Xtra Mile Fitness is a fitness community built from expert coaching, and people that truly
care about their fellow athletes. We have athletes as young as 7 and as old as
70, who all excel at working towards their goals in our programs.

I found XM through a google search looking for CrossFit gyms. I had no experience with CrossFit before, so having a welcoming experience in the beginning meant a lot to me. All the coaches are so down to earth, knowledgeable, and want to be involved in my health and fitness journey. I don’t feel intimidated walking into class, only encouraged and inspired. If you’re even considering dipping your toes into the CrossFit culture, you should definitely come by this gym!

We LOVE XtraMile Fitness. The gym is great (very clean), the workouts are challenging but “scale-able,” and the coaches are really friendly. I’ve been to several CF gyms where you feel like the coaches are critiquing your form the entire time, but the XM Fitness coaches are wonderful about providing just enough feedback and a lot of encouragement.

From the moment you step through the doors, Corey and his exceptional team make you feel like part of the gym family. During my initial on-ramps, I was filled with nerves and uncertainty, but those feelings vanished instantly. Corey and his team had meticulously prepared for my first day, and I was warmly welcomed by multiple staff and gym members who guided me through the ins and outs of the class. They genuinely cared about me and my presence there. The hardest part of joining a gym is taking that first step inside, but once you do, the Xtra Mile community will have you hooked and coming back for more!

Doesn’t get better than this place! I’ve tried a few gyms like Burn, Lifetime, and personal training. When I found XtraMile I had never done CrossFit before. Now I’m addicted!

I am new to this fitness center. Without mentioning my age, I will say that just because I am older and have had cancer, doesn’t mean that I should give up on strength and training. I have never. I had a cycling accident which placed a roadblock on my fitness routine for about 3 months, so I lost muscle mass. I have a background in health care so I know maintaining muscle mass and our immune system go hand in hand. The combination of age with history of chemo & radiation therapy have placed me in a very high risk category for osteoporosis, so maintaining my bone density is also a priority. The staff is well educated and will develop an individual plan for your needs. There are also group classes available. I am very impressed with the education level, professionalism and patience of staff. The atmosphere is very supportive and there is a wide range of fitness level. I do not feel like I am in a gym where I need to wear makeup and a push-up bra to “fit in.” Very refreshing and goal directed environment. Cost is a little higher but you get what you pay for and what cost is too high for your health? HIGHLY recommend!

Absolutely wonderful Gym! If you attend consistently, you will see results--quickly! In addition, the gym is very clean, up-to-date, and has a plethora of top notch equipment. The coaches are also well trained and kind, no judgment or pressure at all. The same goes for the other athletes. Intimidation is not part of the culture and there are always events and activities that are not solely focused on working out, but on building a healthy community.

I have been to MANY different CrossFit and group fitness gyms and Xtra Mile is by far the best. They are the best for a couple reasons:

1. Their coaches are so knowledgeable and helpful during every workout. I feel strongly that I will never get injured at this gym under their supervision.
2. Their equipment is absolutely top notch. They do not cut corners on workout equipment.
3. They have the cleanest facility possible. I have never visited their gym and felt dirty or like they do not take amazing care of their things.

A few months ago I decided I wanted to get serious about my health and exercise more. I've tried a traditional gym for a few weeks before but never stuck with it. I've never felt comfortable in the setting, and frankly, it's intimidating when you don't know what you're doing. Also, it's difficult to maintain self-motivation with a traditional gym membership. After starting me search, I went to a few gyms in the area that had more of a group setting and I found XM Fitness to be the most welcoming and supportive community.

The coaches really care about your journey and want to help you succeed. The other members are friendly with a great team mentality and cheer you on if you need an extra push.

In addition to everyday workouts, the gym also holds a lot of extra activities which builds a stronger bond between everyone as well. So, if you are looking for a place to build stamina and strength within a great atmosphere- XM should be on the list to check out!

