issues they present. Checks are also numbered so if someone were to steal and then use a check, it would be easier to track where and how, versus a company such as Planet Fitness who could have their servers compromised from unaffiliated parties.

This also does not address the fact that we were lied to at the front desk. We were explicitly told we could use a dual credit card system for sign up, only to have that decision reversed once we began signing up.

If you would like your money stolen by all means I cancelled my membership about a month ago when I went in I had told the gentleman working the counter who seemed new since he had to look everything up by a book? I want to begin this review of Planet Fitness Wentzville by first disclosing that I have been a member here since the clubs grand opening. I have generally enjoyed going to this location for years but lately the staff and facility have been sub par. The locker room is muggy and for the members that get showered and dressed here, well you are sweating immediately. I guess the owner is too cheap to kick in for the added AC back there. The recent renovation did zero other than move the existing equipment around and add some new grip and surfaces to the equipment. Nothing too impressive. So after all these years my wife and I are done. We've spent way too much money on the same ol same old here.

Can't say I was ever a big fan of this gym. I came because it was the only gym in the area. It wasn't bad before just not my favorite. Well, I guess they saw the new gym getting ready to open in the area and decided to upgrade. The upgrade was a huge failure as far as I'm concerned. The gym is now so crowded one can't lay do a bench press without your knees hitting the large mirror. While they crammed more equipment in they didn't repair the bad ellipticals. The first two I got on this morning both didn't come on. I now can't wait for the new place to open. It is just too full, this upgrade got botched no one wants to work out stacked on top of each other.

Positives:
The price is great and they are across the country which is great.I keep a membership to use on vacations through the year. This particular planet fitness is clean and well maintain the staff is polite and helpful.

Negative: As someone who has worked out for a decade I do not understand why this gym has a policy of allowing draw string bags but not regular gym bags. There reason is regular bags cause a tripping hazard, draw strings don't. As a person with critical thinking skills this is obviously not factual and this policy seems to discourage people who have extra equipment such as belts, straps, foam rollers and yoga mats from being able to bring them to the gym without lugging it around loosely which would seem to also be a tripping hazard. If that is the reason it would be much more exceptable to make the policy not to allow outside equipment and straps rather than banning a type of bag claiming that one bag is more of a tripping hazard than another when larger bags would seem to be more visible than smaller bags and pose less of a hazard.

I love this gym, almost always super clean, only issue is employee turnover. The current staffs great now, but they keep going through spells of hiring people who don’t make it worth even the $10 lol.

Horrible company all around. People come here to be comfortable with learning fitness and to keep themselves healthy and happy. This company takes advantage of that and hits people with all types of random fees. Find a actual gym if you’re looking into getting into fitness, planet fitness is a joke. Don’t waste your money here.

I enjoyed the gym until they made a poor management decision. They got rid of Justin the best personal trainer. He cared about the clients. He is the reason I came back. There is going to be a lot of people leaving, but I guess they don’t care. They only care about money, not about people.

I work out regularly at planet fitness. I'm one of those morning guys and I try to get there a little after 6:00 a.m. . This works the best for me because the crowds are low and I can get in and out in about 45 minutes. The workers are always friendly and the spaces are always well kept and cleaned. I'm not bothered and I can do what I need to do in a timely manner. If I needed extra amenities they offer extra training as well as tanning and massage. Best part of all is it's only 5 minutes from my house.

Started going here a couple of years ago to get back into shape and lose some weight. Took me the better part of a year to get into a routine.

As far as the place goes, it's awesome when I go at 0330. Anything you want to do is open without waiting, which helps greatly in getting in and out.

I have a set series of machines I do and don't like to switch or skip them. I need to be at work at 0530, so it's important to me to be able to get my routines in and get back home, shower, and get out the door to work.

I learned it really gets busy around 0500.

In regards to Justin, the Planet Fitness fintness trainer... I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and I would trust Justin to train my family members. In regards to Caleb, the manager... I think Planet Fitness would be hard pressed to find another individual who is as genuine and dedicated as he is. Also I want to mention Jasmine and Molly who are fun and easy to talk to.

Friendly staff here at my home gym. I'm usually there 2-4 nights a week. Talk to Mel if you have questions, she is great. It has everything I need to grab an hr long workout after sitting at my desk all day!

Update: service has declined here so minus one star. The desk equipment is broken quite a bit which makes the staff not know which Tanning or massage chairs are occupied so they have to go look. Tonight I was told I could not use a chair because it was "Booked" but no one was in it or around to use it. Was told I'd have to wait until the absent person's time was up. Wow. Staff turnover is high and there is no discernable manager. It has gotten so much busier, so can't wait until all the New Year resolution folks are done!

Started going to this location once I moved to the area and was reluctant since I was used to my old gym.I’ve been to several planet fitness and never felt as welcomed as I did by Lanette. Lanette is amazing and has a great attitude, energy and positive vibe !!! Thank You Lanette

Been going to this location for 5 years and it's ALWAYS been congested and difficult to keep up a pace of a workout. After upgrading to a black membership a few weeks ago and moving around between locations, I can definitely say that the wentzville location is the worst so far.

Regardless of day or time there are always people camping on machines and spending more time on their phones that using equipment. Staff seems to sit behind the desk and ignore the floor. High demand pieces of equipment are minimal.

If this location has so much traffic, it might be time to consider opening a new location somewhere in between the 20 miles of your next closest gym. Shame you aren't accepting new franchisees at this time.

As a first time gym-goer, I've had a really good experience here. Justin is a professional and understanding trainer, and the facilities are comfortable with ample options to work with. I like the $15 a month option, while my roommate really values having the massage beds after his workout, and after 3 months we're both happy with our results from working out.

St. Peters club is NOT open 24/7 as advertised, charges as if it is, even though other planet fitness clubs are in the area are. I wish it was open 24/7 as the other clubs… I’m cancelling membership.

5 starts for the over night lady ... above and beyond .... very neat with hot water .

Brand new massage chairs and they working perfectly .

Just because I travel for work sometimes I ended up at planet fitness locations with broken Massage chairs and they don't even provide hot water .
