Awesome, clean, space, and everyone is super friendly there. Unlike most fitness gyms, where none of the trainers smile and act like they're better than everyone else. I seriously feel super comfortable training here and even though it's not right around the corner from my home, it's well worth the drive. If you're a female, looking to get in shape and become more confident in your own skin, I highly recommend you see trainer Sarah! 👌 You won't be disappointed.

Sophie is the best! She took me on as a nervous newbie, and made me feel super comfortable and safe. She's helped me with achieving my goals and made me grow in my confidence. I’ve been coming to this gym for 3 years, I love it here. Everyone from the trainers to the clients are all so friendly, and it’s a great community. It’s always clean. The privacy of this gym is excellent for beginners or someone who is not sure what they are doing. I personally was intimidated by gyms, and because of coming here I’ve been able to hit significant goals of mine weight loss and strength wise. I’ve also met some of my closest friends here as a bonus.
If you’re looking for a gym community that will push you to be your best, you won’t regret coming here.

I have been looking for a personal trainer worth their salt for over 15 years and finally found Matt Cantrell of Cantrell Coaching STL out of Relentless Fitness.
As excited as I am to talk about Matt's professionalism, knowledge, and empathic nature sadly I do not live in St. Louis. For eight weeks I was a resident in STL due to my son being born and having to stay in the NICU. During this time I was able to get in six sessions with Matt and worth every penny.
Bottomline, if I was overly wealthy I would hire him at an annual rate and never look back...not only was Matt killing it in the gym he also made sure to check on my entire family throughout the entire time we were living out of a hospital.
If you live in STL or the surrounding areas - do yourself a favor - call and ask for Matt Cantrell!

Relentless Fitness (RF) is an amazing studio to train at! My own trainer (Lil) is great, but all of the trainers I’ve interacted with (or seen with clients) are knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about what they do. I don’t think you could go wrong. Read their profiles and go with your gut, then reach out to the trainer you think is a fit. If you’re unsure, give it a try and I’m sure anyone would recommended a colleague if it were truly a better fit. RF is that type of collaborative space.
Being able to train in a private studio, without all of the added people of a big box gym is a nice benefit too. There is plenty of equipment for the number of people typically training. The trainers and trainees collaborate well to share equipment or rotate around, when there happens to be two people needing the same equipment.
If you’re questioning your fitness journey, just lean in! Having joined RF about 10 weeks ago, my only regret is that I debated it for 2 months before starting, and I could be deeper into my journey. Don’t be intimidated by the “gym” idea if you’re new, and don’t feel as though you can’t get enough from a place like this if you’re experienced. There really is a place for everyone, which makes me love RF even more!

@Matt Cantrell is an absolute gem. I worked with him in 2019 before he moved to Colorado and was THRILLED that he moved back and I could work with him again. I drive from Florissant each week in order to meet with him. His background in physical therapy, and his history have made him a perfect trainer. He understands why I do what I do, and he helps me think through all the things that makes someone "healthy" - not just working out. He watches movements and ensures that I'm learning the correct form and posture so that I don't get hurt. He doesn't let me give up because my brain tells me to - he always knows when my body can give more. He's also SO personable and friendly and he gets along well with everyone, but when we're on the clock, I feel like my fitness is the only thing that matters to him. He's really a gift to the industry.
The gym itself is also wonderful. Huge windows that allow lots of light in and make it feel open and airy. Tons of equipment - I never feel like I have to wait for a machine. And everything is clean and doesn't smell like a typical gym. :) The bathrooms are stocked with lots of products that you may need to be able to work out over lunch and head right back to work.

Training at this gym is great. There is a good vibe inside, and I really trust working with my trainer Matt Cantrell. He has been helping me to improve my posture. He's also addressing the areas that are imbalanced and literally retraining my body to be strong and limber. I'm playing the long game in life (hopefully) and want to feel as young as possible as I age. Thanks to Matt's training and eye for detail, I know I'm on the right road to keep reaching my goals and setting news ones.

Matt Cantrell trainer - I am an almost 60-year-old women with balance and mobility issues. I was referred to Matt by a friend, I was hesitant to say the least. After months of convincing, I made a consultation appointment. Matt was professional and confident that he could help me and all my issues. To be honest, I sat in my car for 20 minutes before my consult, trying to talk myself out of going. Fast forward to today, I have been working out with Matt for a little over 6 months. He has helped me be more flexible, stable, and stronger. When we started this journey together Matt got more of a workout than I did, my range of motion was pretty much nonexistent. Matt has helped me move to being able to get up and down off the ground independently, I have gained range of motion in my knees and hips. I am now able to work out almost like a normal person. Matt is constantly updating my workouts to make sure I do not injure myself. I can honestly say that I have tried personal training before and always lasted a week, the trainer would just tell me what machines to use and how many reps to do and at what weight. I quit within 2 weeks, just not feeling supported and heard. Matt tailors his workouts to the needs of his clients. If you are even considering personal training, or just someone to help make sure you are taking the correct steps in your workout, I highly recommend contacting Matt Cantrell, you will not be sorry. I thank my friend every day for convincing me to take a chance.

Training with Matt Cantrell for over a year has made an incredible difference in not only my appearance, but also my confidence in myself. The people here are just awesome. It truly feels like a judgement-free zone, where the atmosphere is super positive, and everyone makes you feel like family. I started seeing Josh for personal training about 6 months ago. I was initially worried about returning to the gym due to covid. However, Josh and his team of trainers go the extra mile to keep everyone safe. Starting a personal training program has been life changing. I've worked with Josh from Relentless Fitness for over 4 years and don't see that changing. He's not only incredibly talented and knowledgeable about how to build functional strength based on your specific needs and how to build the right nutrition plan to support those needs, but he's a really great person. He's uplifting, funny, supportive and goes out of his way to keep you going and make sure you feel like you have what you need to be successful. If we come up on a challenge we haven't worked through before, he researches the best way to overcome it safely. He's always learning and expanding his skill set, which only benefits his clients. We've achieved so much in four years and are on our way to my biggest goal yet - a full Ironman. I know with his support I can get there!

Josh Houseman and the trainers of Relentless Fitness are a great group of people. I was never an athlete, but they have all become a great support system, along with the ladies I workout there with, to live a healthier lifestyle and work towards being a better me. If you would have asked me 5 years ago if I would physically be able to lift weights and run races, I would have probably laughed, but these trainers really bring out the strength you don't know you have inside you.
