About the Club

At Xtreme Gymnastics in Lee’s Summit, we’ve made it our mission to help children develop character through athletics since 2002. Our 37,500 square-foot multi-sport complex is home to a variety of instructional and competitive gymnastics programs for children of all ages. Our programs include homeschool, preschool, and toddler gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, and day camps. Our competitive programs have produced collegiate athletes and world champions! Within our facility is our Lily Pad preschool gym specially-designed for children 5 and under. In addition to our gymnastics programs, we also host birthday parties, field trips, and monthly open gyms.

We rented the space for my daughter's birthday party. It was a 10/10. Great service, clean environment and lots of fun. Highly recommend!

My grandaughter has Trista for a coach. She takes her time to explain and actually show her specific moves. She has learned so much from Extreme and is enjoying her class.

Xtreme has been such an amazing place for my entire family to go. We’ve been a part of this gym for over 10 years and it’s been a HUGE blessing in our lives. I’m so thankful for them.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. It was a good experience. I give it a mediocre rating purely on the fact that, as an active engaging parent, I was informed that ‘according to policy’ no one over the age of 16 was allowed on any of the equipment. Admittedly, I am a child at heart and would’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to test my balance on the beam, or get a few hops in on the trampoline, (in reality it would’ve meant climbing up the bounce house slide to send my younger daughter down to my wife waiting at the bottom). I fully appreciate the fact that “rules are rules,” but I would like future potential customers to be aware of this policy. We checked, retrospectively, and found that we could only see this policy AFTER we’d made our $341 reservation. Again, the staff was very friendly, but served as lifeguards of the area. I almost feel that if parents are disallowed to engage in activities, staff should potentially fill the role. We did have a good time, just not the experience I hoped it would be.

My daughter has been taking classes for awhile now and she loves it. We use the homeschool program so it's not too busy and the classes are a bit smaller. The coaches she's had have been great.

The level and lack of instruction is dissappointing. I enrolled my 3.5 yo in classes this summer and she really hasn't improved on any of the skills bc they will not correct her. The coaches are just there while they stumble through the course. My daughter went the wrong way 2x on an obstacle course and was NOT corrected. The 3rd time she ran right into a kid head on. Really upset her.
Big thing is that as an establishment, they do not understand where kids are developmentally. You can't give a group of 3 yo 5 minutes of verbal instruction and expect them to excecute said task with multiple steps. The teachers my daughter have had don't do any showing they just talk.

My boys do ninja warrior and they just love it. The coaches are amazing and I love open gym when we can just go and the boys play ($16). It's great to bring new kids as the staff is great to teach good technique.

Amazing alternative to other club sports.

Within the first 10 minutes I wanted to leave. The young instructors were confused & didn’t provide any guidance for her. She was just standing there & ended up joining a random group. The teachers were uninterested & acted like they’d rather be somewhere else. At the end they stamped the kiddos hands and joined together in a circle. My little girl was the last to get stamped & missed the group huddle before all of the kids dismissed to leave. She ran to me sobbing. She cried the whole way home & doesn’t want to ever do gymnastics again. This was her first experience & I’m livid. I wouldn’t recommend anyone bring their child here.

I was moved to tears tonight as I watched my daughter interact with her coach during the beginners class. Coach Richie is FANTASTIC! It is obvious that she loves her sport, and she loves sharing her knowledge with her students. What a blessing she is to young athletes.

Wow! After a subpar experience at another gymnastics center in town, we were blown away with the kindness, professionalism and quality of the class when arriving here! If you are looking for a mom/tot or young toddler class with structure, fun, and actual instruction with basics to start acquiring skills… this is the place for you!

You should be ashamed of yourselves. You managed to send a little kid home devastated and balling as I loaded her on the car. Good job. We showed up at 9:25 for the 9:30 sample class and checked in. The person working the counter introduced my daughter to the instructor, who told us that they would call her when the class begins. She had her remove her shoes & socks and take a seat. We did so, 20 feet away and right in the front. We sat there waiting for someone to call her for 25 minutes while one regular class after another started. No one called her, no one said anything about a sample class. The instructor never approached us or said anything else to us as I reined my daughter in for 25 minutes while she watched the other kids get to jump and play. As she was boiling over I decided to go up to the desk to see when her sample class was going to begin and was informed that she was supposed to be with the first class to start... 25 minutes ago. No one called her, as we were told that they would, and the response to the situation was that we could join the nearly finished class or we could try again next week. I get that most of the people working here are extremely young so it's easy to blame them but the fault here lies entirely with the management and their clear lack of a process for this.

