Wow!!! My wife and I went into sign up for a membership and was treated like we were waisting there time, he gave us the fastest tour ever, could not keep up, lasted less than 5 minutes, then he left us standing at the desk, we waited not sure what to do. My wife and I looked at each other's and said there are other fitness gyms to go to, so we left, I now know why there were only 3 cars outside.

Downfall and it’s a bit annoying, is today 7/21 @ 0945 there are cleaning stations that are empty of supplies while there is 3 girls standing at the main entrance talking among themselves doing nothing.. one has over the ear headphones on trying to help customers.
There are puddles of water in the mens changing room as well.

So I go to work out yesterday at the Billings west end location. Got on the treadmill to warm up for a few minutes. Go to find some paper towels and cleaner to wipe down the machine and find none. Went to ask the front desk about paper towels and he says the manager "Morgan" forgot to buy them. I say "that's disgusting". Walmart is literally 10 steps away. If Morgan cared about her club she could've walked over there and purchased some paper towels. I find that the club in general lacks sanitation measures necessary to keep the club healthy. I have not seen one sign instructing people to wipe down the machines when they're finished. Nor have I witnessed many members actually doing it. Have we learned nothing from COVID! I'm a fairly new member and am seriously reconsidering.

I don't usually write bad reviews but after the way I was treated by Planet Fitness on the Westend, I can't keep this one to myself. I was ready to get myself a gym membership and walked in on February 10th on my own and was barely greeted by one of the 3 men standing behind the counter on their phones. I know they don't have a lot to do, so I get wanting to pass the time but a greeting would have been nice, especially since it was the first time I had been there.
When I asked to sign up, the guy hands me a tablet and says to fill it out. There were a few questions I didn't know the answer to (the name of the guy "helping" me, and also if I wanted them to give me a tour) so I asked for help. He begrudgingly put his phone down and said "Oh you're supposed to put my name" which he had never told me. Then said with an annoyed tone "Did you want a tour?" To which I replied, "Um, I guess not?" Which I later found out they are supposed to give everyone that signs up a tour of the facility. So even if I do come back at this point, I don't even know how I'm supposed to sign in. I had to ask how to do that myself.
At this point, it has become pretty obvious that this guy is annoyed by me trying to sign up. In hindsight, I should have just walked out right then, but I thought things might get better. I'm not sure if I was interrupting important text messages, if it's because I wasn't wearing makeup or maybe because I was bundled up against the cold when I walked in so he though I looked poor or homeless. I can't explain but definitely don't feel I deserved to be treated like a burden.
Further into signing up, I found out I have to download an app, had trouble getting my account to connect, so he has to help me again, once again acting annoyed by my presence.
After I left, I sat in my car and cried. I regretted everything. I don't know why I didn't just walk out before giving over my financial information.
Now, after calling and talking to management several times, with NOT ONE APOLOGY, they have canceled my membership but will not refund me the $30 sign up fee.
So I'm out money, I feel like an ugly piece of trash and nobody gives a shit. As I said to the manager when I went there in person today to cancel: Thanks for nothing!!!

Overall cleanliness has really gone down hill. Been going here for several years and it took about two months for them to fix mens toilet (only 1 functional during this time), is now going on month 2 of an inoperable shower and 2 of the other 3 barely work, locker rooms are filthy. This location needs to take lessons from the Heights location, that place is WELL kept!

You get what you pay for so at the 10/month I can't rate it a 1-start, as I give grace for the price. It's like the Walmart of gyms. If a machine goes down it stays, 1 leg press machine has been out for months, a couple of machines squeak really good, and you can feel some play/slop in others as they are wearing down. Torn pads on others will stay that way, so extra deep cleaning is required. Mix of people some really good clean as they get off things, but others don't, so your best bet is to pre and post clean. You do run across the less trained people who think a 3-5 minute break in between sets while on their phone is ok, very frustrating when you are trying to keep the pump going lol. Cleanliness is hit or miss in the locker rooms, so at best I wash hands and run. So at the price point I give it 3 stars, so go in with that expectation and a good program, you will be ok.

My wife had to cancel her membership because she needed a gym with child care.

I called Planet Fitness on February 12th to ask for the deadline on my wife submitting her cancellation paperwork to avoid paying the $49 club maintenance fee. The representative told us we needed to submit it by March 17th. We double and triple checked that we wouldn't be charged the $49 if we cancelled by the 17th.

We submitted our cancellation March 16th, but were charged the $49 fee on March 1.

I've explained to the manager what happened and they say the $49 is not refundable because billing dates are one of the first things a new employee is trained on.

Edit: I submitted a form on the Planet Fitness website about 2 weeks ago and am still waiting on the district manager to contact me

As someone who’s been to 50 + Planet Fitness clubs around the country, hear me when I say this, people of Billings….you have a fantastic gym. You’re absolutely spoiled. You may not know it, but this is a really nice facility. I came 3 days back to back on my business trip and the club was always clean, the staff were friendly, and I had a kickass workout. A friend of mine who lives here came as my black card guest so hopefully he signs up.

I have always been happy going to planet fitness. The last few months the cleanliness has been getting worse and worse. The locker room, especially the bath room is getting pretty disgusting. There is a layer of dust and hair on the back of the toilets, the corners are dirty, I can see crud under the rims of the sinks from across the room. The hand dryers don't seem to have been wiped off in weeks. I understand short staffing but please do something so I don't have to leave my favorite place. #Edit after thinking about the owner's response suggesting I speak to the staff, I wish to say a little more. I don't feel it is my duty to manage planet fitness staff. Perhaps I have wasted my time..

I'm a fan of this gym and all the perks, just wish that it was 24/7. Weekends are a good time to workout after 9p and they are closed. I am disabled and use planet fitness for my own physical therapy regimen. I went in tonight and the CSR was sleeping on the bench in the locker room. I'm assuming that's because there's no cameras in there for legal reasons. The handicap shower was out of service. There was blood all over the floor in the changing room, water all over the floor because someone left the shower running. When I got out of the shower and was dressed, somehow our CSR was awake and working and when I was still taking pictures he looked pretty livid and did the whole sarcastic "can I help you???" I'm guessing he knew he was straight busted.
Needless to say I won't be attending the 24th st. Gym anymore. Absolutely disgusting...

Cleanest PF I’ve been to and I’ve likely been to more than 25. I am a truck driver so I get around. Was there from midnight-2am. I think the employees name is Mekiah. (spelling, sorry) that was working. Awesome guy and very helpful. This guy was cleaning nonstop, the entire time I was there. He probably worked harder than I did and I was lifting. New to this gym. Great equipment, great staff, the only thing that is missing, that I miss, is a free 45 lb bar that you can load. All of the 45 lb bars are in racks, so you can do squats, lifts, presses and always be protected without a spotter, but there is no way to do a clean and jerk, etc. So, it all depends what you're looking for.
