The old fuel was much better and had a better energy and vibe inside. The front desk workers were more intelligent, understanding, and empathetic, wonderul shakes made daily with a short chat does wonders for men like me who hit the weights hard
. The realness of fuel I once enjoyed working out at felt completely disintegrated. I'll be using the other gyms permanently. I've heard from numerous others who feel the same. Cancelled ✌️

Awesome Greet and Energy coming in. Plenty of equipment as well as a in locker steam room. Will continue my health work there for sure. Also extra room for stretching etc as well as a turf section for any sort of aerobics along with windows facing our Beautiful Montana Mountains. Thank you Fuel Fitness For Real!

This gym is fantastic. Great equipment clean gym, clean locker rooms. Staff at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this gym. Best gym in Missoula for sure.

The actual gym is amazing, but the lack of communication around charges and duplicate charges is not. I was charged for a locker for several months and then told by staff that they cancelled charging for lockers several months ago. My money was never returned for the months I was charged for a locker and did not have to actually pay. There was zero communication around the policy update. Then, a month or two later, Fuel chose to again charge for lockers. I signed up and was told I had to pay my first month while physically at Fuel. Then, the next month I was charged twice for one locker. Again, zero communication and I ONLY caught this by reviewing my payment history in the Fuel app. Once I brought it to the attention of the manager he refunded me the $10. If you choose to go here, as I said, the actual gym is fantastic, but make sure you check your payment history on a monthly basis and inquire about any abnormal charges immediately. I think that overall Fuel could do a much better job of informing its current members around policy updates.

The best gym in town, lots of equipment, love the back turf room with even more equipment, tanning bed, RTD pre’s in case you forgot to pack one for the day, protein’s, cute merch too! Love FUEL and Azra’s the best at the front always so welcoming!!

Locker rooms are a disaster. They smell of mildew and the showers need a thorough cleaning. Saw the same bandaid sitting in the same corner for 4 weeks straight. Decided to go somewhere else.

Simple gym that has what you need. I like the large open layout and multiple turf options. Lots of racks. I would say the gym overall leans more towards body building but plenty of crossfit and cardio equipment. My one gripe is that some of the benches are bolted down. If only they had a sauna! I've tried Peak/Vrtex and I like this one the best.

They made me pay 150 for one month for myself as well as my wife they say no obligation but lie .with them it’s high way Robby .an they still have not refunded due Ok so spoke with them personally an they still charged 98.00 for one month but refunded our 49.99 but we still only went for a month so still way to expensive for one month an they couldn’t give us a month free either .so don’t be fooled by the fuel for two they say it’s good for first month an last month but idk about that as we only did one month .

This gym has all the great things a gym needs to have.. great weight selection, good training room.. main floor full of great workout equipment.. when we first started going there it was well kept up and clean now we find pieces of gum on the floors, crumbs and other garbage on the floors… people taking their shoes off and using the equipment like that.. yet the people working just stand behind the desk on their phones.. I hope this gets addressed and resolved.

After Fuel management reached out to me for resolution, I'm amending my review.

Fuel was willing to cancel the billing cycle that occurred after I asked to cancel, and I've been refunded. The cancelation process still gave me a headache but credit where it's due it was resolved.

After a week at my new gym, I'm very happy that I have a running track, the only thing fuel is missing. However, I will say that Fuel had way more lifting racks, arm or leg, than the new gym. I also miss the 24hrs, as 8PM on a Sunday is a bad time for gyms to close.

Best gym in Missoula for people who actually want to do typical gym things. There's treadmills, bikes, rowing machines for cardio. A huge array of machines if you're into that style of hypertrophy training. There's plenty of squat racks, rolling benches, a smith machine, a couple of bench press/incline press benches, dumbells going all the way to 155, also 2.5lb increment dumbbells which is super nice to incorporate into your programming. As for the atmosphere there's a huge variety of people but 99.9% mind their own business and keep to their workout. It's not a super hardcore gym, you'll see some big people but they're not the majority. At the counter you can get protein drinks and stuff. There's a vending machine too which is nice for getting protein afterhours. Touching on after hours it "closes" at 8pm but as long as you have the open app on your phone you can swipe it by the reader outside, the door will unlock and you can go in. So it's really a 24 hour gym. There's not a whole lot more to say. Staff isn't pushy and this is coming from someone who HATES pushy. If you step in they'll give you a tour of the place.

I choose this gym as it was close to bike to. Initially I wasn't sure what sort of bike storage but was pleased to find a couple racks right at the gym front.

The gym shares an entrance with a daycare, which is a perk for some
Fuel Fitness is a traditional gym, but they have a sizeable room for classes, with setups more akin to crossfit (inc barbell racks). The rest of the gym is traditional with probably 5 squat racks, free weights, benches, cable machines, turf, trx bands, wheeled sled, rowing, lots of cardio machines, lots of accessory machines, tanning booths, and more.

