Conveniently located at hwy55 and Meramec Bottom, this is a gem of a yoga studio. The classes are thoughtfully planned around a monthly focus and the teachers are fantastic. I’ve had classes with 90 year old women and younger women that can strike poses on their heads! Which is not expected in class lol. Instructors offer variations of poses to fit your abilities and even have classes for wheelchair bound friends. It’s a beautiful space devoid of judgement and filled with love.

I discovered this studio recently and I just love it. I have done yoga before, maybe I have been in 6+ different yoga studios and I really like this one. There are many different types of classes to choose from, teachers have a lot of knowledge and they introduce some meditation into the classes. Worth it to try!

"The accessible yoga was just that, very accessible. It was very warm, welcoming, and relaxing. I will definitely be back." I originally left this review on their page December 2018.

I have kept coming back and learning more. I have been through quite a few things that have attempted to knock me off track but knowing how important the yoga practices are at South River Yoga, I set my intentions each setback to be able to come back to my safe place to heal from the inside out.

This studio has been life changing for me. I feel calm and centering now that I've never felt before. I've learned meditation, breathwork, how to use props, and how to safely practice for my body and my ability. I now take at least 3, if not more, classes a week.

I can't say enough positive things about SRY. I tell everyone I know, including my doctors, physical therapists, and specialists about South River Yoga. They have seen the healing first hand.

Open your mind to yoga. There is a practice there for ALL BODIES AND ALL ABILITIES!

It has been a wonderful experience since day one, May 1 2022. Environment is welcoming and conducive to wellness and growth. South River Yoga has become a home away from home. Inviting, inspirational and inclusive. A real sense of community! A fun and safe space to learn yoga. So many classes to explore. Lots of room for growth. The class descriptions allow for a good fit for beginners and seasoned yogis alike. The instructors are so knowledgeable and caring. They address not just movement and poses but the entire mind and body connection. I could not be happier with my experience!

There is little I can say that hasn’t already been said about South River Yoga. The staff is amazing, and the community (yes, community!) is extremely welcoming. I have been doing yoga for years on my own and wanted to try the class setting as a way to deepen my understanding of the practice. Needless to say, I’ve been going almost every day for a week and plan to continue going consistently. There are classes for every level of experience, and the teachers offer modifications for those who need them. Could not recommend more.

I love practicing at South River Yoga! The studio clean and cozy, while the teachers are warm, welcoming, and always greet you by your first name! Other studios I've attended have felt intimidating or advertise classes based on skill level, which made me feel limited on which ones I could attend as a beginner. SRY's schedule feels extremely inclusive for all skill levels and each class I've attended has offered modifications that either help give support or add something to challenge yourself. It's the first studio I've consistently attended and now I've been a member for over a year!

South River Yoga is my 2nd home! I have been practicing at SRY off and on since it first opened. But finally, after a couple of years of wanting to, I treated myself this year to an annual membership. With a hearty variety of class times and styles, I can easily make it to three or four classes a week without completely wearing myself out. If I'm not able to make it to an in-person class, I also have access to a huge library of online classes taught by SRY instructors. The studio experience is absolutely wonderful though and I almost always prefer to be there. It's a clean, modernly minimalistic space with soft lighting and beautiful woodwork throughout. It's such a warm, welcoming and relaxed environment. The SRY instructors are all skillfully trained and therefore knowledgeable in anatomy, movement, breath work, meditation and philosophy. Each does well offering modifications and introducing or integrating other useful self-care modalities. There are so many opportunities for education and growth within the wonderful community the owners Jen and Annie have created. Beyond the in-person classes and the online library, there are workshops and pop-up classes, a book club and so many other interesting ways to better understand and deeply connect to the practice. It's truly a great experience every time I get on my mat at South River Yoga!

FAMILY. I've been to various yoga studios over 15+ years of practicing yoga, and a membership at South River Yoga has been a singular experience. The community at SRY is extraordinary; you will be welcomed and cared for like family. Expect a well rounded experience here from the phenomenal teachers that lead this studio: Ayurveda, yoga philosophy, Yin yoga, to cardio flow and yoga with light weights (and more!), South River Yoga's teachers listen to the needs of the community, and continually curate diverse offerings to meet those needs. That's family!

