I've been a member with this gym twice! One when it was Crossfit (pre-pandemic) and now for almost two years since it shifted into MontanaFit. The coaching and workouts were always high quality but the community here now is really incredible. I joined to regain my athlete mindset and to have opportunities to push myself physically in a supportive environment. It was important to me to join a gym where people of different identities, shapes and ages could build strength from their own starting line. I've seen a steady increase in my own strength & tenacity & I keep coming back because the people here inspire the heck out of me! Can't recommend this space enough.

The coaches at MontanaFit are extremely patient and want to see you succeed. I would recommend this fitness establishment to anyone hoping to improve their health. If you are just starting out or
want to continue your fitness with some specific tweaking you will find it here. You will always be welcomed.

I joined Montana Fit in July, 2023, following a challenging health event. Montana Fit has become an integral part of my life, through their delivery of attentive and challenging guidance, developed through material expertise. My regimen has created greater strength, flexibility, mobility and confidence. Montana Fit is managed very professionally - the facility is top notch, their scheduling is reliable, their coaches are fun and EXCELLENT professionals. Members are amazingly supportive and friendly at all times - the positivity is infectious! Montana Fit really delivers, and I have no need or desire for a different gym - they are my partner in every sense.

I knew weightlifting would up my game in races, prevent injury, and build my strength and stability for long backpacking trips… but I wasn’t feeling motivated to add it into my workout plan and was feeling overwhelmed because I hadn’t done any strength training for a whiiiiile. Sound familiar? 😅

Montana Fit’s free strength sessions for women gave me that first push I needed to get motivated. I ended up signing up for 3 months of small group sessions and have seen progress in all the areas I was looking for! The environment is super welcoming, and I can always count on the coaches to challenge me. I’ve learned so much about form and body awareness that I’ve been able to take outside of classes too.

I’m bummed to be moving from the area, but the 12 weeks with Montana Fit set me up with confidence and skills to keep up with strength training in a new place. I highly recommend checking it out!

I’ve been coming to MontanaFit for over 5 years, and I can honestly say I’m stronger in my 40s than I’ve ever been. The programming is simple, smart and effective—progressive overload, compound lifts, with accessories including speed/power and conditioning. Before joining, I was doing my own workouts at various gyms, but the community at MontanaFit is what really sets it apart. The coaches are knowledgeable, approachable, and truly care about your progress. I’ve learned so much from each of them. Coming here twice a week is a non-negotiable for me—it’s part of my routine and a huge reason I’ve been able to stay consistent and keep improving as an aging female. I highly recommend this gym!

Before Montana Fit I would have said, “I hate gyms!” I stayed active with cross-country skiing, hiking, and walking, but didn’t do any strength training. When I joined I committed to trying it for 12 weeks and signed up because I wanted to build strength, balance, and mobility to help me age a little bit more gracefully. Since joining (a year ago now) I’ve lost weight, gained muscle, and feel more confident and energized. I have better endurance, a better mood, and it’s been nice to see physical changes too. What keeps me coming back is the great atmosphere—knowledgeable, friendly coaches, supportive members, and a welcoming, motivating culture!! I have changed my mind and attitude about gyms. It just took finding the right fit for me.

Two things I always look for when traveling: good eats and a solid workout. Montana Fit in Missoula hit the mark perfectly. Great trainers, fun and challenging workout sets, and an awesome community vibe. If you’re in the area and appreciate a good gym session like I do, definitely check them out—you won’t be disappointed.

As a perimenopausal woman, I came to Montana Fit with one goal: lift heavy things and not fall apart doing it. Mission accomplished — and then some! The coaches are top notch (and thankfully patient), and the community is full of kind, badass humans who cheer you on even when you’re sweating like it’s a personality trait. Montana Fit meets you exactly where you are — whether that’s feeling strong, tired, or just trying to remember where you left your water bottle. Love this place! 🙏

MontanaFit is my sanctuary! I found strength and focus that I forgot was there after five plus decades of running while neglecting the keys to longevity - strength and mobility! After a long search for the perfect "fit" I found it here. The support, energy, and dedication tailored to my goals in fitness has given me the gift of feeling strong physically and mentally again, all while identifying strengths, weakness, and dealing with unfortunate injuries that come with living a good life! I am so grateful for everything that my body can still do, rather than what I thought it could not do. MontanaFit is that safe haven - all welcome, no judgment, be the best version of yourself!

