I have paid for my grandchildren's membership for several years. I was to be in town for several months and wanted to have a place to shower on my vacation. Logan Health Fitness Center lacked the common sense to know that the person who is paying for a membership should also be allowed to shower there. It's not exploitative in any way, that would simply be three people utilizing the facility. It's that lack of human judgment that I simply cannot support... one must be intelligent enough to know when to bend the rules and make an exception.

I liked this gym when I first starting coming here. I donβt like contracts. I found it ridiculous that I had to pay $100 monthly simply because I didnβt want to sign a contract. But I did it. Every single month without complaint. I was practically here everyday for almost 3 years. All was good until this lady (not sure who she is). Came up to me stating my payment never went through. Which confused me because, I donβt enter the gym until the payment is even made. I realized for the month they were referring to. I went to Hawaii for the entire month. So why would I need the entire month for a membership? Realizing that before I left. I paid for a 1 day pass. At $15 dollars. Yet again, absolutely ridiculous price. I digress. Someone messed up and pro rated 1 month. I didnβt ask for this. It was a mistake. But I didnβt say a word. You got your money. I should have complained, but I didnβt. The problem wasnβt this. It was the way it was handled. She came out and spoke to me as if I was hiding from them or something!! Can you freaking believe that??? I was so shocked!! I never say this, but lady I make more money than your entire office staff COMBINED. You think Iβm worried about YOU!?Stating she called me a bunch of times as if I was IGNORING HER! I canβt leave a good review in good conscious. Not too mention the amenities can never be used. Sure, you have a pool. But if you have a full time job. Good luck using it when itβs not being used by the swimming team, or open swim, or some type of event that nobody real cares about. Not leaving any spaces open for others. The staff in the weight room are so rude. Iβve never seen them help anyone. EVER! Constantly have bad attitude, and look rude as can be. This is stated by EVERYONE that goes here. The only reason you have any business is because youβre a small town. If this gym was anywhere else in the world, it would have went out of business by now. No way they could keep up with a quality gym. I came here practically every day for 3 years. I know what Iβm talking about. Practically everyone agrees with what Iβve said above. But who cares right? Extremely small town, and the only choice you have! So thankful my work stent is done here. I will NEVER be back. Now that Iβm back in a world that I know Iβve realized this. The staff, and the people who attend are amazing. Iβm talking about my new gym, with a quality experience. Faaaaar from this gym. Iβm an outgoing person. But I didnβt care to give any part of my personality to those here. Which is truly unfortunate for you. Good luck!
Edit: came back to read through some of the comments. This issue isnβt deranged customers.
Itβs absolutely, an ownership/management issues. They are the ones to blame. I donβt know how anyone in this type of position can sleep at night. Knowing they do such a horrible job.

One of the young blonde girls that is at the front desk sometimes when you walk in is very rude each time she is at the desk and has no customer service so it surprises me she is at the desk. She seems to be bothered and always sharp to the guests and myself by simple questions or interactions. I have never had an enjoyable time walking in when she is there.

Logan Health Fitness seems to be the known local creep hangout
Next time you visit, take a moment to observe the older single men lounging around, seemingly idle going from one machine to another. Pay attention to the guy who keeps his phone glued to his hand in odd positions, the one who always seems to be sitting directly across from a young girl, and the most egregious offender, the guy in the hot tub when there are only children present. My parents have banned me from going alone after we witnessed a guy attempting to videotape my crotch, and a family friend caught another guy videotaping his eleven-year-old daughter. Despite our concerns, management dismissed our complaints, stating that they had no authority to address the issue. If all the girls stopped visiting, I believe they would take action.
Do better, Logan Health.

My 8 year old son and I showed up just a little bit before open swim time. I asked the front desk if it was okay to sit in the hot tub with him, and the lady working promptly said yes. We went downstairs to the family changing room, got all changed into our swim trunks and swimsuit, and were literally about to step into the hot tub when some older lady came up to us and rudely asked if my son had a swim lesson. I said no, the front desk told us we could sit in the hot tub. She then rudely shook her head and explained that they were wrong and we were not allowed to be there and needed to leave. I tried to ask why I was told we could sit in the hot tub, but this lady obviously didn't care what we were told or the fact that being there was a big deal to my son. She then tried to joke with my 8 year old about needing to grow up more, which neither he or I appreciated very much at all. Very upsetting experience.