I came to South River Yoga with a back injury from rowing and golfing. My physical therapist who works there also recommended the yoga studio to me. In over 4 months it changed my life completely. I gained an entire community of fun, caring, loving teachers and friends just like family. I have an unlimited membership and ho 7 days a week. I take anywhere from 2-4 classes a day. South River Yoga offers a large variety of classes like restorative yoga, power flows, yoga with weights, cardio yoga, meditations, workshops, book club, shopping events with yoga and vendors from all over St. Louis. The teachers have decades of training and teaching. I gave gained both physical and mental strength like when I was a dancer. I have worked hard to achieve my health goals and superseded those months ago. I cannot imagine my life without this AMAZING group of people. I invite everyone to come try it. Beth Ann Riechman

South River Yoga was a great experience after only going to a yoga class one time in my life years ago. The yoga class I went to years ago was difficult to follow and I felt out of place. A friend convinced my to try SRY. I’m happy I did. It was easy to follow and I felt great afterwards. It has convinced me that Yoga can be fun and nonjudgmental. I’m glad I tried SRY! The instructors are knowledgeable and made me feel at home!

I started my journey into Yoga in March 2021 at 56 yrs old. I have never done Yoga except for a few videos several years ago. I knew I wanted more and once I started at South RIver Yoga I never looked back.

They gave me the instruction and encouragement I was looking for. I never ever felt out of place as I learned more about the practice of Yoga and began to become stronger.

The instructors are always prepared with the help you need and alternatives to use for your body, strength and comfort level.
I have never looked forward to traditional exercise and now I can say I try and never miss my regular classes as I DO look so forward to them.

The enviroment is calm and soothing and communication is always promt and thorough. There are social media pages and regualr emails in addition to the user friendly website to keep you up to date on any changes and fun pop up classes.

South River Yoga has something for everyone day and evening.
I work full time and find plenty of classes to attend.

I really believe that Yoga has helped me physically and mentally.
I would recommend this studio to anyone who is looking to begin a journey to health & wellbeing at any experience and strength level.,

South River Yoga is more than a yoga studio, it's a community. It's great for people just looking to work on their breathing and stretch a little—going to a class or two a week will lower your stress level and make you stronger. It's also a great place when you're looking for something deeper, being a real regular will help uplift your spirit and find peace. They offer weekly classes for all skill levels, and workshops and pop-up classes focusing on different aspects of life, the body, meditation, and spirituality.

Whether you're looking for some physical activity or something spiritual you can find it here.

I have been an avid student of a South River Yoga since they opened and just finished up my 200 hour yoga teacher training there. I cannot say enough positive things about the owners Jen and Annie, the space itself, the quality of the classes and teachers… but most importantly the supportive community of yoga lovers the studio has created. It is an extremely welcoming and accepting place for beginners and yogis of all experience levels to learn about yoga and themselves. There is a great variety of classes and workshops - you’re bound to find something that’s perfect for you. Highly highly highly recommend!

They offer a wide variety of classes in a safe, non-judgmental environment. They also have a lot of great pop-up classes in addition to regular classes, which integrate not only the physical practice of yoga, but also yoga philosophy into daily living. June 30th I finished my 21 day trail. Next thing you know I've signed up for a year!
I have never really tried yoga, but was told it may help relieve some stress and anxiety.
I was very nervous, not sure what to expect. Annie was the instructor my 1st class and made me feel welcome. I had an awesome experience. All of the instructors I've had are so knowledgeable and caring.
I'm looking forward to trying different classes and learning more about yoga.
I truly am thankful I found South River Yoga.

Since joining South River Yoga, I have seen myself grow stronger and less anxious. I have also made so many new friends (teachers and fellow students) and enjoyed many calm classes and shared a few laughs as well.

The space is so beautiful and calming. The teachers are thorough and can accommodate any level of personal practice. The availability and consistency of class offerings is terrific. Each teacher brings their own unique voice to the class and it's always fun to see what new posture I will learn in every session.

The communication from the studio is quick and accurate. And, updates are made via email and social media. Couple that with fun events and pop-up classes and workshops...? I'm so happy to be a member of the SRY community.

Where do I begin?! Jen, the owner, is one of the best human beings to ever walk the land! Sally, my yoga mom, is the most gentle & caring soul & teacher extraordinaire of accessible yoga! I followed her from the VA. Spring just blessed me with a relaxing gentle yoga & singing bowls. I have also practiced with Lisa, Jane, Lisa & Marianna. I'm looking forward to meeting Annie, in person, this weekend at the park. She has already been so very helpful in our SRY facebook community page. This studio offers great pricing, a beautiful space, positive energy & caring teachers. Make this studio your home studio. You've arrived.⁸
