I have been attending a weekly group class since September of 2024. As an person in my 70's I knew I wanted a yoga practice that was active but not too active, since I definitely have some physical limitations. I very much liked Marina's description of the class as "active enough". I find the pace of the practice to be perfectly agreeable. The integration of the phases of breath throughout our practice inspires a serene relaxation into the poses.
The check-ins have been a lovely opportunity for personal attention with problem-solving. Marina was able to suggest props for me to use during practice to help decrease my back pain in seated and lying positions.
I am very happy with the noticeable effects of this practice on my nervous system. I feel so calm during class and after class which makes life so very much more enjoyable. As the weeks and months pass, I've also noted decreased back pain, improved digestion, and improved sleep.
Marina herself is obviously a very skilled yoga teacher/therapist with a delightfully down-to-earth and friendly manner of interacting with her students.

Marina is a wealth of information about yoga and the body. She fosters students to find a deeper sense of connection to oneself in her Monday yoga series. In this series package she also offers monthly check ins for personalized yoga suggestions. This is incredibly helpful when working with chronic issues. 🙏🏼

Marina's classes are not just your typical yoga class! The Gentle & Restoring sessions are an immediate stress reliever and pain reducer – I count on them every Monday night. I've practiced yoga on and off for years and have always come to Marina with questions when I need the support of a experienced practitioner. A couple of months before a big hiking trip I was having a terrible time with plantar fasciitis and I knew this was going to make this a very difficult trip if I couldn't resolve it. Marina was extremely helpful asking questions and listening to what I had been doing and not doing with my body. She provided a series of stretches and also some other excellent resources to help me better understand the condition and how I could alleviate it with good practices. My feet were ready for the trip and I am still enjoying pain free feet.

My first professional experience with yoga was with Marina. I took a private class and was wowed at my experience. I felt great !
Marina is patient and understanding. I felt like she listened to my issues and questions, and was quickly able to design a custom program for me . I still use the techniques Marina demonstrated to me.

I have been practicing Yoga with Marina for a few months now. Marina is thoughtful in her instruction and very attentive to my needs. Marina has been so wonderful in helping me regain mobility and reduce or eliminate my pain. I have been struggling with an insertional Achilles tendinopathy that kept me from hiking or even walking very much. I have been trying to get it resolved for 2 years with no success. After working with Marina for just a couple of weeks I had marked improvement and after 8 -10 weeks I would say I am 90% back to where I was. It is such a relief to be able to get up and walk without pain or limping and I am so happy to be able to get back into the woods for hikes and walks. I can't thank Marina enough!