Terrible attitude towards everyone, we came there wanted to play volleyball the field was empty, 15 of us came, each of us paid $15 and after us one person came who started playing basketball, and we stood for an hour and a half waiting because they simply did not want to put up a net for us
I don't advise anyone to go there!!!

I signed up for a three-month summer deal mainly to use the sauna, but my experience fell short. The sauna was out of order for a month, and communication about its status was lacking.
To find out if it was operational, I had to walk to the locker rooms since there were no updates on social media or via email. The front desk staff often seemed unsure. Once, I was told the sauna was open, but when I arrived, it was still closed. It wasn't until the last week and a half that a sign was finally posted at the front desk about the situation. As a result, I continued using my other gym membership since Logan's location was a longer drive with older equipment and a non-functional sauna.
On a positive note, I appreciated the staff's kindness and the quality of the track. While I understand repairs take time, the lack of communication about the sauna was disappointing. Iβm glad I tried this place, but Iβll be returning to my original gym.

If you are BLACK, please stay away, I was called derogatory term, multiple times by an older man. I explained my concerns to the manager and they did not care. The fact that I go to work out and I am called a racial slur and the company doesnβt care. Behavior like this is unacceptable and it is not wanted nor is it humane.

Terrible hours, especially during the summer and weekends. Staff is friendly and the facility has very nice features. The gym equipment isnβt very well maintained. They could use a couple more machines, especially another cable machine area. Since the hours arenβt very accommodating, expect it to be incredibly crowded when you go there.

Wouldn't recommend this place if it was the last thing standing. Have always had some sort of issue with the staff being racist towards me or my sisters and now recently towards my son. The front desk people, Jonnette Reynolds and Brad Roy could give a flying cow when you voice your concerns but that's Logan Health and how they let their staff treat people and sweep things under the rug. I wonder how many name changes it will take for them to finally care? π€

Racism at summit.
Adding this in, after initial review. So my son has been harassed by several staff members. In several of these instances I caught in on camera.
In the most recent a women named Jonnette was "tracking down" my son and kicking him out. I should mention my son is mixed.
Targeting him when none of the other children are being targeted. It's sad, I've been going here 20 years and now I don't feel safe to being my son here.
Sorry for being vague on details, needing to contact attorney on how to proceed with the racism we have faced.
(End of new review)
The Summit practices anti-social distancing.
The Summit or now called "Logan Fitness" has all but one drinking fountain closed. This is forcing every person who wants a drink to crowd super close together. In addition is somehow covid is spread to a fountain. This will cause even a greater number of people to get infected, being everyone is forced to drink from a single location. And most people don't drink water bottles.
I filled a complain and even talked to someone after waiting over a month. They promised to fix this. Another 2 month later and nothing.
It seems like Logan Fitness is trying to hurt people. Scary to think this is a medical fitness center with vulnerable people.
Why can't you reduce the risk by opening up drinking fountain? Are they trying to hurt us?

Logan took it over. I mean need I say more. They charge a premium yet don't maintain the equipment nor amenities that make the place a premium. They have horrendous hours. The place/equipment has hardly changed for over 30 years yet prices skyrocket. What exactly are people paying for? You have done almost nothing new. The company has among the worst reputation in all of Northwest. They have ridiculous sign up fees. And considering they have all these funds from screwing people over nothing gets fixed properly and all these βamenitiesβ they have break and get fixed half baked. For example The Sauna never gets hot enough anymore you think they would just replace the heater for a new one.

The hours are pretty prohibitive so if you work a 9 to 5 it can be pretty tough to get there after work with enough time. They also just randomly close for days sometime with no real world reason. Closing the gym for a company picnic makes it extremely hard if you are a busy person trying to work out on a schedule. They were also closed for 4 days I believe this weekend for labor day which is just not ideal if you are trying to keep consistent.

