Absolutely love this place. They are so welcoming and kind no matter who you are. Even as quiet as I am (extremely introverted), they still remember your name and who you are. I usually stick to the Classic classes, and each time I leave feeling good. Jenny’s classes are my fav. Highly recommend.

The studio is great, the instructors go above and beyond to help you meet your fitness goals, and it such a positive environment. I LOVE working out here! All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and always ready to help you. I love the classes because no matter your fitness level, you always feel like you get a great workout and the instructors help you do your best. Love this pure barre location! I have tried many different barre studios (pure barre, Barre3, the bar method etc) and this one was by far the most welcoming and accommodating. Jenny is one of the friendliest owners I have ever met and she is very attentive with checking in with students and offering modifications. I love Lindsey's playlists and have also been enjoying the new stretch and restore classes. Highly recommend to anyone who is a barre newbie or barre pro!

Love the classes but extremely annoyed. Class was scheduled to start at 9:30. I called at 9:20 notifying the staff that there was an accident and that my GPS said I would get there in 15 mins. They said that was fine. I get there and another girl answered the door and as I arrived at 9:35 she said that I couldn’t be let in but if I showed up at 9:31 I could have been let in. Why would they not have told me that on the phone versus driving all the way down here. Very inconsiderate, rude, and not flexible for life happens moments. Be transparent if you are closing the doors one minute after class starts after I called ahead (due to an accident on a rainy day) and would be five minutes late. Wouldn’t have wasted my time or my gas. Now I’m most likely going to be charged $20 for β€œno show” fantastic.

The quality of content/results are not equal to the price demanded. I love Barre exercise - this is a fun environment to learn a bit about it. However, this program's movements (at least the Pure Barre Go videos on demand and the foundations class I attended) are too fast paced to catch on to quickly or to actually engage the necessary and correct muscles. Do not try their free trials. You will inevitably pay for something you didn't use or get several phone calls afterwards.

I started taking Pure Barre since August 2017, and it's been such a wonderful experience! From the low-impact moves (great for my joints) to the cardio-based Pure Empower (wish I could take more of these!) to the friendly instructors and barretenders (they know my name :D), I highly recommend giving Pure Barre a try. I've tried all kinds of exercises, trainings and workout classes for years, but never been able to establish a consistent workout routine until I joined Pure Barre. It's only 50 minutes and primarily low-impact, body weight exercises, but it's as challenging as you wish to make it and very effective. The struggle is real! After just a few classes, you start to notice not only stronger and more toned muscles, but also improvement in endurance, posture, and sense of well-being.This motivates me to push a little further each time and makes me look forward to the next class. I love that classes are smaller and intimate, and instructors pay attention to you and guide you without judgement no matter where you are. I also love the sense of community and camaraderie, especially among the regulars. These beautiful ladies of all ages and levels inspire me to be a better version of myself and encourage me to stay accountable. I just wish they offer more evening classes so that I can attend every day after work, especially Empower classes! All in all, I'm proud to be a part of PB community and can't wait for my next class!

I tried Pure Barre Summer 2017 when a friend of mine mentioned she worked out there. I had been curious about Pure Barre for awhile, and participated in the 1 week free promotion. Ever since then, I've become a true Pure Barre attendee.

The work outs are fantastic and a good kind of challenging. The instructors are lovely as well. When I had a stress fracture in my foot, they took the time to help me with modifications to the workouts so I could continue and avoid further injury. I also do not feel judged for having no idea what I'm doing, which is most of the time. ;) It's a supportive, energetic, and overall great environment. I'm glad I decided to give this a try.

Pure Barre is a fantastic, low-impact work out option. The instructors are very knowledgeable and offer body-positive feedback throughout the entire class. You'll only hear encouraging words as your push yourself to new limits and continually see improvements in strength and stamina. I had honestly never heard of Pure Barre before they moved to their new location on Bluff Creek. It is so close to my home I decided to give it a try not really knowing what to expect. That was 3 months ago and I was instantly hooked. All of the instructors are so welcoming and helpful. I have met some really great people and most importantly, I feel amazing! My core is stronger, my posture has improved, and it has motivated me to lose weight. It is an intense workout but "doable" at the same time. It is different than any other workout I've done and I absolutely love it! I would definitely recommend!

