I was in KC for work and found this place. Tried Power Yoga 2.0, Power Yoga 1.5, and Hot Flow + Weights. REALLY great classes! Instructors were fantastic (Elyse, Savanna, Molli, I think). Would absolutely come back if I’m ever back in Kansas City. Thank you!

I was visiting the area and had the good luck of choosing this place to join. I love trying studios when I travel and this studio’s classes and vibes were incredible. The classes I chose were fun and challenging but the vibe is so great you can get through the challenge. I cannot say enough good things!

Power Life is SUCH a GREAT environment and has made me feel welcomed EVERY class! I love how inclusive the classes are, you can be a 'novice' and still succeed. Although the classes are quick, they are effective in increasing your heart rate and creating a full-body workout. I cannot recommend Power Life enough!

Took a power sculpt class led by Gia h. The class size was way too over crowded for the size of the studio. I was completely lost the whole time because the music was too loud and the instructor was too quiet. I usually walk out of these classes less stressed and feeling better but this was not the case. Would not recommend to a friend. Better options in the kc area.

edit: shortly after posting my original review, I was contacted by Power Life and they notified me that they saw my review and learned about an error in their cancelation system that lead to many others being charged after canceling too. I had suspended my subscription for a few months to save up with full intent to come back and use their studios and i had absolutely no trouble suspending my account so i was very confused why canceling it wasn’t working and was relieved to know it was an error on their end. I had read their terms for cancellation very carefully before i even signed up which was what aggravated me and had me post such a hateful review before. I will leave the original review at the bottom for transparency on the situation but will edit my rating to more accurately reflect my experience with this business.

Now for a proper review of my experience…
I started out testing their facilities with a week of classes for $25 (a trial plan they had offered at the time i discovered them) I absolutely fell in love with their facilities and ended up signing up for their monthly subscription. I love that their subscription is good for all the locations and not just one location. I was able to plan my classes based on where I was in the city and what type of class I was in the mood for. After experimenting with the different classes they offered, I fell in love with their restore yoga classes. Being a full time student and full time employee, restore allowed me to have a place to relax from the chaos. I ended up liking restore classes much more than the other classes they offered but they didn’t have very many restore sessions in the week and one of them was held during the same time as one of my university classes so it made paying the full price of the subscription a little harsh. Ironically, my car broke down actually when i was on my way to a restore class so that’s when i suspended my subscription (again i had no problems with this process, but i never did get a confirmation saying they went ahead and suspended my subscription for the time i requested. the subscription was suspended for the exact amount of time i requested though) Thought I would have my finances lined back up so i could start attending restore classes again with my membership but i didn’t and when my subscription kicked back in, they were offering even less restore classes and they were tough to get into often filling up quickly. So due to finances and my favorite classes being less accessible, it was best to cancel (which is where I had issues and where my original review comes in)
Overall, they have great, clean facilities, great teachers, the other people who attend are awesome and kind! The classes are super great but you’ll definitely find classes you look forward to more than others. I hope to come back- especially if more restore classes are held and are varying times throughout the day not just evenings.

Original review: been trying to cancel this membership but they won’t answer my emails or phone calls. i was trying to cancel it until i could afford to go back but now once i get it canceled, i will not ever be returning. and yes i know you have to cancel 30 days before the next bill, ive tried for the 3rd time.

I took my first class at Powerlife today and it was just what I needed to get back into yogaπŸ’› The owner, Bri and her adorable golden retriever Molly are very friendly and welcoming. I took the power sculpt express class with Mattie and it was challenging in the best way possible! The music was perfect and she gave great instruction. You will leave soaking wet so bring a towel! Needless to say I’m hooked and I can’t wait to take more classes at this studio.

I love this place as the classes are always different and the instructors are amazing. They also have tons of class times to work with anybody's schedule as many studios are very limited. Plus, this place has five locations in KC, which helps contribute to the various times too.

Finding your place where you feel comfortable to do your yoga can be difficult to find. It’s all about the teachers and how you connect with the way they are teaching the classes. I found that I could pick any classes and any teachers at Power Life and feel good about my choices. I don’t hesitate anymore, I just go for it and feel good. They make me feel good and connected to others. I’m celebrating my 100 classes and just got my annual membership. There’s no questions to ask anymore and love the power life teachers that help me grow in my yoga forms. I’m not perfect, but I show up on my mat, learn, grow and feel good! Thanks Power Life to bring the power in me!