Something I appreciated about Fuel Fitness is their paid on full (PIF) annual plan. It means pay for a full year without automatic rebilling.
Additionally, the staff is always friendly, kind, and helpful.

You've gotta scan in via phone app at th desk. For unstaffed hours; a separate app to unlock the enterance is required.

There's a vending machine with protein drinks during off hours, otherwise you can purchase protein, pre workout, etc.. from staff.

I got a personal trainer (Big Al) at Fuel Fitness during my time in Missoula, which enhanced the experience. This gym was a great experience for my 1+ year stent in Missoula.

The only downside was the diagonal roads/traffic to cross on bike when coming from the west.

Worked out here for a long time, didn't have issues during that time. When we moved and tried to cancel our membership the shadiness started. I tried to cancel in person at the front desk and was told I needed to email someone to cancel the membership for myself and my wife. I sent them a email and my membership was cancelled but there was a problem with my wife's cancellation and I was charged for another month. Tried calling them, was given the run around again and told to send another email. I tried emailing (and calling) them again multiple times with no response. Was charged again for another month before they finally stopped charging me after I took the issue up with my bank. Never gave me money back. Take my advice: go to peak or another gym in town. There are other options with equally good equipment that won't behave this unethically.

Hidden annual fee took me by surprise. It's only $39/year, but there was no mention of this when I signed up in person. I only found out about the fee after they charged me extra. Seems like the monthly payments should cover the membership.

Also, to sign up, you have to pay first and last month (no mention of this on the website), then 60 days after signing up, they add on the annual fee. Likely to profit off of people who realize the weights are always in use which makes it hard to lift. Seems like a shady business practice to me

I really used to enjoy using this gym because of its location and price but the membership cancellation process ruined it for me. Previously, I had a membership in Helena while in college and it was not nearly as painful to cancel that membership as much as this gym has been. Not only could I never gain access to my iclub online account, but no one was ever able to help me in person and all my emails to management went unanswered. As a result, I had to contact iclub customer service and even they were unable to get me access to my online account. Instead, I had to submit an email to them directly to cancel my membership as that was the last and only option. This is my last and final time ever getting a membership at any Fuel Fitness branches.

Tried to go into the location to cancel my membership. They told me I had to send an email. I sent 3 emails, and they still charged me for another month. I will be reporting the charges as fraudulent and I recommend everyone find a less shady gym to go to. Absolutely unprofessional behavior.

This place should be ashamed of itself!!! I helped this place get it's start since day one. They didn't have the money to open. So they offered a deal. Pay cash one year in advance. In return $20 membership for 'Life"...Today they said sorry, can't do that anymore.
Originally I had access to everything. Daycare, tanning, classes and over the years, little by little they took stuff away and discontinued any classes.
Fair warning, sign a contract and it doesn't mean anything. They don't honor they're word and will do anything for a buck.
Really disappointed. Gyms way too crowded anyway!

Unethical decisions. Use drop-in daycare next door, which is for parents who want to work out.
Owner suddenly decided to significantly increase the daycare's rent. Daycare was forced to raise their prices and may have to move.
Shouldn't a gym like this be supportive of parents having the opportunity to work out for a decent price?
Healthy parents = healthy families. The owner of Fuel Fitness obviously does not care about that β€” what a shame.

All the staff have been great. I'm a new member and decided to join 3 days into my free 5-day membership. It didn't take long to know that I'm in a good gym and that I have the flexibility of going to other Fuel Fitness facilities in the Montana area. I may not be here in Montana long, but I like to join the facilities that make me feel comfortable during my workout and provide me the right equipment to do so.

Not only the most expensive place in Missoula but the staff couldn’t be more arrogant. Been going to the gym for 25 years and the attitude at this gym is why I won’t be going to a gym anymore. For their prices you can literally finance a home gym and do the same thing with out the arrogance! Honestly expected better. Knowing the owner I’m pretty disappointed.

TOILET PAPER? IN THE SHOWER?? The hair and black soap have been in that shower for almost 3 weeks now. I’ve already talked to the staff several times about the cleanliness of the shower/ bathrooms. The girls could also help by picking up after themselves and learning how to flush their toilets when they’re done. Dirty. I’m hoping someone addresses the cleanliness of this place because it is disgusting. Also left yelp review.

Used to be the best in town. Really dropped the ball. Staff is nice but management sucks. Bolting benches to the floor that I pay to use. Always renovating at turtle pace. Was looking for a new gym in town to go to instead of where I’m at right now. They’re 24hr, but the site says nothing about their unstaffed hours. Tried to go buy a week pass to try it out but you gotta have a card to get in on Sunday. Again, site said nothing about it. Tried asking a member coming out what was up and they had a trash attitude. This was all superficial, but not convinced to bother with a follow up.

