So my son has loved to dance ever since he could walk. We’ve had a hard time finding a dance studio because even though we believe that girls and boys can do the same activities there is this stigma that dance is only for girls, so finding a studio that offers all boy classes to get the the boys introduced to dance was amazing! I am so happy we found LDG! Coach Jay is absolutely amazing! My son had only taken two classes with him and he won’t stop talking about how much fun he has had with Coach Jay! I am so happy for my son and we’re very excited for future classes!

The best studio in the Northland! The owner, staff and all the teachers are fantastic and truly care about the kids. My daughter has grown immensely as a dancer as well as a well-rounded person. We’re so grateful for this studio!

Such a fantastic atmosphere for dance classes. Primarily kids/teens with regular classes and a competition team as well. Also has a class for special needs kiddos. However, there are adult classes as well. Very welcoming staff & the kids are welcoming as well.

I enjoy the studio because it gives me a chance to hang out with friends I made there. It is a great learning environment and my favorite part about this studio is the amount of boys. They allow a wide range classes specialized for boys. It gives us boys a chance to have more bonding time with each other. We get to do our favorite thing in the world, with the people we love.

My daughter go to LDG and she’s 5, she started here a year and a half ago. We were instantly a part of the dance family. The dance teachers and the owner hace made such a big impact on my daughters life. She lives each week to go to dance class and has grown so much. We are blessed to have found such a positive studio with some amazing roll models for our daughter to look up to. The owner goes out of her way to make sure all her students are welcome, treated like family and safe. She teaches these young girls and boys self respect and does not have them up bumping and grinding on the stadge half dressed. She loves each and every child there and it shows in every child’s face. If your looking for a studio/family this is the right place.

My kiddos have been at The studio since they opened. And I am so glad this is their dance home. I have a son and a daughter who both dance here. The owner, Miss Kim, loves each kid over as her own and is protective and caring for each child’s well-being.

Costs are fantastic, costumes are modest, and the kids are taught to be overall better citizens.

My girls have been dancing at The Studio for several years, and we LOVE The Studio! They have a huge variety of classes they offer, which is fantastic, because not one style of dance suits everyone. They also offer a special needs adaptive class, which one of my daughters is in, and it is wonderful. They have student helpers, who offer support, encouragement, and friendship, and you can tell they genuinely love helping out (which makes this mama's heart happy)! Their instructors are TOP NOTCH, patient, kind, and make dancing fun for everyone (even the mom's and dad's classes!). They really have a passion for shaping young minds through dance and performance, and it shows.

My daughter Olivia has been dancing at the Studio LDG for 5 years and has always felt welcomed. She has dealt with alot of bullying issues in school and this studio is one place she feels comfortable to just be herself and enjoy her love of dance & glee. The teachers are all very talented and truly care about these kids. They offer a huge variety of classes for all skill levels. I have also taken class here with the adult class and I have had a blast. This studio truly is one big family. The owner Kim loves these kids like they are her own and it shows in how much the kids and parents love this studio!

Our family has been going to LDG for 3 years now. The impact it has had on my children is priceless. When I leave my girls at dance it is their home away from home. They say it takes a village to raise your children. I couldn’t have found a more loving and safe environment to be our village.

I have 3 dancers at The Studio. The teachers and owner are kind and patient. It’s a family studio, not only are you treated like family but there’s classes and activities to involve everyone. The owner is actively involved in every child, whether they are in her class or not. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows your name and greets you when you come in and you’re missed when you aren’t there.

My youngest is in her 3rd year at The Studio ldg. I have a older daughter who took dance for years. Believe me when I say we have tried almost every Studio in town and never felt the love, the encouragement, keeping class sizes small.....even if that means losing money. They definitely put the kids first and truly want them to be not only the best in their talents but the best in “life”. Respect, kindness and confidence. When they say #onefamily it’s not just a phrase they throw around. They live it and not just during studio hours....24/7.

My family has been coming to The Studio for two years now.
When we started from the get go Ms. KIm found a spot for my daughter and welcomed her late in the season. From there I knew we had picked the right studio.
We love how family oriented they are. I love the fact that the makeup and costumes are age appropriate and modest. The whole studio puts out nothing but positive vibes even on your worst day. It’s awesome to hear from my beginner child that if she felt she didn’t do her best that her instructors were positive and encouraged her not to give up.
Wonderful place to be at and they truly care about each student.

For the comment from Allison’s Life regarding the motorcycle incident, I was present that day and appreciate that the owner cared about the safety of the students as well as the vehicles. I do not understand why two motorcycles parked in front of another business to go eat next door. We do have very inquisitive kids who would have loved to look at the bikes and the owner would have been at fault if anything happened to them.

Did the owner become upset, yes she was upset that not only someone parked on the sidewalk in front of her building where it not only made it difficult for students to come and leave the studio but for patrons of the restaurant as we well. It was very disrespectful and the bikers were also rude by cranking up the motors of their bike very loudly in front of the building. They only left when the police (who happened to be in the area)came through.

