Pretty decent atmosphere although it’s super quiet. Kind of weird quiet. The size is OK the amount of equipment is OK. You’re not gonna be impressed by anything but it’s just a decent little gym. I don’t think this is the place for cross fitters or serious body builders. But for the average Joe there’s nothing to complain about. They take care of the place and there’s everything you need.

Was a member for over a year but for the last couple of months vechiles kept getting broken into. One evening it was 4 vechiles all broken windows mine included. Instead of letting us see the video the owner refused to let see video. And didnt even make contact to her members that had the windows broken. I recommend a diffrent gym . One that backs there community and members. We all are tired of the break ins. And we just want to see what white ford truck is doing it

This gym is god sent. Not many gyms out there in KC where they have a dark colored walls with art of the muscle anatomy. This gym has new stairmaster and treadmills which is a plus but another thing I love about this place are the free weights and racks. They have wear and tear and you may ask yourself " Why is that a good thing?" Well you know they are legit af and if you are truly there for the gains, you dont give a flip. People are down to Earth and it's a judgment free zone. Get in there and get it done.

Hands down one of the best gyms I've been too! The staff is the best; Pat, Pete and Lee were always helpful and welcoming. No one is pushing you to get a trainer, no contract, and its clean. What more can you possible ask for? They have the most squat racks at the river market location and the vibe is pretty much everyone wants to have a good workout! I'll miss this place once I move so much.

Busy during the peak hours, but I'm a morning guy and there is always plenty of room. Multiple weightlifting cages for squat and bench. Lots of machines that I've never seen. I'm mostly squat, deadlift, and bench guy and this place works for me. Bonus - its pretty clean at all times.

GYMkc doesn't have a laundry list of fancy amenities, but they have all the equipment you might want, and it's clean and well maintained. The crowd at the gym is also generally super friendly.

Treats its members well. I only come into town every once in a while, but they are great about renewing and cancelling my membership for a good price and duration. Never have to wait for machines, people are generally nice and don't bother you when you're lifting.

All in all I like this location because it's accessible on my way and going home from work. Spacious with a lot of options. However, some of the machines didn't work. There was plenty staff on hand to say "hey, this is out of order or let me get you to a working one". It is what it is. Still enjoy the atmosphere, quiet, clean and cool

I've been going here a long time, so I may be a little biased. It's not the small group thing that some people need (although classes are included in your fee), and it's not a GloboGym. It's right in the middle. It's comfortable and inclusive. All types of people and fitness ideas in a single place. I love it.

Size/Crowd:
This is a big deal for me. I'm easily annoyed with crowded gyms, however theGYMkc River Market location occupies a large shipping warehouse that provides enough room and space to get your workout in comfortably. Even during peak hours, it rarely feels like there's actually a "crowd".

Staff:
The friendliest gym staff imaginable. Always greeted with a warm welcome and encouraging smile. The personal trainers are fantastic and always willing to talk shop/provide sound advice regardless of whether you're their client or not. Simply put: they're passionate about helping people reach their goals and it shows by their often-returning clientele.

Membership/Amenities:
Single memberships run $40/month, couples run $60/month. I happily pay for the $40 a month considering the benefits of having 3 close locations, private restrooms/showers and 24hr access. Pair that with an all around great experience and the price becomes totally justified.