Never seen a gym with so much $$ and be so cheap on deferred maintenance. 10+ years of complacency will soon change with more competition of gyms opening up. A lot of potential here but sadly whomever is in charge of making financial decisions for the gym is severely incompetent. Front desk/gym attendants are super friendly and nice, just a brief conversation with them makes it crystal clear how the upper management is disconnected and delusional (2 star treadmill app). Do better Logan, we get it ur cheap, but a more clever way of allocating funds would be much better for optics. For the price they charge for a membership now it is really disgraceful and shows in the upkeep of the equipment/facilities.

The summit is the largest gym in the flathead valley, full facility from indoor track and climbing wall to Olympic size swimming pool. Lot's of equipment to workout on. Individual classes throughout the day.
Gym memberships here in the valley are pricey, punch card's too. So make up your mind your going, and get going! No excuses! π

In March I joined the Journey2Wellness program at my physicianβs request to lose weight, gain strength and build endurance to prepare for knee replacement surgery. I paid the full $300 fee for the 3 month program on my first visit, even though paying monthly was an option. I attended the initial consultation, about 3 water aerobics classes and attempted one painful walk around the track. Then COVID hit and they were shut down. On my own, at home, I met my goals and had surgery in June. Yay! When The Summit reopened the pools were in need of repair. I requested a refund at this time, but was asked to keep my account frozen until the pools opened. I agreed. Pool therapy is great for knee surgery recovery.
When the pool finally did open they still did not offer classes. I was disappointed and requested another refund. By this time COVID cases were exploding in the Flathead Valley to the point of community spread and my physician recommended I avoid public places. After a few blunt emails $150 of my $300 payment was refunded to my account. I had requested at least $200 be refunded, and to speak with a supervisor or director but was denied. This is so unfair for 2 weeks of a 3/month program. My advice is to only pay monthly when given the option, you never know when a pandemic will limit your choices.

A few years ago we had a membership at the Summit, but quickly after the "fall" of the hospital and them loosing a lot of their highly trained specialists we saw morale and staffing issues at the Summit as well. The Kid Care was great with our kids who just loved Ms. Mckenzie and Ms. Lindsey (who no longer work there now). The track and facilities get over ran by adolescents in the after school hours with no parental supervision. Most youth are loud, rude and disrespectful. This is definitely an issue but not surprising since most parents these days use cell phones as babysitters for their children rather than actually be involved and present. Don't hate. Its the truth. Anyhow, I digress. I would recommend the Wave in Whitefish a 100 times over The Summit. It's cleaner, has great staff and an AWESOME kiddie pool along with a really cool daycare option for my kids. It is also way more affordable. My family pays $40 a month. Definitely worth the drive for us from Kalispell to Whitefish.

Played pickleball today at the Summit as a guest from Florida. Kalispell pickleball players are NOT fair to people they do not know. They kept moving my and my wife's paddles backwards so they could play with people they know. (Our paddles were strange to them.) We played one game each before our paddles were moved and then we left. I know I am doing them a favor with this posting (no visitors will play here-as they don't care for strangers); but If you are visiting do yourself a favor and play elsewhere. Bill and Karleen

We recently got a membership hete for our family. It pretty much only works for older children. If your child isn't 7 you have to swim with them, even though there are life guards. No children in the hot tub. The times for open use are limited. If we want to play basketball we risk a soccer game already in progress. You pay to take many of the classes as well as certain parts of the facility even when you have a membership.

I had a wonderful time here. This facility has many services for athletes who are looking to enhance or improve their skills and performance. It's also good for people who just want to unwind, exercise and get in shape.
Taking steps to improve our health isn't a waste of time, it's an essential part of our life. This place has the amenities to do just that!

My gym. Great facility with good equipment. Staff is helpful and friendly. Has drop in daycare and a cafe and pro shop. Has multiple classes at different times all taught by certified instructors. Worth checking out for sure when shopping gyms.

Dirty, the mens locker room grossed me out. The shower curtains were yellowing at the bottom. The equipment is nice though.

Donβt get me wrong; the summit is a great facility, but I feel that it has been lacking significantly. There are many different machines, free weights, and activities associated with the summit, but recently it has been focusing more on trying to get money from people. The price for a summit membership is A LOT, but when you have to pay $1 to use a towel or pay extra to get your body composition, it is just getting ridiculous. Also, the staff isnβt as friendly as it used to be. Some people act as if they donβt want to be there. With all of this, I can confidently say Iβm disappointed in how the summit is moving forward.