This is the exact reason my kids enjoy coming here because they know they have the owner, teachers and coaches who truly care for them. They all have laughed, cried, supported and rejoiced not only with the kids but the parents as well. The owner wants the teachers and office staff to get to know the students and parents.

I truly appreciate the love the owner has for tackling tough topics such as bullying for her more than 70 boys who attend the studio and for male dancers in the community. The owner held a workshop for males dancers to discuss bullying which was very enlightening for the many boys who attended.

There are so many other reasons why we enjoy the studio but my primary reason i continue to bring my kids each year is due to the love the owner and other teachers have for my kids and me as well.

My girls have been attending the studio for three seasons now my girls are only taught appropriate dance moves and wear cute kid costumes. No racy dance moves or clothes which is so common in this world. The teachers are kind and patient and take a personal interest in every child. My kids have never been just a number. The owner herself sees that each child is placed in the right class based off skill and knowledge. Class sizes are perfect and not stuffed to the brim with kids. Plus, each teacher has an assistant so the kids always get great instruction and are never just left to fail because someone is too busy. My kids have learned so much in three years and not just dance. They have learned dedication, friendship, and we have gained family.

The owner will treat your kids like they are her family. She'll cry with them, laugh with them, and push them to shine, her staff is the same and it's truly amazing. Their choreography is modest, yet outgoing and challenging for the dancers. Classes are fun and serious, somehow, simultaneously. Your dancer will come home with sore muscles and eager to go back. If you want your child to grow as a dancer and a human, this is the place. Everyone is inclusive, no one gets left behind here. My own short time spent here was a blessing, give the studio a chance, and you'll never take your kiddos anywhere else!

The owner appeared to be EXTREMELY dramatic and rude putting her students and parents in a stressful environment.
Last night our family was waiting in line for Taco Tuesday (next door to “The Studio”) when two motorcycles parked neatly on the sidewalk next to a pillar (the parking lot was chaotic and full, it appeared they were trying to save parking for the many cars congesting the parking lot).
The owner of “The studio” came out complaining about the motorcycles, declaring how unacceptable and dangerous it was to be parked there and she wanted them removed. She involved her studio kids, parents, and even the patrons next door at the Rancho Grande.
One of the owners of the motorcycles came out and was verbally bombarded by this lady, as she declared how unacceptable and dangerous this was, yelling at him telling him he had to move them and move them now and she “was standing guarding the kids from getting hurt by the mororcycles, if one were to fall over on them!!!” The owner of the mororcyle calmly explained that he would be happy to move the motorcycles and there was no need to scream and yell in feont of all these people and the kids standing at the door listening to it all. She didnt stop there, she told him “THE POLICE HAVE BEEN CALLED!” - The owner of the motorcycle walked away trying to avoid confrontation with this crazy lady, one of the the other bystanders told her she needs to maybe not worry about it and teach kids not to touch whats not theirs.
SHE TOOK IT A STEP FURTHER, when the police came and interupted the motorcycle owners dinner with what appeared to be his family and kids ((7 people at his table) they apologized and explained to the “crazy lady next door” its not illegal and the bikes were parked safely on private property, she insisted that the police still come and make him move them, he was nice to the police and offered to move them, the police appeared very embarrased for this guy the patrons of rancho grande and her students and apologetic for this crazy drama queen.
When the guy went out to move the motorcycles there were two tow trucks the lady called and the police told them they can not two them and the gentlman was moving the bikes anyway to passify this lady, by this time the parking lot had cleared out. All of her studio kids were pearing out the window and watching frim the open doors.
I would never take my kid somewhere that they are going to be brought into so much unnecessary drama its like she wanted validation from her parents and students, what a horrible situation of such a small detail.

Please disregard the Sarah Runyon comments. This is a fantastic studio and theirs boys program is top notch. Sadly this is a friend of the ex wife of the studios owner's boyfriend that tried to cause drama at this particular competition. Those boys did nothing. Adults, including Sarah, harassed and tried to intimidate a studio owner while she was focused on her kids. The Studio LDG is a great place to take your kids and are constantly given positive feedback from competitions about how kind and respectful their kids are. It's petty and pathetic that a jealous ex wife gets her friends to behave like adult bullies.

After recently running into this studio at a competition, I am appalled at the way they carried themselves!! Sending your boy dancers to intimidate other boy dancers all morning, is NOT ok!! Harassment so bad, her dancers were following a particular boy everywhere, even waiting outside the dressing room! No studio owner should allow this, let alone promote it! I am sad that there are educators out there displaying this type of behavior and, in turn, teaching her staff, dancers, and studio parents to do the same. If you're looking for a professional and welcoming studio, this is definitely not one I would recommend, and that's after just seeing competition behavior. We should always encourage ALL dancers to do their best!