We've been taking our daughter here for a few years now and are very happy with both the staff and her progress with her gymnastics. She really started to grow and expand on her skill set once we started at Xtreme. The facility itself is very well put together and clean. I definitely recommend trying it out!!

My daughters grandfather was dying and she was having a hard time juggling gymnastics so when she would miss her so called team would send her hateful messages she was eventually pushed away and after she left she continued to be bullied I’ve reached out to the owner who has yet to do anything even though I have proof i sent her the messages I am out of tons of money and they have yet to do anything . Bullying is not something to be taken lightly especially for a child that’s already struggling emotionally . Its disgusting. They are not a team at all

My daughter has been on the JO team for 6 years, and there is NO OTHER GYM that she wants to ever go to. There hasn’t ever been a situation that the coach’s and/or the gym management haven’t been able to work with us on. It sounds cliché, but Xtreme really is our second home/family.

I just noticed this was a one star (sorry about that). I began to review it but got distracted doing something else. I will admit this place took a little bit to get used too, but overall it's been good. The communication in the beginning about certain things, like the fees and such were not very clear. I understand Xtreme was switching to usag and there was some confusion on that. The last few months have been a lot better than where it began. I hope this is a learning curve for myself as well as Xtreme in starting a new program, going to usag, and the communication with parents continues to get better. My daughters like it here and I will say the last couple months have been quite a bit better than the first couple.

I have only done open gym there a couple of times and from my experience I think it’s a great and fun place but the staff could be a little nicer when enforcing rules! Also I think it’s really crazy that they don’t let us use the equipment or flip. I know it’s saftey but still if I’m gonna spend $15 I want the full package! Other than those things though I think it’s really fun.

From Mega Tots preschool gymnastics, girls gymnastics, boys gymnastics, preschool trampoline, beginner trampoline, and currently competitive trampoline. We love Xtreme. All four of our children have attended a wide variety of classes at Xtreme since 2008. My son trains with the Trampoline Team and my girls, who began in the homeschool program, moved on to train on the JO teams. It's a fun, safe and healthy environment for kids to train and an enjoyable place to work. The gym is consistently working to improve and grow the athletes and staff alike. My kids have learned how to face fears, overcome obstacles, set and achieve goals, and work hard all while having fun and growing in a positive vibe atmosphere.

I went there again a while back and those 2 girl workers there again. I was there with my friend again and we did some front flips and they said we couldn't jump there for 10 minutes. During the time we see some girls their age talking and laughing with them, so I assumed friends. The friends were doing all these crazy flips and such and all the workers said was, "Nice one" etc. It was pretty pathetic.

The place is cool you get to hang out with your friends but a worker with orange hair thought I was being smart with him over something that he is not even supposed to give out and I feel he was trying to start a fight over nothing. I might come there again it just depends if I want to deal with mess.

I think the new upgrades to the little kids area are great, except now it's not gated & my kids keep wandering out. I have two littles that like to explore. So I need an enclosed space. Saddly since it's not secure I be won't bringing my kids anymore. It's to hard to keep track of them. And #2 for place that has a great little kids area it would very beneficial for there to be a diaper changing table in the men's room.

This place is amazing!!! They have a giant variety, and for only 20 some dollars you are allowed to upstairs for the Ninja warrior equipment and downstairs for trampolines and foam pits for about 4-3 hours. I love that they have so much ninja warrior equipment because bit makes it fun and you don't get tired of it. They are only open on Friday though and that is a little down side but on that one day they have a competition and if you win it you get a pass for up and downstairs. The staff is also great because they are kind and respectful to everyone. Its overall an amazing place and I would recommend it to almost anyone!

We were doing gymnastics today for the first time in several months, we had gone to xtreme for about 4 years. My twin 6 year olds were very excited to go. We there and the teachers started having them do back bends, one of my girls didn't know how and the coach comes over shows her how, while making fun of the fact she couldn't do it and mocks the way she was doing it in front of the whole class. She starts to cry. The next thing is cartwheels, which she can't do. Instead of showing her how to do it, she basically makes fun of her and tells her to move on.
She looked at me and started crying and I pulled her out of the class. Her spirt is broken along with her heart.
This was a beginner class, not an advanced class. This was the most horrible experience for a 6 year old. This was a coach in a 6 year olds beginner class that shamed a little girl that wants to learn. It was just heartbreaking....
The staff has been very responsive and apologetic. They have offered to work one on one with my girl to help her regain her confidence. We will see what happens but I am pleased with the response.
