So I wouldn’t waste your time or money. The so called manager at the desk was extremely rude and asking for me to take a mandatory picture. I declined and said I was good.
What’s the point of the app if you have to prove who you are? Then asks me for ID and who brings their wallet to the gym to risk theft. Now my motivation is out the window and I’m obviously not happy with this interaction. Just cancel my membership and I’ll go else where.
But wait, how are you allowing me to cancel if I don’t have ID on me and you don’t know who I am? Real quality business here in the heights. Avoid avoid avoid.
Fix and repair your contracts that state you must have a picture on file that way some of us that do not like their picture taken can chose to go else where. I had the black card membership which allows me to bring a guest in as well, now your gonna question who I am and whether my iPhone is mine or not. Very upset customer, will be spreading my interaction with family and friends.

I was enjoying this gym but if it’s not your home gym (even if you’re a black card member) they will charge you $5 a day after 10 visits. I’ve travelled all over the US to different planet fitness gyms and this is the first time I’ve ever heard of this. So after 10 visits it was going to cost us an extra $140 for the month for us to continue going our 5-6 days a week. I can use that money and find a way better gym with free weights for that.

I always go here at night and used to go to the west end location; the folks who work overnight are incredibly friendly and treat you with the most respect! I'm happy when I get there, happy while I'm there, and happy when I leave! This location, at least when I'm there, is like how it is portrayed in commercials; only difference is there's not as many people just because it's like 11:30pm - 3:00am when I'm there.

If you have high expectations, prepare for them to be exceeded!

(Rude Manager, very unprofessional.) I wanted to downgrade my membership, I jumped though the hoops and did the process to downgrade. I made sure to ask if the downgrade would be on the next bill and the employee said yes it would. But come bill time it was not. So I called about it and the manager was rude and had more unreasonable hoops for me to jump through to do the same thing I already did. so instead of jumping though the stupid hoops to cancel or downgrade I will be refunding it every month though my bank becomes the manager can't continue simple tasks.

I have gone to a couple gyms in Billings and I gotta say this Planet Fitness is the best! It’s clean and the staff is always friendly. My husband and I have black cards and they are totally worth it! We get to workout then use the massage beds right after! Definitely recommend for people who are beginners or are advanced!

The gym is nice, but cancelling a membership is literally the most hard thing ever. Out of all the gyms I've went with, this one has tried everything to keep me from cancelling, and then tries charging an extra fee to cancel. Complete bull. I've had gym memberships that would cancel if I wasn't there after three months, and ones that would just cancel right away without asking for another $50. I've spent $110 on this place I haven't used for the past almost year because they make it so hard to cancel, and then of course they try to charge an extra $39 yearly fee. This place is a joke. They aren't there for people's well being, just for their money.

I joined a month ago, meet a gym in the heights and in west side of Billings Mt. So I got the black membership. Dude I get free tanning also? Score. Staff is helpful everywhere, but that being said, The heights staff is just so personal helpful.

For instance I was having a bad day. Hanna was walking by my machine and took the time to not only listen to my sad day but brighten it up with empathy and humor. I won't forget that. Personal touches make the difference.
Also the no judging culture is the best at PF.

I love going to planet fitness, it's one of my favorite gyms. I hadn't been to this location in a while, but the new leadership team is outstanding and I'm definitely going to make this my preferred location in the Billings area. You can tell that they've done a really great job in ensuring the guests are satisfied and happy. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. My husband and I each signed up for a membership. I noticed that 3 membership charges were coming out of my account. I notified Planet Fitness of this and they said they had accidentally signed my husband up for two memberships and corrected it. Fast forward to about a year later, we canceled our memberships. Two months after we both canceled we saw another membership charge come out of our account this month. I called to ask them why and they said that the additional membership they accidentally signed my husband up for was actually “put on a hold” and not canceled. The man who answered the phone agreed with me but said his manager had to handle it as he could not issue refunds. I spoke with the manager thinking this would be an easy fix since this was their fault. She was the worst business professional I have ever spoken with. She told me that she couldn’t do anything to help me since this happened before she was hired. She said that people can have multiple memberships and she has no proof that we didn’t sign up for multiple memberships. After trying to explain myself multiple times and telling her that Planet Fitness already said this was their fault when the 3 membership issue originally happened she said, “We are talking in circles and I have other things I need to do today”. She could not tell me if the issue would be resolved and when I asked if she could have someone else in management help me she said she couldn’t give me that information. I will never go back to this gym and never recommended it to anyone.

