First experience was not good at all. You would think for a place that works with autistic children their waiting room would be different or at least have different options. If a parent is struggling with their child you would think they would offer them somewhere more private to wait, not hand them a clipboard with info to fill out and then literally ask them every question again from the paperwork once you were back for the assessment. The evaluator was a bit rude as well. In her office, she tells my severe autistic child he can only get out one toy at a time during the eval and he must ask for it. Which would be fine…however, he is incapable of asking! That is the reason we are there for the eval for an assistive device for communication. .

I just spent 8 weeks in outpatient physical therapy with Jennifer, Gwen and Amy. These are smart, caring women whose knowledge of how to help you recover is amazing. I had my hip replaced and after 8 weeks I’m amazed at what I can do thanks to these women. I also have a plan forward to continue to improve.

I hit the Healthplex several times a week. The indoor track sure beats the mall and there are so many machines I expect there is one that will work on any part part, however small. I seldom have to wait to get on the ones I use. There is also nice break room with hot coffee and tea. It's a good place to wind down after.
In addition to a gym, the Healthplex seems to do a lot of physical therapy or rehab, so it's not a much of a sports jock place. Even being decades past my own prime, I usually find I am not slowest, weakest, fattest or oldest person on the track. Instead of feeling inadequate, I end up counting my blessings.
The reason only gave four stars is that they tend to close-up an EXTRA day on holiday weekends (a bit more than you would expect in a place that serves customers during the customer's leisure time). I know--employees need time off--but that's my take.