The gym is constantly way to packed. Then the remodel made things even worse. 4 squat /deadlift and only 2 bench stations with 50+ people constantly in the gym is ridiculous. Search reviews by newest and you will see tons of 1 stars. This gym has gone down hill and my membership will be canceled.

Edit: Solid response from owner. I did not realize the other room was being built. I look at the rendered pics and they look great. That should definitely help with congestion issues. Updated to 4 stars and will up to 5 if the extra room works out. Thanks.

Oh my God. Go to another Gym. The update, the remodel. The fee re structure. It's all garbage. First they raise monthly memberships. Then have no employees or no staffing hours. Then paint every wall black or gray. Which are not motivational colors. They're depressing colors. They're taking the laundry baskets away and trash cans away and replacing with smaller ones. Made all the cardio machines right next to each other with minimal space. They NEVER clean out the showers, bathroom trash in the handicap stall barely has liners and is not changed often. They do not mop the floors also the showers are not cleaned out daily. There's still a rag that's been there for days. They're missing benches in their changing rooms. The lockers reek. And there's a standing pile of water usually beneath the benches. Like a huuuge pile of water. They took away a lot of their squat racks. No private stretching room. Just terrible re branding. Trying to price gouge us. The front people are not very friendly either.

BEWARE if you want to cancel your membership! I was double charged the last month when I gave my 30 days notice. I was told by the manager Cody Thompson that the double charge was due to February only having 28 days and not to worry I'd be refunded. Well after 15 emails and promises of refund and 6 weeks after the double charge was made still no refund. Cody told me the refund was processed and I'd have to wait 10 days. Well 10 days came and went and still no refund so Cody told me to contact their financing company ABCFinance. After being placed on hold for 15 minutes - the finance company told me that the refund was made out to none other than Cody Thompson. NOT COOL! No resolution to date!

Its a great gym, plenty of equipment and free weights/benches. Cardio faces the mountains through the window. There is a whole room in the back for classes but if there is no group scheduled it is fair game. Punching bags, TRX straps, enough room for calisthenics and agility drills when there is no classes. Some gyms have given me weird looks, not the wow good for you weird looks, but more the "lunk alert" weird looks. I have found my gym. The locker rooms are nice, showers were very very clean but some were closed for tile work last time I was in. Relatively quiet in early evenings (got a power lifter making some noise as he executes proper form and allows the weight to return to the floor unaided).

I love this gym so far. So many machines and places to do what you desire with lots of space around you. My only complaint is that there ought to be a few more sanitizing sprays around. For example, the floor stretching area has no sanitizer anywhere convenient or even within sight, and I often see people looking around and then choosing not to sanitize their yoga mats and other materials after use because they can't find the nearest cleaning materials, or they are already in use elsewhere, etc. Free tanning with a membership was a huge bonus for me! Winter is hard!

Have been going to different gyms all over the country for the last 13 years since I started lifting. This is without a doubt the best gym I’ve ever been a member at. Awesome space really solid and caring staff and tons of equipment. If you are into powerlifting or CrossFit there are lots of specialty areas and 13 racks. There is also an amazing childcare staff and it comes included with membership. Last but not least, a membership here gets you access to every Fuel in Montana and northern Idaho. I have been to almost all of them and they are all quality (but MISSOULA is still the best)

I looked all over town for a great gym. I have young kids and they absolutely love the kids zone... no kidding they never want to leave!! They have cardio machines which I believe 99% have individual tv's attached. They also have resistance machines, weighted machines, free weights, cardio room, tanning beds, classes, trainers, steam room, smoothie bar and more! I wish they had a pool but otherwise great value at $29/month childcare included.

Missoula Fuel gets me going every day. It has a great space and a dizzying verity of equipment - both free and fixed weights, and aerobic machines - so It never seems crowded. The staff are helpful and friendly.

I've been going to Fuel since July and have had a great experience. It's affordable, they have a daycare setup, a smoothie bar, and best of all it's always CLEAN! The staff is also fantastic being both friendly and knowledgeable. Nick always has good advice for both nutrition and workout plans. And they have heavy bags for venting after a long day.

Love this place. It's my second home. Its 24/7 so when ever I need to get a left In the place is open and staffed as well. Nick that works the counter is amazing. Makes the best shakes for sure. And brenda is amazing manager to the place and she actually does the job instead of hiding in her office and is a joy to talk to. Everything is well kept and clean.

By far the best gym in town. Great prices, friendly staff, great environment. Since day 1 of my membership I've always felt welcome and comfortable. They also offer a wide variety of classes at different times through out the day that work well with any schedule. I highly recommend this gym!

I recently joined Fuel after shopping all the other gyms in town. The facility is second-to-none. The people are extremely pleasant and helpful. Everything is clean and well taken care of. I especially love that it is open and staffed 24 hours per day, meaning I can go to the gym at 1:00 AM after my wife and kids are all in bed. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to join Fuel.
