I have worked with Shelby for awhile now. I have issues with pain in my back and knees and Shelby is able to work miracles. She is so understanding and changes my routine to get me a great work out that does not cause me more pain. Shelby is amazing and one of the best decisions I ever made!

Shelby is extremely knowledgeable, patient, supportive, and strong! As someone who never really exercised previously, and definitely never did any strength training, I was nervous about working with a personal trainer. With her coaching, I’m now less stiff, I have more energy, I feel more happy and less stressed (totally unexpected!), and I’ve seen steady improvement in how much I can lift. My anxious nerves disappeared almost instantly. I’ve been training for nearly 5 months, and I look forward to every session!
Also, after only two months of training, my blood pressure dropped by ~20 points (both sys. and dia.), and my CRP dropped by .8 (another totally unexpected result). Training with Shelby has been one of the best choices I’ve ever made!

I found Shelby after moving to the area and looking for a new trainer that had experience and knowledge in strength training for women specifically. I had been weightlifting for a year or so, but Shelby expertly assessed my abilities and has been able to push me, trying new movements and correcting my form and technique, and I’ve seen huge gains under her supervision. She’s thoughtful and works with you at the level you’re physically and mentally ready for, but also finds ways to urge you to the next step for your goals.

I started working with Shelby at SK Strength Training in November of 2023. I was looking for someone specifically to help with building muscle - I did not want another HIIT class! I’ve worked out all of my life, but I’ve still learned so much, and I’m incredibly thankful for Shelby’s attention to detail and form. I have a low back injury that affects my knees sometimes, and she is ALWAYS checking in with me on those things; making sure I’m using correct form, and as a result, the aches and pains I usually have after working out have been minimal. I’ve seen my upper body transform already, and am starting to see some gains all over. Shelby is professional, and also extremely kind, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to build muscle and get into shape!