I have been going for nearly 3 months now. It is a very positive place, with plenty of machines. I have very rarely ever had to wait for any machines other than a few times for the really popular ones.
A large quantity of free weights and great selection of machines.

On top of that, the Black Card benefits are nice. I love the hydromassage personally. Great way to relax after a good pump.

Pulled up in the parking lot in our Skoolie and parked in the back of their very large parking lot. My family and I were on a road trip and we’re waiting for a replacement generator that we were having shipped to the warranty company directly across the street not 20’ away. We pulled in and stopped and before I could get out of the driver seat an employee and a guy in a “trainer” shirt came walking up to the door. I opened it and they said I couldn’t park there. I said we shouldn’t be but a few minutes that we were waiting to pick up the generator and we would be gone and out. The employee said okay and was very nice. Two minutes later this lady in a black shirt came storming out and told us to leave. I told her that we just had to pick up the generator across the street and that there was nowhere else to park. I had to carry a 120lb generator across the street. She said that “if you are not here to workout that you need to leave”. There were 26 cars in their 130 car parking lot and I was in the back for less than five minutes and was told by 3 different people to leave. The last lady was very rude and it was uncalled for. I’m sure it’s some kind of “protocol” because the homeless population here is ridiculous but she was very rude to us especially with my wife and kids sitting on the couch.
So anyone with a camper or Skoolie lookout. If you even hint of pulling through their beloved parking lot you will get kicked out.

When we went last Tuesday we encountered a group of judgmental females in the ladies locker room who glared at my wife as she was in sweats, a loose t-shirt, and her typical masculine haircut.. today we witnessed numerous people not cleaning their machines at all.. I really do like the gym itself and what it offers just the lack of basic respect for the gym and it's policies by other members is what is off-putting... hopefully they can figure out how to enforce their cleaning and judgment free policies a little better because then I would have given 5 stars.

Back to update because there have been zero issues since this with judgmental people. There is still a concern about people that don't wipe down their machines but apparently they don't understand that's not just a covid thing, that was basic gym common courtesy long before covid. Anyways, the staff is always great as well and if you have the room in your budget the Black Card membership is definitely worth it!!!

Planet Fitness in the Billings Heights is always clean and the staff are super friendly. There are always plenty of machines available, even with having to leave a treadmill space between exercisers. I would definitely recommend this gym for anyone wanting to use machines and get a good sweat on! Plus, the massage loungers are pretty sweet as well!

I've always have had a great experience here. I enjoy the equipment, how clean everything always is, and the staff! The staff here are so freaking amazing and so so friendly. Unfortunately, all of the equipment is stationary. Smith machines and what not. I think it's a great beginner gym but I have to find something new to fill my needs. Again, this is a great great place and I never have a negative time here. I highly recommend this facility to anyone just starting out!

I recently moved across state and been extremely busy with doing that, I didn't remember to call and have this gym switch my account info, but yesterday I got notified by text to update my billing info, to which I called them and explained that I forgot to do so and I would get them my bank info and kindly asked if they could waive my late fee, the manager here was extremely rude and wasn't understanding in my situation and wouldn't do it because I made the error and forgot. The sign up process was easy. We had a little problem with getting the app to work. But, the young man took my phone, of course with my permission, and worked with it a few moments to get the login work from the phone scan.

The place is clean and well laid out.

Be careful about which locker room you enter. The markings are not really that distinctive and mounted up in the air about normal eye sight.
