Evan and his team are always friendly and helpful. TCE provides a welcoming gym atmosphere for all body types and fitness goals. Evan has been a positive influence on my son who regularly trains with him. He encourages his trainees to push themselves to their full potential. Dirty dirty dirty. Nastiness in the bathroom constantly. I think I would rather shower at a truck stop. After work it's full of teenagers that use the equipment to sit on and talk or ay on their phones. It's terrible to try and workout

By far the best gym around. I’ve visited several other gyms from Washington to St Louis and I can say with confidence there is none better than The Competitive Edge. Their staff and trainers are experts and very knowledgeable at what they do and are friendly to new beginners as well. They are constantly updating and upgrading their equipment, and everything is always clean and tidy. They have room for everything and theres always open equipment available even at the busiest of times. Their membership is the best value considering they have everything available for weight lifting, a full size basketball/volleyball court, a huge Field House, batting cages, sandpit for plyometric training, cardio room, and more. Not to mention their events, programs, and their support for the community and local athletes too.

It is said that God created heaven and Earth. If I didn’t know any better I would’ve thought he created this gym as well.
After talking to all the top athletes in town and possibly the world they all referred me to one gym. The Competitive Edge. I walked in the door to sign up and was greeted by the friendliest staff in the world. The kind of friendly you get when you go to your Grandma’s house and she treats you like royalty. I had also signed up for personal training sessions.
When I walked into my first session I was a bit nervous. What will my trainer be like? What am I doing here? Just nervous as can be. After a few moments a shadowy figure emerged from the office. As the figure drew closer I was relieved to see my trainer Evan. Grizzled in sweat and bull shark testosterone, he was built like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson but with a better jaw line.
As quickly as I could soil myself in the presence of his masculinity, he identified my needs and had me on a path to become more shredded than mozzarella cheese on a Chicago deep dish pizza. He executed with surgical proficiency.
Evan could’ve EASILY been a neurosurgeon, cured cancer, assembled the International Space Station, and been President of the United States of America AT THE SAME TIME, but he decided (rightfully) to be the best personal trainer and gym owner in the universe.

The gym is not clean. Sales man lied to me during sign up. I was then told later my money would not be refunded to me after being told during sign up multiple times that I wouldn’t have any issues and it would be if I decided to cancel the membership. I was then refunded the key fob and $9 and told the owner didn’t even want to do that.

Awesome staff and facilities! They are very flexible about gym membership/dues and will create a custom plan to work for you. All the equipment is well-maintained, clean, and easy to use. Love the variety and incorporation of both modern and 'old school' no frills gym routines -- allows me to get in a full body intensive workout every time I go.