I've been working out at Montana Fit almost a year now and
I love it! Before joining here I was a member at another local larger gym that I felt was becoming too corporate and was losing sight of it'a members. I knew I needed a change. I've always loved weight training but have a difficult time putting a workout regime together myself. I came across an ad on Facebook for women's strength training classes. I messaged Ian who was very quick to respond, set up an initial appointment to check out the gym and meet with Ian. We talked about my goals, short and long term. We discussed any injuries and past workout experiences. I started by taking classes, all strength based with some cardio and mobility work. The overall feeling of MT Fit is like a small community, other members made me feel welcomed and comfortable. The trainers are all extremely knowledgeable and are always encouraging you to push yourself. I found I have muscle and mental strength I didn't know I had.You can go at your own pace and I don't feel as though I'm being judged. I decided after a couple months of classes that I wanted a workout designed more for me so I started working one on one with a trainer. Coach Jew has been absolutely amazing, I've had a past knee injury and haven't felt stable on it since surgery. He's put together some great workouts and I'm feeling so much better. I love the growth I'm seeing in myself and I hope to continue getting stronger!

A trainer said to me years ago that an investment in your body is one of the most important investments you can ever make, and it's always stuck with me. After letting life get in the way for a while, I finally found MontanaFit and I LOVE it. I started feeling stronger and more solid pretty quickly, and now everything from yard work to recreating is just so much easier. The coaches are supportive and FUN(!), and the community is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend MontanaFit!

Hard to find words to describe what this community means to me. I have been a member since the fall of 2023 when I decided, as a 52 year old woman, I needed to start lifting heavy. I appreciated the one on one intake and initial personal training sessions. I was very nervous for my first group class, but everyone was incredibly friendly and supportive. I have seen amazing results in strength and muscle mass, and, most importantly, discovered a community that is vital to my mental well being. If you are considering a gym and want one that is inclusive and welcoming, please don't hesitate to join us!

Strong is the new skinny! I joined MtFit about a year ago and it has been the best decision for both my physical and mental health. After years of floundering around gyms unsure of how to effectively make gains, I finally have direction and have seen tremendous progress in my muscle development and strength. The coaches are motivating and have created a non-judgmental atmosphere comprised of members of all shapes, sizes and ages. If you are looking for a gym that is not intimidating, guides you through structured strength training program, and has coaches and members that feel like family you have found the place! All you have to do is show up and the program and coaches do the rest!

Coming up on a year with MTFit and loving it more and more. Easy location to get to got me in the door but, great staff, and the super positive people sharing the suffering at workouts make the 6:30am class that much easier to get to. I’ve used traditional gyms, group settings, all sorts of different places with varying results. None have kept my attention and commitment up as much as MTFit has. Looking forward to seeing continued growth for myself AND the fun community this gym has created. Big time recommend people give it a try, even if group fitness hasn’t been your thing before. This group is rad and will probably change your mind.

** Coming up on two years now. Just keeps getting better! Rad coaches, influx of new awesome people, getting to know more and more gym-mates. Love this place!

After attending 3 free classes (as part of their amazing Buddy Week), I knew that I had found my place, and I couldn't wait to get signed up. The community here is fantastic - all of the coaches are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The folks I have met and work out with are all super fun and supportive. I used to work out on my own, but I knew that I needed more structure as well as a supportive environment. Becoming a member of MT Fit had completely changed my relationship to my body for the better.
At 35, my body was starting to feel the effects of aging, with aches and pains beginning to add up.
After a year of working with these amazing coaches, receiving both one-on-one guidance and the support of group workouts, I feel more stable, strong, and confident in my body than I ever have before.
Thank you for providing this wonderful environment focused on overall health and wellbeing to our community!!!

While my review below is 100% true, here are a few more noticed elements of being a member:
1. Ease of moving around in every day life; smoother, more adept in relation to the functionality of the workouts.
2. When my husband and I do big things together - like move furniture or prune trees, we holler out "sled pull!" and other exercises that we directly tie to our increased abilities.
3. The sheer dang fun of being with good humans, taught by caring & capable people who have our best interests at heart.

