Was staying in Lamplighter Cabins during my recent visit to Helena and was thrilled to find that this gym is a 5 minute walk away. I was not sure what to expect, but the reviews were good and they had daily passes. I was blown away by the sheer amount of equipment, amenities and space available! Had the best workout in a while, and the staff was super friendly to boot! Did not get a chance to check out the pool and the sauna, maybe next time. Overall a top notch gym, they have something for everybody. Also loved the music being played it was up tempo and not repetitive really added to my workout, good job!

Great gym, it has a lot of workout machines and different floors and rooms with some environments being more quiet and others have some background music playing and lots of TVs to watch when using cardio machines. My favorite is the hot tub and steam sauna. The hours are pretty good and my kids really enjoy the childcare they offer with the membership. Ita a well insulated building but in the worst of summer it's a little warm and the fans take the edge off, but not the same as a building with consistent AC. Comfortable indoor temps all spring, fall, and winter though. They offer really good classes, I enjoy the yoga.

Old equipment and the front desk seems to have a chip on their shoulder. Several different employees could be a lot nicer, coming from someone who has consistently worked in customer service for the last 2 decades. The class instructors were amazing though, but the front desk ruins the atmosphere.

There was billing issues and the management was unwilling to help. Many other gyms in town with better equipment, customer service, and overall expifor comparable prices.

Some of my review reflects customer service. If management had resolved the billing issues, I would have updated this to reflect that. Instead, I’m leaving it as is because the experience was not resolved, and I had to go through my bank for help. That’s not coercion — just an honest reflection of my experience.

I joined this gym specifically for the indoor running track—the only one in town—while training for a marathon. The building is old, and at times the roof leaked, causing puddles on the track, but overall, I really enjoyed using the facility and the privacy of all the different rooms and workout areas. Really friendly staff.

However, my experience took a terrifying turn when a drunk man from off the street snuck in and attempted to grab me. I was alone in the women’s yoga room, stretching on the floor, when I felt something behind me. When I turned around, he was trying to sneak up on me. Instinct kicked in—I grabbed a dumbbell, jumped up, and squared off with it in hand. He tried to play it off, leaning against the wall like he belonged there, but he was visibly intoxicated and swaying.

Since there was only one exit and no cameras in that area, I had to force him to back up while threateningly holding my dumbbell (through that room and the next room) so I could get out to the hallway that leads to the entrance. When I ran to the front desk for help, no staff was there. They later reviewed the lobby camera and saw him sneak in, heading straight for that room.

I told management I would cancel my membership unless they implemented better security, such as key card access. They dismissed my concerns, claiming “nothing like this has ever happened before”—as if what just happened to me didn’t count. That was enough for me. I canceled and haven’t been back.

I enjoyed the gym while I went. The problem is my husband has been transfered out of the state for work, and the gym won't allow us out of the year long contract. So now I have to finish paying for gym benefits that I physically can't use because of the distance across STATES. That is such a bad business practice. Now when we come back to MT, I won't be joining back up with them.

I only have good things to say about this gym! It was the reason we stayed in Helena for a week instead of just passing through.
The staff is super friendly, there’s always free coffee, they have lots of equipment in 3 levels, and a women only section. What I liked most was there’s also a pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi.
The price was great too, $25 USD for a week of unlimited access.
All rooms in the gym looked clean and tidy. We had a great experience 👍

Budget gym, you get what your pay for. Typically dirty common areas and locker rooms. Noticeably dirty is the best way to describe it. Ann, who works mornings at the front desk is rude. Is off-putting if you call in with a question or request, like it's an inconvenience to her. I make sure to say thank you after I get what I need, the responses I've gotten back? "Okay, bye", "Uh huh", "Yep". On 3 occasions when items broke (steam room, sauna and glass mirror in weight room) the management posted passive aggressive signs about the cost to replace these things and people getting billed. It came off more as a threat than a "try to keep our gym nice" posting. The equipment is in okay condition. Don't think it's been replaced in awhile. Some machines work better than others. Again, noticeable wear and tear resulting in some machines that can't be used to their full capacity. Pool is okay, but no family changing room. There are quite a few class offerings that are built into the membership. Childcare is also included in the membership. Overall, it feels like a gym that is fine with mediocrity. Good enough to keep members at the price, but never going to improve.

I like the gym more than I thought I would not as crowded and I like the sauna steam room and I can't wait to use the pool. Super friendly, they know your name. Love this gym, for starters the daycare for my children, the staff is always willing to jump in and let us get a workout in and very nice to my children. Second, very spacious. I’ve never waited on a machine or free weights. Third, staff is very understanding and always willing to work thru any problems. Couldn’t ask for a better gym personally!

Wouldnt recommend, the Staff (Older Guy at the front desk) always has an attitude and consistently makes comments under his breath (he thinks we can't hear because our headphones are on our heads, but turned off). Honestly, he Is enough of a reason not to go here.

Free-weights (Barbells, Curlbars, Dumbells) are all not maintained, suggest bringing your own allen key set or you will deal with them falling apart. The Cardio equipment is operational, but very worn out. You'll have to put the settings Very high in order to get any resistance. Would not recommend Capitol Sports or Fuel before going here.

This gym is alright as a facility, I'd say it's mid tier maybe upper tier level amongst Montana, but I've traveled all over the United States (I'm a veteran, not rich) I've been to many nice gyms one of my favorites is a local ymca in WA that's similar in a sense that it has all the amenities you could ask for, pool, steam room, sauna, very spacious etc. My favorite part about that gym was it was $15 a month with no cancelation fees. Whereas this gym has similar amenities, it's pool is much smaller, overall it's smaller, but most the most important distinction for a single member it costs $50 a month which is insane. If you looks for basic averages in America for gym memberships the average cost for a high teir gym is $43. As a veteran I get a discount just shy of that. I think crossroads monopolize on the fact that they are the only gym with a pool in Helena, so I hope someone out there makes a gym in Helena that's more middle class friendly with a pool, to give them some competition.

So my friend and I go here regularly to swim and hot tub at least once or twice a week before showering and heading home. We both have service dogs and were nervous about access issues in a new place. We have been going regularly for almost a month now..... and we have never had an issue. Our dogs are medical alert for cardiac and blood pressure alert and then mine also does FMP and guide work as well as my eyes don't work very well. They have their place blankets they lay on while we do our thing and then they watch and wait just like they were trained to do even when in the pool or shower ((thus is them while we were in the hot tub)) I'm planning to start Barre classes in the next month and I am hoping the lack of issues continues even then.

This gym has it all. It is pricier at first glance unless you plan ahead. I needed the steam room and sauna in my life, and the extra cost is worth it to me. Corporate Gyms try to get you with hidden fees, and this one is very upfront with cost from what I've seen. Keep up the great work!

Beware of Crossroads. I was charged for a month that they will not reverse
I was paying 3mths at a time and that was my contract with them. So basically they took money from me they were not entitled to. Please Crossroads do not respond to this as you speak far from the truth.
I plan on spreading your dishonest ways to all that I know and as frequently as possible. If I could do no stars I would have.

We were here for the Turkey trot. They recognized the top 3 from each race just before the raffle, but I didn't realize it was inside. I was waiting for everyone to finish the race thinking they'd use the sound system out there to announce it. We missed them recognizing my 5yo which he was sad about even though there were no prizes. They raffled off a lot of pies and had bananas, bagels, and water for post race snacks. The building seemed nice though, a little bit of a maze and tricky to find where you're going.
