I have been trying to reach someone to put my sons membership on hold with no response. He is in Florida to help my 100% disabled veteran Dad with rebuilding his home. We aren't trying to cancel the membership, just to put it on hold until he gets back next month since he isnt working or earning income to pay them while helping with a family emergency.

My bill has increased without any notice from the company. This gym is not worth it. Even if it was a free membership I think they would find a way to screw you. They do not have good business practices at all.They also were not cleaning the facilities with antibacterial products. The majority of their equipment is old and not maintained. The last girl I talked to was snarky and couldn't care less about maintaining relationships since she didn't even listen to my complaints. Apparently they are too proud to be responsible to their customer. I go to cancel and have to wait a month because of a technicality. I really thought gyms like this went out of business in the early 2000's.

I was a member of this gym for over ten years. I was switched over to a certain rate and locked into a two year contract that I didn't know about and frankly, which seemed like a formality. I went to cancel and they want to charge me a $250 cancellation fee. They do not appreciate loyalty or care to do good business. They rather hide behind the contract and take your money. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

BUYER BEWARE: I just found my old contract from 2016 and the cancellation fee used to be $75.

Do NOT get a membership here. They scam you out of your money. When signing up I told them I would be moving in 5 months and planning on switching gyms to one that had a daycare. They told me there would be no cancellation fee if I was moving. Fast forward to moving and they are now saying I have to be 15 miles away from ANY Anytime Fitness in order to cancel my membership with no fees. Since I am not I now have to pay a buyout fee of $250. They will do anything to get money out of you. Not to mention the equipment is old and the gym is not clean. Do not recommend this gym.

Overall terrible experience, I would not go to this gym if they paid me. I signed up for a monthly membership at around $70/month, but it turns out the kid working there decided it would be a good trick to make it a 2-year contract (without telling me). What kind of gym has 2 year contracts anyway? 3 months go by and I decide to cancel because the equipment is old and worn out, they barely have any functioning machines, one bench, one platform, everything is run down, and it's worth nowhere near $70/month. When I went in to cancel they told me they don't cancel memberships in-person (red flag). They sure make it quick and easy to sign up, but next to impossible to cancel. I was given an 800 number to call (surprise, no answer after multiple attempts) and an email (thankfully they responded after 3 days). They told me I was ineligible to cancel due to my 2-year contract, which I had no idea I was in. They do have the incredible generosity to let you cancel if you get permanently disabled though, which is nice. Pro tip: go to Planet Fitness for $10/month and use brand new equipment. I can't recommend avoiding this place enough.

Unfortunately this is one of the anytime fitness that I wish would worry about there equipment and simple things like soap and paper towels in the bathroom… also only one toilet and one shower for men’s so you have to make sure your there when nobody else is there bathroom stall for the toilet is very visible to anyone who walks in and can see you using the bathroom…

I have called you guys since the first charge, before the end of may, you guys have made to my account for mine and my girlfriend about our "free year" that we got charged for in less than a week, telling you guys I was not paying for you're guys membership (triangle scheme) and have called abc fitness multiple times since then only to get no answering or robots that don't work. So of course I had won 100 dollars so I go to check it out turns out that 100 dollars is toward getting signed up so I signed up why notas I was already there and hey maybe it can work. was told its a 2 year contract and I could cancel within 14 days all I had to do was call ABC financial. So I do TRY to cancel was told I couldn't got hung up on 4 different times argued with Emma from ABC financial who I must say has horrible customer service and would not cancel me because I signed a contract and have no proof of what I was telling her so I get ahold of who signed me up finally got canceled I hope! But before being canceled was charged 37.99 and another 69.00! Like what happened to the supposed 100 I had won and why can't nobody get back to me? Instead I got took for 100 and did everything I was supposed to on my end! That is so wrong in so many ways I will never use anytime fitness again nor will I ever encourage anyone to go there. By far one of the WORST experiences I have had with a business. to When we signed up, we thought we had trials, but the guy unknowingly signed us up for a 2 year commitment. He made it sound like we could be done at any time. Shame on us for signing so quickly, but we trusted him and didnt think much on it. Fast forward a few months later, and it was a fight to get out of our contracts with them. Their billing company is a bunch of crooks. (google ABC Financial Services and you can see everything on them). The FTC is proposing new rules to make cancelling memberships as easy as it is to sign up, and these guys are probably one of the reasons why. The good thing is that I had a suspicion that this was happening early on, so I only talked to them through email or text, so that I had proof. I spent way too many hours and time having to fight this. The only positive that I can say, is that after many months, and finally filing chargebacks with our banks, that Steve reached out personally, apologized and helped us out. I do appreciate his help, but I cant forgive the company and their policies as it seems quite predatory.

AF has definitely been the best investment in myself. I am in the gym 5-6 days a week at team trainings, workouts with a trainer, and meeting friends I’ve met at the gym. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. I would definitely, and have already, recommend this gym to friends, family, and acquaintances. Billings is only my part-time home now... But I mainly chose anytime fitness for their 24-hour pass. I can't speak to any of the training they may offer as I don't use... I also chose Anytime because no matter where you go if there's any Time fitness you can get in on your 1 monthly membership. With all the travel I do with my work now that comes in handy.

Yes!!! They have awesome personal trainers who help you work on your personal goals and help you make workout adjustments and suggestions when you have medical issues that may make certain movements difficult. I also love the managers cheerful faces when they greet you by name each day and are there to help you with any membership questions that may arise. This review is less oriented towards the actual gym and more a poor review of the company and management.