Oh - and when the instructors also work out with the class, all the more fun!
g

One size fits one size.
Montana Fit fits those who are
1. Focused and intentional
2. Wanting kind and knowledgeable, fun and adept professionals to teach them
3. Seeking a place of acceptance and belonging
4. Keen to have fun learning and growing, building and sharing the space with others in the same mindset.

I've joined 5 - 6 gyms in the past, not reallly finding what I thought I was looking for. Montana Fit is what I thought I was looking for, and is absodanglutely what i didn't know I was looking for. And then some.

Props to Ian and the team for good vibes, great coaching & teaching, and developing a truly welcoming community of people, all seeking to be Montana Fit.

Before joining MontanaFit my primary physical activity was twice daily walks or hikes with my dogs. Then my wife found and joined MontanaFit.

She liked it so much she encouraged me to join. She finally gave Ian my phone number. He kindly and persistently suggested simply connecting for me to learn.

So glad I did. It's the first time I've ever been a member of any kind of gym. After 8 months of consistently attending classes 3x/week I am noticeably stronger, hiking on mountain trails with my dogs is easier, and I know I'm building muscle at an age when it certainly begins declining.

Ian and crew have also created a community of people who actively support and cheer each other. Everyone is supportive of whatever place you are in your fitness. That makes showing up fun.

My son was born at the onset of COVID-19, and those combined events disrupted my routine of going to the gym on my way home from work. Initially, I managed to keep up with my workouts at home, but eventually, my motivation waned, and I began searching for a gym. Cardio was more my speed but I specifically wanted to learn how to lift weights.

MT Fit offered a solution with its initial one-on-one coaching sessions to teach proper techniques followed by class-based sessions with a knowledgeable coach. This approach allowed me to feel comfortable trying something new.

Having attended MT Fit for six months, I am thoroughly impressed. The convenience of just showing up for an awesome workout has reignited my motivation to exercise. The workouts are always different and interesting and the coaches are exceptional, providing guidance on appropriate weights and modifications when necessary. The overall atmosphere—the people, the space, and the music—creates a fantastic vibe. It keeps me going back for more.

The benefits have been substantial: improved muscle tone, increased strength, deeper sleep, and better energy throughout the day. The value I've derived from MT Fit is immeasurable, and it has been worth every penny. It's the best thing I've done for myself in a long time.

I found MontanaFit in my early 40s, when I was feeling unmotivated and frustrated with not only my fitness routine (or lack of), but with living a healthier lifestyle as a whole. I had always been super active, but once I hit middle age, I started to feel tired all the time and couldn't seem to find a workout routine that I enjoyed enough to stick to. Since joining MontanaFit, I have so much more energy, I feel more positive and happy, and I make healthier food choices. The best and most surprising part is that I now have a supportive community and accountability that keeps me coming back!

Join this gym! Before MontanaFit, I regularly did home workouts with Beachbody. After I while, I lost my motivation and stopped seeing results. I'd heard about MontanaFit for a while and decided to join. The community at MontanaFit is so welcoming, supportive, and helpful. Barbell-based workouts were not previously in my skillset, but the expert coaches and encouraging members quickly helped me gain the understanding and confidence I needed to get back into a fitness routine. The fact that I look forward to a 5:30 AM class says so much about the kind of community that thrives at MontanaFit! I'm stronger than I've ever been and doing things I never would have imagined I could do. As a mom of a toddler, I've found that I have better energy to keep up with her and do all the things our family enjoys since joining MontanaFit. The focus on functional fitness alongside an amazing community of people from all walks of life sets this place apart from the rest!

I joined MTfit a little over a year ago and never looked back. I was great at always getting cardio workouts in, but felt like I lacked in strength. I wanted to feel strong again! I've been going to MontanaFit for about six years now and I can't imagine going anywhere else in town. I came to the gym in my late 30s, just wanting to get in shape so I could have more fun hiking, running, skiing and generally enjoying life. Since then, I've totally changed my body and my lifestyle doing their workouts and following their nutrition plan. The coaching is top-notch, the workouts are great (challenging but well-balanced for my body) and the atmosphere is incredible. If you want to join a supportive, community-based gym where there are no judgements but also no limits on what you can accomplish, I can't recommend this place highly enough.