My favorite parts about Pure Barre in Columbia are the instructors and the quality of the workout. All of the instructors take the time to encourage each participant throughout the class. It's so motivating!

If you haven't been to a Pure Barre class, you have got to give it a try. The traditional PB class focuses on muscle toning, while the new Platform aerobic class is an excellent combination of toning and cardio. Both provide an excellent total body workout!

I can't get enough! My boss convinced me this Summer to join with her and once I did, I was hooked. I run a lot of long distance races and my muscles and joints tend to get tight and sore easily. I didn't change any of my race training methods except for making sure to attend Pure Barre as much as possible. Pure Barre helped me knock 22 minutes off of my half marathon time! My flexibility and strength has hit an all-time high thanks to these ladies!

I took my first Pure Barre class in fall 2012, shortly after Pure Barre Columbia opened. I was hooked immediately! That first class was the first time I both enjoyed a workout and felt challenged by it. When I moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for my first job out of school, Pure Barre was one of the few constants I could count on, even though my life had dramatically changed pretty quickly. I took PB classes off and on during my two and a half years in Alabama, but really fell back in love with it last March. After training for and running a half marathon that really put a lot of wear and tear on my body, it was such a relief to come back to Pure Barre. My back problems that developed during half marathon training all but disappeared. When I moved back to Columbia this past summer, it felt like coming home – Pure Barre included. That β€œhome” feeling is probably my favorite thing about Pure Barre. I love that the PB team goes out of their way to make sure everyone feels welcomed and encouraged. I just joined the 100 Club at Pure Bare Columbia a couple weeks ago, and I seriously felt as proud as I did when I ran 13.1 miles. Pure Barre has lifted my seat and toned my muscles, but most importantly, it’s given me a sense of confidence and joy that no other workout ever has.

I took my first class here today, although I've done barre in the past. Everyone was so encouraging and upbeat, and took the time to welcome you and correct form without making you feel incompetent. The studio is clean, and the owner made a point to introduce herself and the studio personally to me (she wasn't the one teaching the class). It was low-pressure and the music was fun.
Barre isn't necessarily my favorite workout, but that's a matter of preference. They are the best I've seen at doing their job.

I love the friendly atmosphere at this studio. there is camaraderie among all the participants and such encouragement from the instructors. I have a lot of medical/body issues, and am 60 yrs old, so was reluctant to start this exercise program when my daughter raved about it and described it to me. but, I have found such individual help from all instructors to help me deal with my issues and that has allowed me to really benefit from this exercise. they have offered modifications for several sections of the class for me which allow me to work the areas everyone else in class is working, but working it within my own body's ability. I can't rave enough about how much this exercise program has helped my mobility and stamina in my everyday life.

I have never been one that likes to do workout group classes. I have always been the one to workout by myself, get in and get out. I was convinced by some friends to try Pure Barre. I was hooked day one. The instructors are top notch, knowledgeable, always challenging you, care about you and what you get out of the class, your form and technique, and you as an individual. Pure Barre is like a workout family. I can definitely tell when I have missed a class but I jump right back in and get it done. The atmosphere is always friendly, smiling faces, ready to get a good workout in, and ready for the challenge. I mean where else can you sit in a chair, have a pretzel, and be at the Barre at 5:30am??!! I highly recommend Pure Barre Columbia MO to anyone from beginner to veteran in the workout world. Since day one, the staff and even my fellow workout partners has made pure barre another home for me. Being three hours away from home at college it was important to make such bonds to have the ability to have a family here in Columbia MO. You arrive at pure barre knowing you will be greeted with a friendly sincere smile and will experience a workout that will challenge your body in a different way than any other work out. The pure barre team also is a great motivator helping you push yourself to your greatest potential and revealing that you are strong than you think. Whether you are wanting to drop 50 pounds, or even just maintain your weight but build muscle giving you incredibly strong arms, core and thighs pure barre is definitely for you. I have been attending classes for 8 months and there has never been a time I have dreading going. This 55 minute class, which is available at such various and convenient times through the day, is my get away from the real world and my time to give back to myself and my body. Pure Barre is most definitely worth a try, and if you are anything like me you will be in love after your first class.
