Edit: The people that work here must get paid on commission, it was so rude that I had already paid for classes and the woman at the front desk ignored me trying to sell float tank to someone over the phone. Then when I needed to check out I couldn’t find anyone to ring me up— they were congregating in the cafe. That’s awful.

Love the aesthetic of the general space of yoga patch. There’s a small after hours honor system cafe and a metaphysical shop!

I had a massage with Taylor last week and it was fantastic. She was so thorough and made me feel completely comfortable before, during, and after (which isn’t always easy when you’re a bare human pretzel on a table). Overall she was incredibly kind and gave the best massage. 10/10, already told a friend.

Best studio in the metro.

I was desperately searching for a yoga studio to commit to. Kansas City has some amazing studios that are great but none called to me. Then I tried out Yoga Patch and it was clear I found my home studio.

There are so many great things about this building so, strap in!
Firstly, the classes are great and accessible. There are so many time and day offerings, it would be impossible for you not to find something that works within your schedule.
The teachers here are the best of the best! I come here 4x-5x a week. I mainly flow with Briiohn. Her Mindful Flow class is my favorite class I go to. You can expect to break a sweat without feeling overwhelmed or exhausted - I can’t wait to try her Vinyasa class! My favorite is when Briiohn tells us to smile during boat pose to make it easier - she’s right.
I also go to Kate’s Mindful Flow class. She offers yes/no cards for consent to adjust you. Before Kate I had never had anyone adjust me during yoga - I tried it out and it’s 10/10. She helps you get a deeper stretch without pushing you over your edge.
Maria’s Hatha Flows are amazing!! I really love attending a class taught by the owner. Maria is a great teacher, I always enjoy the flow she leads. She has a great way of describing poses and thoughtful cues.
When I have the time, I treat myself to Jackie’s Basic Flow on Sundays. If I want to sweat but not take a hot yoga class, I let Jackie whip me into shape on Sunday. I have a lot of fun during Jackie’s class. She is so encouraging and sweet, and cracks a few jokes so the energy in the room is so light and fun and the class feels more connected to each other that way.
I haven’t tried the Aerial yoga yet, but I know that’s also highly recommended by others here. I can’t wait to try!

There’s so many parts of this building, it’s not only a Yoga studio but there’s a small cafe inside where you can mingle with your fellow flow-mates pre or post class. There’s a metaphysical shop inside where you can stock up on incense, crystals, tarot/oracle decks, yoga equipment, jewelry and even cute clothing. They have FloatingKC inside as well as a bunch of small business owners providing energy healing, massage, therapy, the list goes on.

If you made it this far in the review, I would hope I have convinced you by now. The drop in rate is accessible and the booking system is so easy. I’m so glad I found Yoga Patch.

Yoga Patch is my absolute favorite place ❤️
I practice yoga here several times a week along with using other wellness services provided such as massage therapy, the infrared sauna, the float tanks. Everyone is kind and helpful and intuitive- I am so grateful for this beautiful community space.

This is my home away from home.

This is real yoga and not the fitness yoga BS that the corporate places are selling to Americans these days.

This place is an oasis. You walk in and there’s plants everywhere. Birds are chirping. Incense is lit. Classes are starting with an intention. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive.

I hesitate even writing a review because I don’t want everyone to find out about it.

I love this place. I love this community. I’m incredibly grateful for Yoga Patch.

The Yoga Patch is more of a "hippy-dippy" yoga studio rather than a "LuluLemon" one like many of the ones I've tried in KC. It feels very welcoming and inclusive with classes for all skill levels. I go to two hot flow classes most weeks and the instructors are fantastic. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone who's new to yoga or who's experienced and looking for a relaxed environment to practice in.

Yoga patch has so many great classes to check out. I’ve been coming for years and love the hippie vibes, cozy studio spaces, and welcoming, skilled instructors. My current favorite class is Tuesday evening hot flow with Kyle. It’s great for all levels and always leaves me feeling super zen. I was feeling anxious today and his class helped calm and ground me (as I knew it would).

This space with the teachers and students is so welcoming for everyone. I started taking classes with a friend a few years ago, having been being very unflexible for my entire life and always saying that I "Don't do yoga". The teachers that I started with specialized in slow flows and meditatiive classes and helped me to feel secure in where my body should be in each pose and how to make it work for my level of flexibility. I was hooked and have been a student here for the past 4 years. I love the community in this space - you can feel it when you walk in. There are plants everywhere, multiple studios as well as a cafe and shop for fun items, pet birds that sing to you as you are in the space, and people that are real and wonderful. Maria, the owner, has created something magical here - a safe and welcoming space to be, to move, to stretch, and to breathe.

I have been practicing yoga for 10 years now and I’m beyond disappointed in this studio. Their facility and space is very spacious and natural feel with plants etc. However, their yoga classes are very basic level and hardly any teacher does or teaches advanced level poses. More importantly, I felt so much negative energy and tension in this place especially with couple of teachers who I felt were outright rude, very unwelcoming & even racists.I have lived in DC, New York, North Carolina and have especially noticed that among trainers, yoga teachers are specially the most mentally peaceful people, they are kind and they are role models by their attitude and their behavior. This is the first place I felt that their teachers have may be learnt sequences of asanas but not the real meaning/essence of yoga. They definitely have work to do on themselves before they teach others. Adios!