Xtra Mile Fitness has been even better than the high expectations I had going in. My son started working out there 9 years ago when he was 13. He still goes every morning from 6:30 - 7:30, and he loves it. I'm 61 and I realized that if I want to be healthy and strong in my 60s, 70s, and 80s, I had to get serious. I haven't been in a weight room since 1984 when I played college soccer. So I'm a complete newbie. I started there 7 weeks ago. I asked Corey Lewis if I could work with a trainer one-on-one. He assigned me to Chelsey McMichael as my coach. She is a former collegiate national champion in weight lifting and has served as the Strength and Conditioning coach for college football teams. She has been ideal for me. She has created programs for where I'm at, explains every detail of how to do lifts and exercises properly, and has steadily increased them each week. The sessions have been outstanding. I feel stronger throughout my entire body. I train at Xtra Mile Fitness 3-4 times a week. And the other people who work out there have been fantastic. Many of them are in incredible shape, but there are also people like me who are simply trying to get stronger and healthier. They are all positive and supportive of each other. Everyone is friendly there starting with Corey Lewis who is always positive and friendly. Ezra Orde and Christa Sawyer have also been extremely helpful. I give Xtra Mile Fitness the highest recommendation that I can give.

As a member of this facility for almost 6 years, I can say with confidence that one of the best decisions I've ever made was joining this gym. The coaches are top notch and the members are so welcoming and positive. It can be scary stepping into unfamiliar territory, but I've never felt intimidated. They offer programs for any skill level. I just recently completed a 6-week program call Powerful Progress. This challenge is built for everyone, regardless of experience. I've counted macros, tried dieting, you name it. Just finished the Powerful Progress 6-week nutrition camp and I have to say I will be implementing the things I’ve learned for the rest of my life. The program is built to give the person a foundation of basic nutritional concepts that they can then use to make healthier smarter choices everyday. Healthy choices like water intake, veggies with meals, different sources of protein, sleep. All these factor into being the healthiest, best version of yourself. Along with the program I got an app that gave me daily reminders for my tasks. The app also kept me in touch with my coach for the six weeks. As someone who’s tried literally every fad diet out there this six weeks has been the MOST education on how to build healthy eating habits.

I have been a member at Xtra Mile for 6 years. When I first started I knew nothing about CrossFit or knew anyone there. The coaches at Xtra Mile are the best. They care about your success at the gym but also outside of the gym as well. They make each class fun and help you along the way to achieve your fitness goals.
Besides the coaches the people that comes to Xtra Mile makes you feel at home. They are a community and everyone is working together for the same reason and that is to make a better version of yourself. Everyone is so welcoming from day one and will help and guide you if your lost at any point of the class.
Last but not least the owner Corey Lewis is a fantastic owner and leader of the gym. He’s very knowledgeable in the CrossFit world and wants nothing but the best for everyone. This includes up to date equipment and also making sure everyone is staying safe during these times of covid.

Xtra Mile Fitness is a top notch facility being run by those that have a true passion for helping others. The coaches are professional and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of fitness. The workouts are a great mix of weightlifting, cardio and gymnastics type skills. The facility itself is organized and clean. Equipment is wiped down after each use and the coaches clean the floors after every class.
I can truly say that you will enjoy the people, coaches and atmosphere when you come to Xtra Mile Fitness.

I have been at XM Fitness for over four and a half years. I love how very supportive the coaches and all of the other athletes are. They are as happy for me for reaching a new goal as I am with myself, which is so encouraging, and keeps me going! I have improved my health and fitness in so many ways. I have never known of such a wonderful, accepting community as I have found here. Lifetime friendships that I never imagined. This is the most consistent I have ever been with my fitness, and I believe it has everything to do with the supportive community Corey and the rest of the coaches have built XM Fitness around.

This gym is great! I tried it out on a random Monday Afternoon and have been here ever since (2 years). The variety of workouts is fantastic and keeps the boredom from setting in. The facility is clean, well maintained and spacious. The coaches are the best around. Everyone brings a positive vibe and it’s a great atmosphere. Give it a try, it’s worth it.