Due to moving to WY and Covid I could no longer go to the gym so I attempted to cancel my membership. After many attempts I was still sent to collections. I call and explain my situation again and make a settlement with the gym. Great, cancelled.... or not. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I have been sent to collections again. This is odd since I was pretty sure I had settled and canceled my agreement. Apparently not. Management was rude, not helpful, and has not worked to help me resolve the issue. I did not receive any mail or emails saying I owed anything and they did not inform me of the move cancellation application until this last time after getting sent to collections and ensured me the time before that I was done doing business with them.

Do not sign up for anytime fitness. I sure will not ever again. Planet fitness is the way to go.

I had been at the heights gym for 5 years. When I extended my membership back in October, Starr said I would get two free months. Never happened. She also said that if you happen to lose your job due to covid due there would be no cancelation fee. I lost my job due to covid. I was just fed up with her so I just canceled and paid the 250 fee. She also said she was doing me a favor by giving me 2 free months after I told her I never got the free months. Then she said oh you had to go 12 times per month to get the free months. She checked and I went more than 12 times. "Doing me a favor" after I told her I was laid off from my job. Then she tried to give me a gift card for any one I help join the gym. I wouldn't rope anyone into their two year contracts. Please never go to anytime fitness. Never join their gym.

While this gym was good for me pre-pandemic, things have steadily gone down hill. First, while everyone was in quarantine and the gyms were closed they continued to charge me even though I couldn’t use the facility. Fed up, I went in and paid $250 to cancel my membership. That was a month ago but they still charged me for this month. I wish I could say that was the first time they did that, but sadly no. They have no regard for the financial stress some people are in during these times. I will never be doing business here again. It’s just a big scam. My concern is the difficulty of getting ahold of anyone during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was told that charges were to be suspended on my account. That has not happened. I can't understand the email that was given to forward concerns to on the voicemail when you call the office in the heights. I'm still being charged a membership fee plus a personal trainer fee. My 1 star rating goes for the issues/struggles having to do with getting in contact with this company. My trainer and the facility (pre-pandemic) was a great place to go to. I am hoping to get some help with this issue, and the charges that are still occurring on my account.

As a member of another Anytime Fitness, I was pleased to be able to use the gym while in town. However, it was not up to the standards I was used to at my home gym. Many machines were not working for one reason or another - had an overall dirty feel that led me to want to try another gym in town even though this one was the closest to me.

I was told I could pause my membership and then choose whether or not to drop my membership. During that time, new owners took over. They refused to honor what I was told before, so I can either buy out my membership for $250 or pay $287 until my membership is over.

Also, the TWO-YEAR CONTRACT automatically renews, so if after 2 years and 1 month you want to quit, you can’t unless you pay a huge amount.

I asked them to find my original contract. They can’t find it. It’s been weeks and they still haven’t gotten back to me.

I’ve been a member at this Anytime Fitness since they opened, and I’m quitting because I just can’t make it there with two kids. Eventually I’ll want a gym membership again, but you can bet it won’t be with Anytime Fitness. Had they honored what I talked to the previous owner about, there’s a pretty good chance that they would have gotten my business again in a few years. Now I just tell everyone not to go there.

I had been paying for a gym membership for over 2 years without stepping foot into the building. That's on me, I get it.

So then I get an email saying that my membership was set to expire, so I'm thinking, "Good, now I won't have to feel guilty about not going to the gym while paying for it."

The next month I saw a charge on my account, so I immediately called in and explained the situation. The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and said they would remove the latest charge and I wouldn't be receiving any charges moving forward. Thanked him, end of conversation.

Yesterday, I noticed another charge (which led me to looking into the previous month never being refunded either)... So I call in thinking I was going to get, " We apologize for the oversight and we'll fix it immediately."

Instead I'm on hold for awhile only for the gal to come back and say, nobody here remembers talking to you, and the only way to end your membership is to physically stop in and sign a piece of paper. (Not mentioned once during previous conversation). And also mentioned that I would not be refunded for the previous 2 months.

The part that is so frustrating about all this, is when you call in to the store, there is an automated message claiming your phone calls may be recorded for customer satisfaction.

Apparently that's only the case if it benefits them.

I'm extremely disappointed in the way the situation was handled, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to think twice before doing business with a company like this.

Staff is all very friendly. The gym is always very clean and smells good when you walk in, which is a lot to say for a space that holds nothing but sweaty bodies! 😆😆😆
I really like the 24 hour option with security entrance and monitored parking lot. The gym always has clients but due to being open 24 hours it's never overly crowded, at least the times I go anyhow.
Love kids but it's nice they aren't allowed in under the age of 14.

as far as AF goes this place is gigantic! they have every type of machine imaginable, all in incredible condition. honestly it's about 3x the size of the average AF. I do like the bathrooms, very clean very large very open; typically they are one stall private restrooms / showers whereas here it's more like a 24hr fitness / LA fitness. I wish there was a curtain between the shower area and the lockers, still though for whatever reason I'm sure people would still walk around naked in the locker room. it's not about how you feel about it it's about having respect for others. this is the reason I left 24hr fitness: I pay my taxes, have a great career, my dog loves me... I should never have to see another naked man as long as I live. if this were my gym, I might ask management for a curtain across the shower area and a sign saying please dress in shower area... but I'm only a thankful humble visitor, and no doubt this gym is incredible!
