Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for a long time,
we have a class to suit your needs!
At Present Moment, we want you to know that you don't have to be a "yogi" to practice here. We recognize that all bodies are different, and we honor and support your own unique expression of this practice. Each time you walk through our door, we invite you to let go of judgement and competition. Our hope is that as you relax and let go, as you breathe and move, you will develop a sustainable practice that supports a happy, healthy, balanced lifestyle.

I highly recommend Present Moment Yoga! I have been practicing yoga for quite a long time and have had the pleasure of working with various teachers along the way. I moved to Washington,Mo 4 years ago and have been so blessed to discover Melissa's studio. Melissa offers a wide variety of classes and times so that you are sure to find what you need. Her style of teaching is excellent and I am constantly amazed at the variety within the different classes. The yogi community is warm and inviting. I've made some dear friends there if you get the chance, try Present Moment Yoga studio. You will be very happy that you did!

Present Moment Yoga is conveniently located along the Washington river front which adds to the serenity and peacefulness that you get while doing yoga. I have done a lot of classes over the past few years and really enjoy the trapeze sessions along with the candle light sessions and the outdoor sessions on the river front.

Melissa is an excellent at what she does and has that calming presence around her that is very genuine.

I also did her private wellness sessions to kick start my healthy living journey.

I highly recommend that you take one of the many available yoga sessions to get away from the craziness of life and take a moment for yourself.

We are so lucky to have Present Moment Yoga/Melissa in Washington. When I mention my favorite places here, I often forget Present Moment Yoga because it's so much a part of my life now. I started to help with back issues and overall tightness.

I've been taking classes for approximately 3 years. As far as my favorite classes, it depends on the week. My go tos are Basic Yoga, Yin/Restorative and Meditative Yoga. I'm easing my way into Trapeze. I also enjoy the workshops!

Melissa also does private coaching. I did that for a year. It can incorporate yoga, but it's more of wellness. I attribute the coaching a lot into helping me accomplish other goals. Words can't express how much this helped during a challenging time of life.

I also love the friendships I've made and the energy of everyone chatting before class. Gives me energy.

Came for yoga and it was a nice atmosphere. I liked that I was able to walk in and pay and didn’t have to join a membership or pay ahead of time. Nice open space with great instruction!

A post was on Facebook about an intro to trapeze yoga and I sent my daughter a link and she agreed to go with. The studio is calm and inviting and the instructor was very sweet and patient. I have done regular yoga for years so as far as flexibility I had no issues but the added dimension the trapeze sling adds is challenging especially if you have balance issues. Hanging upside-down wasn't an issue but the swaying involved triggered my vertigo and I was queasy afterwards but happy with the positions that I had been able to get into. Although this particular practice isn't for me it did give me deep stretching in areas you don't get with typical floor yoga. I would encourage others who are hesitant to give it a try.

Even at the age of 81, I love to be part of the Present Moment Yoga class on Friday morning. I have started to participate in yoga classes when Melissa first opened a studio. She has been consistently an excellent teacher. In all those years she got me to stretch and strengthen every muscle in my body to my ability with her many variations of moves. She provides a long enough warm-up time that I never experience any muscle aches. I can only recommend any of her classes!

Melissa is an amazing instructor and was so helpful in my journey to start yoga. I was very nervous so I started with a private class to learn what to expect which really helped me feel comfortable.
Now I go to the basics and yoga trapeze classes weekly and it has helped my body incredibly. I also love all the special events and classes like sound healing, outdoor yoga in the park and wine yoga classes. Melissa works so hard to make everyone feel comfortable and get a perfect yoga session it shows!
