I absolutely LOVED taking classes at SLAC and I recommend it to my friends all the time. Everyone was so welcoming and kind and i appreciated the focus on safety and injury prevention through a solid foundation of technical skill.

I first joined and I loved it. I felt like it was a safe space, I loved the coaches, everything was amazing. I was working a lot on my own during open gym because Iβm a bit further along than the class I was in and it was my favorite part of the week. Then I met the owner. Sheβs rude and abrasive as is, sheβs terrified of Covid germs but she lets her dog scrape its butt across the floor weβre supposed to work out on. I had gotten permission from other coaches to skip a class and I was so excited. Then Alison emailed me and made liars out of the coaches. She also said I could no longer have fun at open gym, that I needed to only work on what I learned in class. This was upsetting because I know for a fact people come to open gym who donβt take classes there at all. I begged her not to make me change gyms, but she was rude and horrible to me over email. Iβll be going to bumbershoot from now on. Iβm so sad I really love Rebecca and Kelly. Too bad they have such bad ownership.

GREAT space, run beautifully by an owner who deeply cares about social justice and making a warm, inviting, safe place for all body types and skill levels. St Louis is lucky to have a place like this!! Great for aerialists at all levels or anyone who has been nervous about trying something new.

St. Louis Aerial Collective is the best place Iβve ever learned aerial arts! The instructors focus on safety and they really value artistry. They have built an amazing community of aerial students and center self expression as opposed to competitiveness. 10/10 recommend!

Love St. Louis Aerial Collective! I have been a student there since it opened, they have done an incredible job building a strong supportive community. My aerial level has fluctuated through the years and I have always felt welcomed. Classes are by level and instructors are still able to make modifications if needed so everyone can get something out of the class, there is a strong understanding that every body is different and we sometimes have to modify the way to do a skill while staying safe. I also really appreciate their emphasis on safety and that they offer a masked open gym.on Sundays.

Fantastic facility, staff is friendly, and a wide variety of apparatus were all available. They have a nifty pulley system and good mats for if you're working on some of the scarier moves. I only attended open gym, but hope to take a class or two in the near future π

I went to observe a class that my adult child attends. They've been involved in classes for a year or two, and they love it! It is a fantastic space, great location. The instructor was very engaging, and the whole vibe was super chill. It was interesting to see students of varying levels of ability working alongside and encouraging one another. Great experience as an observer, I'd recommend St. Louis Aerial Collective to any young person looking for something artistic combined with athleticism. Very circus-esque!

I just finished my first series: intro to horizontals. I absolutely adore these classes! Alison and Lindsey are great teachers, super personable and very experienced in aerials. Iβve signed up for 2 more series now because I love it so much. This is a very inclusive space and a wonderfully welcoming environment.
I really enjoyed being able to learn 3 different apparatuses to see which I like best, as this was my first experience with aerial arts. Itβs so much fun!

My husband booked SLAC for my 30th birthday and it was freaking awesome! Ambient lighting, a good sound system and of course a very talented aerialist. All of the guests had a great time and I'm pretty sure I have about 10 of my guest wanting to sign up for classes. My husband said that they were super easy to work with too! I completely recommend using this place as an event space. Its unique and sure to impress

I was stoked to hear about a new aerial studio opening up in the area, as I really wanted to take trapeze classes but my schedule doesn't usually allow for them. SLAC offers later evening classes for certain apparatuses, so that was the selling point for me! The teachers I've met are awesome! Whether you're serious about aerial, or just wanting a fun way to work out, I definitely recommend checking out this space :)