I'm really glad I joined MontanaFit. The coaching staff is super knowledgeable and I really appreciate the positive peer pressure and motivation of the group classes. I joined because I was looking for a place that focused on functional fitness to support activities like skiing and mountain biking. MontanaFit has been great for that and I can tell I have a much more well rounded fitness than I did before joining.

MontanaFit is not only a great place to improve strength and fitness, it's also a welcoming community of super folks. Prior to joining, I dreaded strength training and rarely experienced progress. I always enjoy going to class, regardless of my energy level, and the work is paying off with improved strength, confidence and durability during the outdoor activities I enjoy (run, ski, bike, etc.)

Also, the programming is super good and always challenging! I am becoming the fittest I have ever been in my life thanks to 5 Valleys CrossFit! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!

I tried another CrossFit gym in town, and 5 Valleys is BY FAR the best. Wonderful coaches, who care about you and your fitness goals. It also has a nice family-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend.

This is one of the friendliest crossfit boxes I've ever had the good fortune to find. Their trainers are knowledgeable and welcoming and the crowd that attends the classes are great. They take in people of various levels of ability and in the time I've been going my performance has definitely improved.

5 Valleys was my first venture into the CrossFit community and now after a year and a half I can't imagine my life without it. I recommend to anyone looking to change their workout routine to drop in and check out the friendly, caring, professional group of trainers owner Ian Marshall has assembled.

I have been going to 5 Valleys for almost 11months, my husband even longer. We absolutely love it. The coaches and staff are absolutely wonderful, super motivating and all around great athletes. They all have a natural ability to cater to all different levels of fitness, which I believe helps everyone feel included while getting in an awesome, challenging workout.

They offer a variety of class options/times, which work well with my busy schedule. It is the one hour that I truly look forward to each day and I have never felt better. If you are wanting to give CrossFit a try, 5 Valleys is your place.

5 Valleys CrossFit is an awesome gym with fantastic coaches. I've been a member for about 1.5 years. In that time, I've seen my PRs weights rise and metcon times fall. A workout at 5VCF is always a highlight of my day!

My sister introduced me to CrossFit on my 44th birthday and a year later l still amaze myself that I can finish my workout. The coaches are encouraging and never make you feel like you don't belong. I can hear Liz now ("you can do more than that".....) They give me the strength to go harder and stronger. I plan to stay at 5 Valley Crossfit for a long time.

I've been going to CrossFit for the last year and a half. After I had my daughter almost 5 years ago, I thought I would never get back into the shape I was in before pregnancy, where I was placing in half-marathons and triathlons. My husband had been doing CrossFit for about a year before I started and he convinced me that I would like the workouts and the competitive spirit. He was right, I am definitely addicted and at age 34, I'm probably in the best shape of my life. It takes awhile to learn and fine-tune all the moves, but the coaching staff and other athletes at 5 Valleys CrossFit are great about scaling the workouts so beginners and even injured athletes can do them. I would highly recommend this gym!

I discovered 5 Valleys last fall while they were offering free workouts in the park. As fall approached they offered a strength and conditioning class for skiers and hockey players which I attended at the indoor gym. I was new to this style of training, but the coaches have been super patient and good about giving advice and correcting form. After the ski and hockey training ended I kept going. I feel way stronger, I have more energy, my skiing is better, and I really look foreword to going to the gym with my friends! Highly recommended.

Very large facility with access to all of the tools you need to crush yourself. Extremely knowledgeable owner and instructors. They offer lots of different types of CrossFit classes from standard CrossFit to various sports conditioning classes (Soccer teams, hockey teams, ski conditioning, etc...). They have lots of different class times and payments scales. I can't wait to go back tonight.

I am a male, 58 years old. After having a fusion of L4/L5 in Nov 2011, rotator cuff surgery Nov 2013, I have been working out here for a little more than a year, 3-4 days a week. The coaches have a very watchful eye and are really good about teaching proper technique. There is just enough balance between technique and helping us push ourselves to achieve your own goals. They get to know everyone, lots of great camaraderie and energy in the gym. I like how each athlete will cheer the others on no one is left out. Great owners, always clean, all of the equipment is in great shape, this is a great place to work out. My wife says I am in the best shape of my life and I tend to agree with her, although I ain't 25 anymore. I travel around to lots of cities, Austin, San Diego, Atlanta, Orlando, Seattle, Houston and try to visit other CrossFit gyms. This is one of the best. Give it a shot some day.
