I appreciate that Pure Barre offers a judgment-free environment where instructors consistently provide support and encouragement. They prioritize proper form and always offer modifications for those with injuries or limitations. Additionally, Pure Barre has fostered a strong sense of community among women, allowing me to connect with individuals I may not have met otherwise.

Back at the Barre after a 16 month break for health issues. Walked back in and immediately welcomed back by the most amazing non-judgemental group of girls on the planet. This place is the perfect spot to start or continue your fitness journey!

Joined this studio as it opened in August 2020 as a founding member and all was well. When 2021 hit though, Rachel Hilton (owner) took on too much. She opened a bunch of new studios all across Kansas City and didn't hire enough staff or dedicate enough time to training.

I chose to become a barre instructor because I loved going to barre. The instructor schedule is an agreement to teach 5 classes a week. I was regularly scheduled more than 9 classes each week on top of my full-time job. Rachel repeatedly ignored my requests for a lighter schedule. Rachel wasn't available to her employees and she creates these random management positions to remove herself from her employees. She tried to hire a sales manager, a sales director, a fitness director, a social media coordinator, and she has an assistant. Turnover rate for employees is high and you're always training new people. You're asked to come in 20 minutes early and stay 15 minutes after class, but you're not paid for any of that time.

I cancelled my membership last December after 3 and a half years of membership. She told me she'd still have to bill me in January, but that would be the last bill. Here I am at the end of March, still paying for a membership at a studio I haven't attended since August of 2023.

Rachel is unreachable, unwilling, and unapologetic with respect to my situation. She opens a studio, teaches it how to walk, and then hopes the studio figures it out on its own. The Lee's Summit studio has plummeted in quality since it opened, and it's sad to say I won't ever return.

I signed up to get information and they have called me and left voicemails DAILY for 7 days despite finally asking to be taken off the call list. I was interested in trying their classes because I enjoy Barre but their aggressiveness in marketing has turned me away from their business.

My friend had told me about Pure Barre and how in love with the classes she was - she introduced me and it hasn’t disappointed! The Lee’s Summit space specifically is open and clean, and the staff at the front desk is extremely helpful. This extends to the members at this location - everyone is discussing class after and it’s a great community. Plus, the have new client deals that are a great way to get started!

I am a 600 hour certified Pilates instructor who is also trained in Barre, and I’m very impressed with the class formatting and options they provide the classes. The instructor I had this last class was Hannah who was perfectly hands on; provided physical adjustments, shout outs to members, and encouraged everyone the entire time. She also used great tone fluctuation in class to help command the energy in the room.

Their class options offer anywhere from classic barre, strength training, to cardio. Pure Barre Lee’s Summit lives up to the hype!

This group exercise follows a format with instructors who are caring, fun and ensure the body is positioned correctly to avoid injury. I sweat from my head to ankles every session, push myself to do better every class and end each class on an endorphin high. The staff are the most positive, supportive that I've ever encountered in the fitness world. I'm a big woman at 277 lbs, and they treat me well like they treat everyone who walks through their doors. Fellow exercisers follow this example and are friendly, too. I drive from the north of Raytown to get to what has now become the highlight of my weekly weight loss.

Pure Barre is an exceptional way to strengthen and build some muscle. The staff is SUPER HELPFUL and engaging, always welcoming. I love that there is not a HIGH turnover in staff, and they work to know everyone. I started Pure Barre because I needed something low impact to help me get in shape (after COVID) I stay because I have developed friends (in the 7:00 am class) and support to press on. BEST testimony, after doing Pure Barre for about 5 months, I visited grandkids in Vermont in January. My grand-daughters said "let's go sledding Grammy." I was concerned about going down a bumpy hill, climbing back up, getting in and out of the sled...BUT, I did it all without any problem. I even pulled my 3-year old grand-daughter UP the hill because she didn't want to walk. I attribute my abilities to Pure Barre. Now I can do the splits with my 7-year old grand-daughter...

