BKC saved my life. I was severely underweight and a friend brought me here to build my weight and strength back. James and Mary have created such a wonderful place for people such as myself to work hard and see results. This is your time to take care of YOU. No one else will do it. I can’t recommend Billings Kettlebell Club and James highly enough. In April 2024, I went through a major life change—I had to have my entire stomach removed due to cancer. Over the following year, I lost 90 lbs, dropping down to 143 lbs at 6’3”. I was so weak that even sitting in a chair for an hour left me completely exhausted for a day.
Five months ago, I started training with James at Billings Kettlebell Club, and the difference has been life-changing. I’m now back up to 160 lbs, stronger, and able to do things I honestly wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to do again.

I love the BKC because it maximizes my workout time. I get safe resistance training as well as my cardio conditioning!! There’s no boredom from the tired old weight room workouts of the past. Each of them are created by James, to attain maximum results in each one hour class. The community is welcoming, uplifting, and excited to celebrate in my successes!! This is my 15th year training with kettlebells and seriously, the older I get the better I get!! I’ve never been stronger or in such great conditioning shape!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

James and his wife truly offer an experience here that I’ve never had anywhere else. If you need help with nutrition, strength, conditioning, or how to modify the workout for you, this is the place to be. Not only are the workouts hard and challenging; James makes you think about your goals and helps you achieve them, even the ones you realize you never had. He even goes out of his way to hold you accountable and if that’s not enough the people who workout there will. Every person there is incredible and notices when your gone, because well... they miss you. Even though some days the workout may be grueling you come back not only for yourself but also for those people around you and the journey you are sharing in your health. This place is like one big happy family complete with BBQs, games, competition, camping, and more.
Thanks James and Mary for the community you have built, I’d still be inconsistent with working out without you.

Just walk in the door of BKC to see who James and Mary are and what they build in this kettlebell club! RESULTS! I have been training with James, Mary and the BKC crew for 3 years. I’ve met some of the best humans there- humble, motivated, fun, energetic and dedicated folks.

James is passionate, motivated, informed and educated. He has the skills to change up my personal training *mid session* to address different old injuries and basically reset/ recalibrate my body. I see the results week after week, and am back to climbing trees and leaping small buildings with a single bound. His boot camps are intense, full of energy and most important to me- HE FOCUSES ON FORM AND DOING EACH PART OF THE EXERCISE CORRECTLY. I started with the early morning classes, then changed up to personal training. I have enjoyed Mary Wright’s style of training and motivation, as she transforms and grows into her unique style and presence as a trainer. I can’t wait to being able to join the classes again!!