I love this CrossFit gym so much!!! They were the only CrossFit that had free childcare which was perfect since I was ready to lose the baby weight and get back into pre pregnancy shape.

I also love all the events they host throughout the year as well. This CrossFit has become so much more than just a place where I workout. It’s become my community and family as well.

Plus I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been and I feel so strong and fit!!!

CrossFit Xtra Mile stands out from every other gym I’ve ever visited in St. Louis, and it does this for all the right reasons. It’s clean, the programming is safe, the gym is state-of-the-art, but mostly the coaches truly have a passion for helping other people, and this is because the owner is an incredible human being who values his community above anything else throughout his business. I'm not sure where to start with this gym. I came into Xtra Mile with only a weight lifting background. I didn't know anything about crossfit. And EVERYONE here and I mean everyone made me feel so welcome. The trainers are the absolute best and the owner is probably The nicest person you will ever meet. I've come here with my mom and no one even batted an eye that she was older than some of the others. I love this place. I have no desire to ever go to any other Box gym every again. I hope they stay open for a very long time. Now, if only they had a 4:30am class! (wink wink) :)

It was awesome!! I love that they took you through a proper warm up, broke down the skill of the day & how to modify if needed before the workout! I've been to a couple boxes before where the warmup is on you & at your class time you just jump in - which can be pretty intimidating (and dangerous) if you're new to crossfit. The coaches we're present & encouraging during the entire class. Programming was definitely challenging but again, scaleable. I will definitely be back! Thanks Sean!!

Unique place here as I learn the dynamic of the staff. You've got a place that offers a coach for whatever stage in life you are in.
1) You've got a head coach on his own nutrition journey wrapped up with the joys and struggles of owning a business.
2) You've got a strength coach that is a national champion who has programming that is unparalleled. He sees the minor fixes that turn into major gains.
3) you've got a competitors coach who is battling challenges of getting over the hump with strength and weight gain.
4) you've got a mobility coach who is an expert in her field and works magic on the members
5) you've got a coach who is focused on the members having a good time and she herself is going through the hoops of becoming a competitive athlete
6) you've got some part time coaches who are nurses and firefighters that are here just for a break and fun like the 90% of members.

Everyone has someone to relate to. Weight gain, weight loss, endurance help, here to relieve stress, here to gain strength, here to compete, here to get away and have fun. And all the coaches have made their doors open. It is no secret what some of their challenges are and it is fun to see the coaches in class working on their weaknesses as well.

It is all here and classes that coordinate. A good Culture and dynamic that will fit everyone. One of a kind - Quite literally.

New to the CrossFit community and could not have picked a better place to join! The coaches at Xtra Mile are supportive, attentive, and always pushing you to do your best during the workout. For someone who knew very little about CrossFit and had not been working out, the coaches always provide guidance and help in scaling a move that works for you.
As for the facility and equipment, it is well maintained and various pieces of equipment is provided for all fitness levels.
By far though, the Xtra Mile community is the reason to join. The cheers and motivation received during each workout from fellow members is one of the best feelings. Not only is it a great feeling to cheer and push each other during the workout, but they have now become good friends. I went from barely making it to a gym once a week to consistently going 5-6 times a week at Xtra Mile.
Lastly, I could not say enough great things about the owner, Corey. He is personable, organized, professional, and always helping you to reach your goals!

Hands down the best CrossFit box in St. Louis! Massive facility, tremendous coaches, upbeat environment & a friendly group that makes you want to go back! I've been there since inception & couldn't imagine going anywhere else. While you're in a group workout, coaches give great feedback & assistance when needed. Never pressure to "overdue it" & they set the pace for all experience levels. Pricing is a bargain compared to personal training - - about $5/class for unlimited. I believe you even get a free workout if you want to give it a try. HIGHLY recommended!

Great place! Facilities have a spacious workout room with a rig in the middle of the room. Lots of open space available so even large classes wouldn't be crowded. Equipment is great quality and well kept-up. Coaches were helpful and accommodating for newbies and drop-ins alike. Regulars were all very nice and welcoming.