Staff is great and energetic but it’s just not worth what they say it is. Variety of exercises is limited. Poor communication on the cancellation process. Wasn’t explained that to cancel you have to pay a cancellation fee which is the amount of the classes. Building is very clean and well kept tho

This place has definitely helped me find and keep a motivated groove in getting in shape and toned. Right next to the Cyclebar...! The ladies are awesome here and the classes are..let's say your monies worth is definitely used well here for the 50 minutes. It's real and intense. The instructors find those hidden muscles and fine tunes them to til you shake and shiver...the energy is great, you work on your level so mo need to feel obligated to be 100 when your 36.5! I look so forward and I'm encouraged every visit to do me or go Xtra. Pure Barre baby it's a place to be. Get here!

Very welcoming environment until you decide to cancel your membership. Nothing welcoming about their process nor their willingness to offer options on canceling. I text them and then they call me to discuss what I just spelled out in a text. I really enjoyed the classes until I had to have surgery.

I signed up for a 3 month membership. I had surgery during Month 2. They put my membership on hold. Once I had recovered I agreed to pay for the last month on my contract. Instill could not get motivated to go back so I contacted them to cancel because $165 is a lot to pay for nothing. When I signed up they were calling and and following up, Making sure I was good and getting to classes. This was a part of what encouraged me join the club because one of the ladies let me know that this was a small knit community and that check up on members regularly. Where is this energy now? . Also, When I signed up, I lived near the club. Now I don't and am disappointed that I cannot cancel a simple membership without going thru unnecessary hoops.

Where is the customer service department for members who want to cancel? With technology , docusign, snail mail, I'm sure there is another option to offer members who want to cancel and who cannot get back to that location. Very disappointed that I had to use my time to write an unfavorable review for a company who obviously did not care for my future business hence making it difficult to cancel. I do not understand.. but I guess I do.

I will start by saying that I did enjoy the classes. However, my issue is with the fact that when I reached out to cancel I was informed that I would have to come into the studio. I found this surprising based on the fact that I was able to sign up via phone and sign forms via email to join. I let them know that I found this ridiculous since I didn’t join by coming in. They said that their policy had just recently changed. Surprise! Since my friend just cancelled via email the month before. When I was doing this it was a 30 day notice. Finally they gave me the paperwork I clearly put on there that I would not pay another month membership fee after July’s payment. Not one person communicated with me from their staff to say it would be an issue. End of July rolls around and they are charging me again. I reach out and basically get too bad that’s the policy. Buyer beware because cancelling with them is a nightmare! I have never ran into so many issues with a company.

I love my time “back at the barre”. I usually attend early morning classes led by Katie and Bailey, who are auhmazing; but I recently branched out and found all instructors are equally amazing. If you want a great workout for all fitness levels, visit Pure Barre Lees Summit. You won’t be disappointed! Small movements with big results and very welcoming atmosphere!

I started as a member out in OP and was ECSTATIC when I found out it was opening out here in LS! I love how all the instructors make you feel like more than a client! There isn’t anything fake about them! Some gyms you go in and the employees make you feel like just another paying client, at Pure Barre Lees Summit you’re more to them and they make you feel empowered and so much more!
I’ve always been awkward in making friends and these ladies and others I workout with, make me feel like a friend! I’d definitely go out for drinks with them too!
If you’re hesitant in joining, make the leap and DO IT!! You’ll be glad you did! Your mind and body will thank you!!

If someone is thinking of making the leap to join Pure Barre without a doubt I say, do it! It’s such a wonderful community of people and the changes you’ll notice in yourself are so worth it. An hour a few times a week will dramatically increase your strength and flexibility, along with so many other benefits. This workout is so different than anything I’ve done before and I love it so much. Even more than that though, the LS location feels like home to me, all the staff members are so welcoming and really care about you. It’s the best!