Joined Power Life a couple of years ago after my fiance suggested it would help my back pain as I was going to the chiropractor about once a week. These classes have helped build my core and saved a lot of trips (and money) to the chiro. The teachers are amazing and well trained. The facilities are always cleaned right after each class. Classes are spread throughout the day to make it convenient to your schedule. Definitely worth trying out if you like to get a good sweat in but also benefits mental health and breathing!

I'm new to town and was going to do the whole "yoga studio shopping" thing. Turns out I hit the nail on the head first try. Mike, Caroline, Jenny and every other instructor I've met so far are not only incredible teachers, but invite you into their home with warm, open hearts and a "can do" attitude. Furthermore, the community atmosphere is the exact same way! Meeting people here is so easy and fun because everyone says hi, smiles and engages. I highly recommend this studio for both beginners and vets alike.

I dropped into Power Life Yoga this past Sunday while I was in town visiting my sister. I've been looking for a Kansas City yoga home for a while, and this studio is great! They were extremely warm and welcoming, and the class size is nice and not overwhelming for an outsider. I am experienced in power yoga, and loved Andrea's class. I also met Erilyn, the barre instructor, and she was so sweet. Next time I'm in town I'll be sure to take her barre class. Thank you for the hospitality!

I absolutely loved my experience at Power Life Yoga! From the second I walked in, I felt welcomed. I was nervous and didn't know what to expect but the front desk person did a great job of explaining to me what to do and what to expect. Once in class, the instructor made me feel successful by offering modifications. I didn't feel like I had to be yoga-body perfect. Thank you Power Life.

I had a bad experience at Power Life Yoga. My negative experience had to do with an instructor, Stefan, who was not friendly or professional. While I was preparing for a class, he came in the exercise area and stated that I had come too early for the class. He also stated that it was not allowed to have jogging jacket or iPhone present in the room. This was unexpected as for many past classes I had always come early to warm up, and I've always placed my warm up jacket and iPhone out of the way in the corner of the room. No one had ever said anything about not being able to bring in warm up jacket or iPhone. For the class that I was in the process of preparing for, I had even asked a different check in instructor where to place shoes so as to not damage the wood floor. The instructor at check-in said nothing about not being able to bring in iPhone or jacket. In relating these facts to Stefan, his curt response was that 'we have signs up all over the place, above the urinal and on the door'. I explained to Stefan that my focus is always on the workout - that I hadn't noticed the signs. In the exchange, there was no welcoming introduction from Stefan - no handshake, no words such as 'nice to see you', or 'glad to have you in the studio', no friendly small talk that would show appreciation of the customer. All of a sudden there was just this person in the room who I had never met before informing me of how I was in violation of Power Life Yoga policies. The whole experience made Stefan come off in an unfriendly way. As a result of this attitude, I've asked for and received a full refund of fees I've paid to Power Life Yoga. My time is too valuable to be around rude people. I'm a member of a couple of other yoga studios in town that have cordial staff members. Going forward, it would be nice for Power Life Yoga Staff to be trained on how to treat a paying customer. Some recommendations: 1) Be nice and show appreciation of the customer. The instructor in question didn't have one positive thing to say to me, only negative. Related to his comments about coming early for a class, I've actually called Power Life Yoga to ask them if there is a problem with this if not interfering with a previous class. Their response was that there is no problem. So if this is the case, one has to ask why the instructor brought up the topic with me in the first place. 2) Have all instructors on the same page when it comes to what can and cannot be brought into the yoga room. When I ask a check in instructor where to place shoes and nothing is said to me about not being able to bring in iPhone and runners jacket , and then another instructor later comes in and tells me how I'm in violation of policy, this is contradictory and not a professional and satisfactory way of dealing with a customer. 3) When valid issues are raised related to poor customer service, to follow up in a positive way with the customer to let him or her know how these issues will be rectified.

My orthopedist told me three weeks ago I could no longer run and needed to find something else that also worked my core. I was resigned to just do yoga on occasion until Power Life came to town almost as if sent by Lord Krishna just for me. A few days after that doctor appointment I decided to use my free week of yoga and try the only available class when the kids and ex wife/girlfriend are asleep. It had a heinous sounding name like heated power cardio sculpt yoga. I hated it. I was pretty sure I was having a heart event. Then the rest of the day I felt 18 again so I went back every day that week and now I'm hooked. My knee feels better and I'm doing cardio for the first time in 2 years and sprint type cardio for the first time in 15 years. It is the 3rd hardest thing I've ever done and in a lifetime of truly awful decision making this has been one of the best decisions of my life. It has revolutionized my life and I have so much more energy and my mood is elevated all day. I even have energy to do chores after work now so my ex wife/girlfriend is also happy about that and the better moods of course.