I just started practicing yoga and I feel so welcomed and comfortable in this space despite being a newcomer to the practice. Every instructor I've had here has been wonderful and offered lots of modifications to suit the needs of everyone in the classroom, and they've been approachable for any questions and offered supportive advice. I am so happy I found Yoga Patch to continue to grow my daily yoga practice with. I cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous space!

One of the best yoga classes I have ever taken - thanks to the consent cards teacher Kate wisely offered to opt-in to instructive touch. I hope this becomes widespread in the yoga industry and am grateful to Kate and Yoga Patch for helping lead the way.

There’s so many amazing things I could say about Yoga Patch. No matter where you’re at in your practice, the teachers and students are warm, welcoming and accepting. I always leave here feeling so full and whole. I’ve found wonderful teachers here at Yoga Patch and I’ve begun to heal in ways I no longer thought were possible for me. It’s a safe and validating environment to show up just as you are. There’s a variety of classes offered throughout the day to meet your scheduling needs, too. I highly recommend this studio. I can’t thank you enough, Yoga Patch!

Any class guided by Anna Koehler is the perfect gift to give yourself or anyone you care about and humanity at large! I participated in my first evening class with her last night and slept better than I have in months and literally woke up laughing several times!
The sincerity in her guidance is awe-striking and will change your life.
Anna has the gift of transforming the confines of a physical space into a universe of endless possibilities.
Her practice encompasses all of our senses that frequently get overlooked in western yoga practice.
The powerful healing properties in her voice alone are worth investing your time. She guides verbally, visually, energetically and physically-best adjustments ever! Her generous spirit will take your yoga practice to a deeper level and you will experience a shavasana of a lifetime.

I have been following Yoga Patch since being on Wornall. U can’t find a more caring group of like minded people in the area. I can’t say enough about how they have trudged thru the pandemic and still created a since of calm and belonging. I feel lucky to attend a safe/ social distanced/ masked class when ever I can ( and on line when I can’t). Thank you Maria!

So far so good, I have only attended one class so far but it definitely made me want to go back. I love all the plants and the whole calmness about the building and the yoga session was amazing. I plan on trying every class they have, it's an amazing way to get out of the house right now and they are very mindful of social distancing.

So 3 weeks in and still loving it. Will definitely keep going.

Best yoga class in KC on Wednesday night at yogapatch with Anna K. The room is gorgeous.... candles, a fireplace and it smells amazing. The music is fun and hits exactly on point with the movement. The combination of escaping into this gorgeous studio with an awesome instructor for relaxation while simultaneously getting an awesome workout is top notch

Yoga patch has an amazing Shangri-la feel to it. You step in and feel the positive energy.

As far as class selection goes, we are pretty much spoiled for choice. Whatever your preference, it is likely they have a quality class, usually more than one, for you to enjoy. With 3 rooms they are able to accomodate a lot of classes and people.

All of the teachers I have been to (about 8) have been extremely knowledgeable and led wonderful flows. They have classes throughout the day to fit everyone's schedules. They also have kid's yoga classes!

The hidden gem of Waldo!

I've been practicing yoga for about 15 years, and when I moved back to Kansas City after college, I found Yoga Patch online when looking for a place to practice regularly. The first class I took was Rachel's Hot Flow, and I was immediately hooked. So much so that after about 6 months, I joined their new Teacher Training program. It's been about 4 years since I first walked through the door, and not only do I still hit up Rachel's class when I can, I now teach 3 classes a week and attend others regularly. I've seen this studio become a community for so many who needed one, a home for small businesses and non-profits, and a life-changing outlet for people with all types of limitations and insecurities, physically and mentally, that made them think yoga wasn't for them. YP's classes are truly for everyone - there's more than 60 classes a week, almost half of which are offered for $5-$8, and dozens of workshops and trainings each year. All of this is a testament to the owner - Maria Murphy - and her passion for empowering others and her selfless love of this community. I know I'm biased, but only because once you get to know YP, most people find they have no choice but to get involved.

Gwendolyn White (Buti Yoga)is extremely disrespectful & very standoffish. I’m beyond disappointed that we need to find a different yoga studio considering me & 5 of my friends were about to purchase a year upfront memberships. She’s put a sour taste in our mouths. You’d normally expect to be greeted by a yoga teacher kindly & respectfully. Typically they tend to have a sense of zen about them but the negative energy was very unwelcoming & discouraging.
I understand that one teacher shouldn’t dictate the overall vibe of a studio but we’ve never been so incredibly disrespected in a yoga studio for asking a few questions.

I love this studio! However; tonight the woman working the front desk was really really short with my husband and I. On separate occasions. All we wanted was to pay for our class and she acted completely put out. Honestly makes me wonder if I want to come back. With so many great studios in the area, it wouldn’t break my heart. I work in customer service and we all have bad days. Unfortunately...that can cost us business when we take them out on paying customers.

Attended my first Bikram Yoga class tonight and the instructor was Rachelle. In the end I was about in tears and had to hug her to show my sincere gratitude for her guidance and for making me literally feel "better" and whole again in a matter of an hour. I left feeling amazing in my spirit and mind. I lift so tension was in my neck and lower back and in the end during the meditation when he said release it - I used it as a moment between me and God to pray and literally wooooosahhhh! I will definitely be back and make this my "Me Time" away from motherhood and life to rejuvenate my spirit to be the BEST woman I can be. Much needed and appreciated. Thank you!
